  • create the VISTA recovery disc

    A friend set more than his HP Pavilion dv6226us running VISTA laptop.  The hard drive was full and the machine could not be used for anything else.  Keep wiping the dirve and start over, but there's a VISTA disk recovery for the machine.  The D: partition where HP backup files has been deleted from disk Recovery manager is not an option.  Check the HP support site and there is no the recovery disc for HP for this laptop model with VISTA, at least when I entered all the information on the site it does not list anything.

    Is there anything that can be done by copying the correct files in the WINDOWS directory on drive C.

    Thanks for any help in advance.

    There is a third party site that sells necessary recovery kits. You can try to order a Web site:

    Hello

    Have a Pavilion DV9000 (Service Tag: DV9824CA).  I lost my HD... need to replace.  Unfortunately, I didn't create the recovery discs when HD was alive (stupid me).

    I ordered the Kit of recovery Vista Home Premium 32B dual language at HP ($45).  The package came with only 1 DVD.  It is clearly stated on the DVD (1 of 2).  During the installation of the first DVD... He injects and asks for DVD #2... surprise, surprise... after many calls with HP support, they insist that this is a single DVD.

    Am I missing something here?

    Thank you!

    FYI... received a letter of apology from HP and 2 recovery DVDs Vista.

  • Windows Vista recovery disc

    I can't load the Windows Vista recovery disks (3 in total).  The Recovery Manager has not opened.  I went up to step 3 only.  I guess the restore disc (CD 1) failed.

    Hello:

    Sometimes the recovery disks do not work for one reason or another.

    If you can still read all 25 characters of the Vista product key on the COA Microsoft sticker on the bottom of your PC, you can do your own Vista installation disc that should at least get an operating system reinstalled on your PC.

    Here's how:

    If you are in a fault light but rewarding you can do yourself if you can read your product key of Vista on the PC of 25 characters.

    You just download the 3 files you need on the link below and read all the instructions to create a Setup bootable DVD disk using imageburn.

    Do not take into account the part of the text in the first screen shot about "extract the files in the folder of Vista."

    The files were extracted already in this folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screenshot.

    The other thing I noticed is on the 4th page, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in me, and then the other codes already filled in.

    When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message on a WIM file, file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.

    I selected no, make the ISO file.

    It was not so hard to do. I burned both the disk of 64-bit and 32-bit disk in case I ever need them.

    I tested both of them on my hp dc7100 CMT PC desktop computer, they worked perfectly.

    When you enter the product key, he knows which version of Vista you have.

    After you install Vista successfully, you can then install the drivers for your PC and driver page support.

    Update:  This is the new link to your own Vista installation media.

    Click on the link below and then click on the link PDF Guide of reinstalling Windows.

    Follow the instructions on pp 295-297.

  • creation of base of vista recovery disc

    I would like to build a recovery for my laptop vista Basic. How can I do this

    Vista preinstalled:

    Most computer manufacturers have a feature to make your own recovery discs - check your manual if you don't know how (the process is different with each computer).

    Retail Vista:

    You can use a hard drive program imagery - both below both allow you to make a boot disk to start the recovery, and the two programs allow you to split the backup on several DVD. A system image will restore your computer to its state exactly when the image has been made - which will save you the trouble of having to reinstall Windows and installed everything currently at new, and it takes much less time to do.

    Hello

    read this:

    Ways to reinstall Vista

    Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

    they do it for a nominal cost of $

    also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

    you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

    Ask them of the exact key sequence

    or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

    Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

    they contain all versions of vista

  • Problem with the Vista recovery disc

    I downloaded the neosmart Vista recovery disk.  I also downloaded the iso burner to create a bootable disk.  The first time, I used a DVD to make the bootable disc.  I then went to defective laptop (my dads - will not go beyond the page that is displayed when you stop suddenly).  I went into Setup to make searching the disk first to start.  I inserted the disc and everything works well, but only for the first, a short walk.  It tell me that windows loads the files and I see the bar moving across the screen.  Then I get the screen you see green bars that cross as if its about to start.  Next, I get a screen with a great slider and a small box saying error of Setup.exe.  If I do nothing, nothing happens, if I click OK it starts the whole process.  I decided to try everything from scratch and delete my copy of vista from torrent and re downloaded recovery disk.  I then burned on a CD using the standard iso-burner and exactly same problem again.

    I'm going wrong somewhere or is the computer of my father beyond saving?

    I got Dell fixed in my mind, for some reason any!

  • On Portege M400 Vista recovery disc creation

    I upgraded a M400 that came with XP to Vista Business. The Toshiba Recovery disk utility delivers a message 'no partition found HARD disk'. The management console displays a recovery partition - but there probably still recovery XP info.

    Anyone have any ideas on how to transfer in a Vista recovery image in this partition? Is this available at Toshiba somewhere in the world? I can get my tech support people to hunt it if we know that there are...

    Hello

    Maybe you should correctly format the drive and delete all partitions with an external program (like UBCD-> "Ultimate Boot CD") and then try again.

    It may be that the XP recovery partition blocks the new recovery/installation process.

    If I were you, I would try this format-thingy.

    If not, take another HARD disk and try with that. ;)

  • cannot restore the system with the Vista recovery disc, computer stuck in step 3 of 3 loop

    Hi all

    My computer has been blocked in the formidable step 3 of 3 loop. I followed the advice of Mr. Murphy and created the Vista recovery disk. I loaded it and followed the instructions. Everything was fine. I chose a 5 days ago restore point, and it went well until he must "finalize the restoration of files...". ». That's where he stayed - it would not be completed. I tried the restore points different, all with the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Try to make with her startup repair.

    With this CD, you can also do a startup repair of your Vista OS with it.

    If she can't do a startup repair and system restore has failed, it is time to consider doing a re-install of the Vista operating system.

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to make the recovery disk/s of the recovery Partition in case of hard drive failure or System Crash, about what you are up and running again.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
  • Where can I get the Vista recovery disc - Satellite P205D-S8802
    Hey guys,.
    Last year, I bought my Toshiba Satellite P205D-S8802
    I got no CD Recorvy, but if I want to do the training, the HARD disk I need the disk
    Where can I get the disc?
    I have the original Windows Vista Home premium (the button on the laptop is a Microsoft label)
    Thank you for the help
    Hello
    To me, it seems that Satellite P205D-S8802 is a series of portable US.
    You should be able to order the recovery of the ASP disk in your country.
    Otherwise, you need an original Vista from Microsoft and the pilots could be downloaded from the American pilot site.
    But note; You may not use the Vista serial number which is placed at the bottom.
    It belongs to the preinstalled Vista and it s version just an OEM
    The disc is bootable - simply insert the disc 1 in the bin and restart the machine - you should have an option to boot from the CD (if not, read your manual for instructions) - recovery then reformat the hard drive and continue the installation.
    MAKE SURE THAT YOUR DATA IS BACKED UP FIRST! -to external media.
