Hello

If you only have the restoration of out of the box Vista or Vista SP1, it is not supported.

You must have the Vista SP2 for extended support.

Here's the advice I give to posters for a reinstallation:

Click Start > right click on computer > left click on properties > see if you have Vista 32 bit or Vista 64-bit installed.

It will also tell you which SP you have installed.

Then, choose the download of 'bit' OK to use to install Service Packs, installation of SP1 first if it is not already installed.

Vista SP1 32-bit (x 86): http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30

Vista SP1 64-bit: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=21299

Vista SP2 32-bit (x 86): http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16468

Vista SP2 64-bit: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17669

This Information Microsoft can help you resolve problems that you encounter during the installation of Service Packs for Vista.

  • The limit of the device must be less than or equal to the limit of life cycle license in first cisco 2.2

    Hi all

I have seen under error in the tool main 2.2 Cisco infrastructure

The limit of the device must be less or equal to the limit of license of life cycle and also secondary device ISE inaccessible since premium.

Could you please suggest how we can solve your problem.

    Thanks in advance...

    Kind regards

    Sachin

Yes. Life cycle license are by smart device managed. See this page for a good overview:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/cloud-systems-management/Prime...

.. as well as this page:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/cloud-systems-Managemen...

    .. who States:

Life cycle license: allows access to all the features of the life cycle, which includes the configuration of the devices, image management software, basic health and performance monitoring, fault management, troubleshooting and customer visibility on the network. The license of the life cycle is based on the number of managed devices. Life cycle of the licenses are available in sizes from package of 25, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10,000 and 15 000 devices and can be combined as needed to reach a total number of device under license.

A device is uniquely identified through the assigned IP address and system object ID (SysOid). Routers, switches, light/unified access points and network first Cisco (NAMs) analysis Modules are charged on the number of licenses. If a switch stack is managed via a single IP address, it counts as a single device. A single frame will, however, be counted as multiple devices if the chassis is configured with several IP addresses. For example, a switch with several service cards, such as a firewall and so forth, or a stackable switch with an IP address assigned to each switch who is involved in the stack is considered multiple devices within the first Cisco Infrastructure. Cisco Wireless LAN controllers (WLCs), autonomous and peripheral access points third are not counted against the number of licenses.

When you have more devices that licenses, you will receive the error see you and prevented from adding additional devices to your inventory.

We see it more often when it is light (i.e. not independent) APs are added to a wireless controller. PI will not prevent the new APs to be added, they are managed under their association with the WLC. However, if you try to add a new switch it would prevent you to do until the deficit of licenses has been sent.

  • I try the installation key OEM Office or upgrade to another version of Vista

Hi, I had the same problem here.

until someone shows me at the door, shouting that I have tried the vista OEM key to install office or upgrade to another version of vista, here are the facts:

    -C' is my work laptop.
-It was installed with a volume work XP pro license.
-J' changed jobs, negotiated to keep my laptop in the process.
-I'm legitimate, I don't want the volume from my previous job license.
-I am reloading the preinstalled version of vista from the CD supplied with the notebook microsoft (not the CD before installing, I wanted a windows clean and neat)
-L' label on the back of the PC say "vista home premium OEMAct".
-I am running windows vista Home premium
-J' I updated my bios to the latest version
    -vista will not activate automatically.
-J' tried to call microsoft for manual activation. the IDS are recognized (if you try to enter a wrong number, it is said that there is a mistake), but when I hit "next" after having typed the ID told me on the phone, I get an error indicating that the code is wrong.

a now I get the Activation Assistant 0xC004E002 error when I try to run it.

I don't see what I did wrong... someone has a lead what to do next, other than reinstalling windows?
I don't want to bother to reinstall all drivers and applications (openoffice, java, firefox, xnview, avira antivir...) that I just installed.
And I want a working solution, as I am not really convinced that reinstall windows don't lead me to the same problem on new.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards

    Hello

First of all-> you have a Toshiba laptop?
If so,-> to the Vista preinstalled on your laptop is already activated!

The key at the bottom of the device belongs to the OEM of Vista version and it is just a confirmation that you are using a legal Vista operating system.
The key cannot be used with MS Office and other versions of Vista!

If you want to upgrade the Vista then you will probably get a new key from Microsoft.

  • New created manually on VISTA restore point erased all the other restore points

I have windows Vista and suddenly CCC.exe began to appear and has completely changed my office. All documents on my desktop and icons (file photo) have disappeared. My husband's office has not changed.  My main problem is I did a restore of the system on Jan. 28 and will use the system restore points was (the first being 18 Jan) but thought that I need to come back a few days, so I manually created a restore point from January 26, 2016. Nothing has changed, so I'll use the point 18 Jan restoration but disappeared from all available restore points earlier (before the manual creation of a new).

I want to make it clear that my restoration system and normally have restore points chose to EXCEPT those disappeared after creating a new restore point manually.   I spent a lot of time looking for answers without success - I've read a lot of problems have been System Restore does not work or restore points are deleted automatically, so that they do not apply to me.

    Help, please!

Although system restore must be maintained at a min. amount of restore points, in the cleaning disc, other options

Search button, clean the system restore, it removes all but the last restore point right... Back to youre

problem, try the R.clicking on the desktop/properties/find "change desktop icons" on the top left, again

window, select restore default settings, and / or modify, close... Then open cmd prompt, type cmd:

Sfc/scannow the file check/repair utility runs automatically. Once through, type: CHKDSK C: /F agree to restart.

    type: EXIT restart the pc

You can run the restoration cleaning before other measures are taken, this gets you the clean restore point

  • Vista hangs at the Welcome screen, restore points have been removed. Any help?

I've had trouble with this during about a week now. For reference, it seemed to just happen out of the blue - have not installed new drivers or hardware (to my knowledge). In addition, tried a restore a few weeks ago point and seemed to work... once. Now I can't explain it, but all the restore points have been removed too!

I'm not an expert, but I try to tackle these things and could help. Here's what I've done so far:

    -successfully started in safe mode.
    -Open "msconfig".

-tried to narrow down the suspects with Services' first.
    -Disabled all "Services".
    -Restarted and restarted successfully.
-Tried to reactivate Services' one by one.

-I got to the reactivation of service 'IKE and AuthIP IPsec keying modules' and restarted. Met again hung up on the Vista Welcome screen.
    -Restarted in safe mode.
-Disabled the "IKE" service... ». Restarted fine.
-Repeat the re - turn on and off cycle again, has got the hang up once more for good measure.
-Re-enabled all services except the "IKE" service... "and rebooted fine. Working on the computer now. [Dell Inspiron E1505 Laptop, running Vista SP 2 with 2 GB RAM]

I got exactly the same problem on Inspiron 1501 a parent who tried to correct - i.e. problem hanging welcome screen. I have just updated the drivers wireless to the support.dell.com site and have had 3 reboots success in a row, which is 2 more that I could realize by adjusting the parameters of startup using MSCONFIG. Interest how did you decide to update the wireless drivers?

    Hello

You can not access the system from the BIOS recovery.

F8 boot Options is your hope, but you say that they do not work

You need a Microsoft DVD to do a startup repair, or a restoration of the system, thanks to this Guide.

Manufacturers recovery disks normally do not have Service Options; they are normally a relocation to the factory only settings option.

Here is the guide to repair Options using a Vista DVD from Microsoft.
