Vista Snipping Tool SUPER SLOW opening
I have Vista Home Premium OS. The cutting tool is SUPER SLOW to open. It's my 2nd computer with the tool... the other was faster and open quickly. This takes a 60 - 65 seconds to open no. no matter what program I'm trying to snip from.
The first time it happened, I clicked on the icon always thinking, I miss-clicked. After that it still does not open, I went to click again and realized that I couldn't see my cursor. I thought since I had moved out of sight. Doesn't seem to be the case, because as soon as the tool is opened, the cursor is visible.
In addition, when it opened, is not the dialog box that appears, it is grayed out with the X cursor ready to cut selection screen. It opens without me having to select new and rectangle, etc. Since it is functional, I can live with the slow, but it is very annoying.
Any suggestions?
Another suggestion:
Run a file system check. See if it can find any corrupt files and be able to fix them.
Note: there is a space between 'sfc' and ' / '.
To sit and wait. It will take time.
When finished, exit the cmd window.
Reboot (restart your computer)

Vista Snipping Tool - accidentally deleted from the computer. How can this be restored?
I accidentally deleted the tool cutting on my windows vista computer. I sent the tool cutting on the desk and I should have created a shortcut on the desktop. I thought I was remove a shortcut and not the actual tool. I looked on the computer of the tool, but it seems to have disappeared completely. I can't run system restore because it was some time before I realized my mistake and you do not have a date for the restoration. Searched in the downloads of Microsoft but only capture tool is for tablets. Please help as I really like this tool

If you open your Windows Explorer program, go to the C:\windows\System32 folder, you see the file Snippingtool.exe?
If so, you should be able to right click and do a sortcut to your desktop or add a shortcut to the Quick Launch bar
Otherwise, you can try the following steps and check.
Step 1:
Try refreshing the Snipping Tool installation. This tool is part of the Tablet PC optional components in Windows Vista.
a. open Control Panel, click Classic view in the task pane.
b. double-click programs and features.
c. click on the 'activate Windows features and turn off' in the task pane.
This window may take a few minutes to display.
When the options appear in the list, scroll to the "Tablet PC Optional Components" and remove the check mark for this element.
d. click OK, leave everything and restart the computer.
Once the computer restarts, go back to control panel and repeat the same procedure.
This time the check box adds the "Tablet PC Optional Components".
This will install these components in the system with a new copy of all the files.
Step 2:
You also, try to run a SFC scan to check all corrupted files.

You don't say which edition of Vista you are using.
Vista Home Basic Edition does not have the "snipping tool".
If you have a different edition of Vista, read the information on how to find it:

I ran widows update several times in the 3 weeks I had this thing... because some patches are required to be missing or something...
My 8 year running original OEM XP Dell sweeps the new Toshiba and Vista...

Click on the Start button and type capture in the search box menu star. The cutting tool application should appear at the top of the search results.
As the cutting tool is an integral part of Windows, you might have to reinstall windows to return to the tool. Assuming, of course, you had accidentally deleted.

Snipping Tool background dims the screen
The cutting tool opens with a dark gray background, which dims the screen completely. I don't see what I want to snip. If I "blindly snip", I get a black rectangle. I have Vista Business with Service Pack 2. The options do not seem to help. I searched the web and Microsoft, and I can't find any reference to this problem.
What happens if you do a right click on the tool and set the properties / Advanced "run as Administrator"? Again you should not use that, but it may be a workaround.
You might be able to do something with this information, for example, uninstall and reinstall the tool to uncheck and recheck the "Tablet PC optional components ", see what you think?

I've used the cutting tool and when I chose the desired airei snip I exposed it and clicked on save, choose the name of the file and then save it to the location and the area that I've snipped was copied and saved (only the area) now when I even snip saved as a file opens as any browser with the snip in a tab of the browser. I would like to just the area I have not chiseled the entire browser to open when I see it. Does anyone know how to get back to the way it was working before. (not just snip all browser open)

Mail on OS X 10.11.1 9.1 is SUPER SUPER slow. It is a new problem. No updates have been made to the MacBook Pro 15 "2.5 Ghz Mid 2009 laptop computer.
After clicking on the Mail icon, it begins to start and EVERYTHING is slow analysis. Mail takes about 15 min to open and is still useless because its so slow.
Sorry for the mistake, but Long page that's how long it took for the Mail program to start then I force quit it.
Can anyone help why mail will not work properly and why all the errors?
