Vista Home Premium suddenly said that my product is not authentic...

I bought my laptop years ago, it came with Windows Vista Edition Home Premium preinstalled. It was working fine up until a week or two ago when it suddenly appeared saying that my product is not authentic. Help me please!

Thanks in advance.

    Hello

It s no vista for free and legally download

with an acer you never drives with him press Alt + F10 when you see the Acer start at startup screen

who should begin the process of recovery back to factory settings

Acer has do provide you with a way to reinstall vista, either way or a recovery (Alt + F10) on your disk partition hard or using recovery discs

    and read this:

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • have to reactivate Vista Home Premium (for the second time), but did not have the product key - thinking that I had to upgrade to Windows 7 instead.

Now, I had recover and restore to factory settings on my PC for the 2nd time in 2 years (I think a problem for Vista?).  Rather than activate Vista Home Premium (which I did not anyway-25 character product code), I thought it would be beneficial (and relieve another instance) upgrade to Windows 7?  I would appreciate any thoughts. Is that what I do online and Windows 7 will work around the Windows Vista Home Premium?  No risk of problems since Windows 7 is new?  I basically use it for home, but like following applications.  Windows 7 is having the same issues that has Vista?

You cannot switch to windows 7 since Vista without activation of Vista.

  • A legal version of Vista Home premium suddenly "not true."

Yesterday I suddenly got an alert on my cell "Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of Windows is not genuine".
My copy is pre-installed on my Lenovo Y510 laptop several years ago and is the real deal.
I did nothing unusual/different to my laptop only a few weeks, against my better judgment, I downloaded and installed SP2. I had all sorts of issues with SP2 in the past and uninstalled many years ago but as I could not find a security (Norton or Kaspersky) package that could work without it, I had to install again.

    Hello
I tried to follow the instructions you gave, but was never given the option to "Country" or "Phone Activation" - perhaps because Vista is preinstalled by Lenovo? I just kept getting messages that I have the product was not authentic and if necessary, to buy a new code of product etc...
So I ignored the messages that the version of Windows, I had was invalid and found and seized the key to product repeatedly. Of course I should have done cela all along , but I assumed that the messages I received on the version being not authentic not meant that this step would bring back me to square one - and other assignments seem to imply the same - a message that the version was not genuine meant that it would be useless to enter the product key.
. My version is now accepted as authentic by just entering the product key, although I seem to have lost some functionality (background had to be changed etc.). And I am still puzzled about my Vista how happened to legal illegal overnight!

My apologies to send you on a wild goose chase!

Your problem is that the PC is unable to properly read the table BIOS SLC, which should not be able to activate the key to OEM_SLP product in use here.

You must change the key to that on your COA sticker on the case of the machine, using the link to the product key of Cange the bottom of system properties - you will then need to activate by phone.

  • Windows 7 Home Premium also said that it is not authentic.

Original title: Windows 7 Home Premium MSDN Version.

I have an MSDN license and my Windows 7 Home Premium said again that it is not authentic.  Any ideas that I can do to solve this problem.

    Is there an expiration?

You actually have a MSDN subscription where you obtained this license or did you get the someones MSDN subscription license?

If you got someone, then the license is used. If its your subscription, you have a few options.

Reactivate the existing product key by phone or get another key for Windows 7 Home Premium on your subscription and use it.

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

    Hello

Gpedit.msc is not available in Windows 7 Home premium.

It is available in the Enterprise and Ultimate editions of Windows 7 Enterprise.

If you want to disable caching of thumbnails, you can access the registry editor and go to changing the location according to the value

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\DisableThumbnailCache

Set it to 1 to disable the cache

To do: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Why is-Windows Vista Home Premium suddenly full of bugs?

My taskbar becomes glitchy at least 5 times a day. I can't right click and maximize/minimize a window in the taskbar. The tabs in the window in the taskbar are mixed and overlap on the other. In addition to this, most of my icons can not work the way they used to.

    Help, please.

Well, I've restored my computer to factory settings and works very well for the last 2-3 hours. After a few hours, I have the same problem all over again after the download and installation of Windows updates.

    I still need help. :(

Uninstall the installed updates and install them one at a time to find the culprit.

Also - is that what you did update all hardware drivers?  Use not anything BUILT IN Windows to do - actually figure on what hardware you have (motherboard chipset, video card, audio devce (s) of device and network for example) and withdraws the manufacturers of each driver.

You may use data recovery software to recover data if it is not found in the trash.

Online search using your favorite search engine to get it.
