Vista starts successfully with the message "the user profile failed" (or something of the sort)

I have windows vista basic, it connects but not a lot of my files or programs loading, then I get a pop up one down left corner of the screen that says "the user profile service failed" or something in that sense. I did a backup of my files. How can I solve this problem?... is there a way I can do without running a system restore

Hello

1st thing to try is the system in safe mode restore to before the problem

http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

If necessary do in safe mode

Windows Vista

Using the F8 method:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
  3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
  4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
  5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
  6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

If that does not solve it read more

read the tutorial below

http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/130095-user-profile-service-failed-logon-user-profile-cannot-loaded.html

When you log on a Windows Vista-based or a Windows 7 computer by using a temporary profile, you receive the following error message:

The user profile Service has not logon. User profile cannot be loaded.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947215#letmefixit

Your user profile was not loaded correctly! You have been logged on with a temporary profile.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947242

If you tried to log on to Windows and received an error message telling you that your user profile is damaged, you can try to fix it. You will need to create a new profile and then copy the files from the existing to the new profile.

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones! Bold 9700 is frozen on start up with the new sim card

I tried looking for similar topics but could not find more relevant. everyone seems to have no problem with swapping of cards sim on their fat. If there is a thread already open, I'm sorry. I am really frustrated and really need my blackberry to be operational.

I have a Bold 9700, updated to the latest OS, everything works fine. I recently had some problems with my old sim card so I went to my service provider to change to another (same number, same line, same contract, just a new sim card).

As it is expected that I was told that when my old sim is disabled, simply insert my new and I use my phone as normal.

However, when I did this, the phone was stuck at the loading screen (the bar is all white) for eternity (maybe 5 minutes or more) before moving on to the home screen. There is no charge "security check" bar, the phone is completely frozen, no buttons work, the touch pad does not work, it shows 3G top right without the sign of blackberry, there is no service provider name and from time to time the little loading logo clock is displayed.

I pulled the battery a couple of times and the problem persists. I called the service provider to reactivate the new sim card, they did 3 times, same problem. I inserted the SIM in other non-blackberry phones that I have and it works on all phones. When I put my old sim card in the 9700 disabled, the phone start end in 2-3 minutes, 'check' safety bar according to normal, everything moves, just no connection to the service. When I turn on the phone without sim card it starts fine with a message to say out loud the card sim.

I even went down to the assistance service technique blackberry from my service provider and they were no help. all they could say was 'we must wipe your phone and reload the software' that I'm trying to avoid, and I can do it myself anyway.

My phone is unlocked, comes unlocked here in Singapore, I even checked using the method 'MEPD', all disabled.

This was very frustrating, especially when I need my blackberry for work. What is the problem with my phone? How can the simple replacement of a sim card if difficult on a blackberry when there is problem free for ANY other phone I've ever used? I am now fear when I travel abroad for business and requires a foreign sim card.

had the same problem and eventually happeing is that I had to reload my os permeable, and then insert the sim card and upgrade again.

Go to your retail store, they should have the disk recovery for you or you need to go to your manufacturer directly because the manufacturer is best qualified to support the software that the manufacturer has installed on the hardware, provide your serial number and order the CD on their part. I bet they arrange an expedition to the France and tax treatment for it, but should not be too much.

Note: The manufacturer was required to provide a way to reinstall Windows. If it is not a set of disks with the computer, there will be a hidden restore partition (do not be confused with the system restore), you would use to return the computer to the State of the OOBE (Out of Box Experience).

    OK, im losing my mind.

I bought a copy of airborne for my 32 bit vista system and found initially that I had to do a few tricks to install and play it like UN-installing ageia phys-x, it was simple enough. Well I have had since stopped playing it and would try to uninstall without result. I tried to fix it and using "C-cleaner.

I went down some of the files, but I think that my registry is a little buggy so I tried blocking it with c cleaner, he sure found several errors and fixesd them.

Well, I'm trying now to re - install MOHA and when I put the disc and click autorun the pre-start games window appears with the usual options, play, upgrade, site Web etc... I can't repair or uninstall or install. I read somewhere that it is a firewall with windows problem and if I run my firewall victory "which I have never on", this should work if the software is added to the 'green' list on the firewall.

now I find that I can not get my firewall to start. I researched and found a few forums where people explained to the services command prompt and tried to 'start' several 'order' in there and firewall programs will not start giving me this error-windows cannot start service windows firewall. and the code of error-6801.

    Hi rocknerd,.

You can try to download the Windows Installer Cleanup utility and try to remove the game, and then reinstall it.

You can read the following article to download the Windows Installer Cleanup utility:

    1. click on Start , then select all programs

    2. in all programs , click Windows Installer Cleanup; the Windows Installer Clean Up Utility window appears, listing the software currently installed on your computer.

    3. Select the game in the list, then click on Remove. If you have multiple files, delete all the.

After you run the Windows Installer Cleanup utility try to re install the game and check if it works on your computer.

  • Satellite Pro P200 - 1KE Vista loses contact with the second internal HARD drive

Vista Business SP2. I have a Satellite Pro P200-1KE, with two 160 GB drives: a Hitachi configured as C: (operating system, programs, etc.) and E: (data, other programs). The second is a Toshiba MK1637GSX. This little about it and nothing of any importance and is normally configured as d. Unfortunately this hard drive has now become invisible to Vista, although it is still recognized by BIOS and Device Manager. In managing computer does not appear in the list in the upper pane, it comes without a letter from reader below. I have tried everything I know to get recognized, including the following:
    (In no particular order):

    * Remove computer - managed, reset as a single Volume: it always fails
    * Reformat to NTFS using Linux GParted or utility disk Linux (via a USB stick with Linux ice Peppermint on that nerd), sometimes combined with the restoration of the system - it works, but only for a single session. She always disappears again when you restart
    * Remove the driver from Device Manager and pointing plug-and-play with Windows System 32 and Windows Update - which seems to return the driver - but does not recognized disk, unfortunately
    * Meanwhile, throughout all this, Vista insists on finding a driver for "unknown device" that she sometimes found and (allegedly) installs and sometimes find one fails to install.

    Bah!

Anyone know anything else I can try - preferably without having to reinstall the entire operating system, or run the risk of using Toshiba Hardware Setup that does not seem to come with all the instructions and enigmatic, who wonder if I want to delete stuff 'selected', without showing me what kind of things I am alleged to have selected for removal!

    Best
    David

If this second HDD is not so important to try to start the original installation disk Microsoft (Vista or Win7) to see if the second HDD will be recognized for the installation procedure.
You can also try to install Win7 on this second HDD to see if the installation is correctly finalized. Later, you can check if you can start the second HARD drive preinstalled OS.

Test just to see if this problem is related to Vista only.

  • Starting problem with the gray screen on iMac

    Hello everyone

I'm a bit puzzled with a problem I'm having with my iMac 27 "a model late 2009, bought in early 2010, I had built at the time with 8 GB ram, 2 TB HD and fastest i7 Quad core processor available at the time.

I'm running El Capitan, and all wise OS is perfectly up to date.

The other week, after a systematic restart, I have a gray screen and little else.  Another reboot and everything was "normal", so I did not concern me unduly.

Today, after that the Mac had been idle for a time during a call, the screen fell asleep as usual (I do not SLEEP the computer itself), but during his return and touch the SPACEBAR and key "ESC", the screen remains black.

So I made a forced shutdown and restart.

I get the screen gray and normal startup (no other sounds) chime followed by the apple logo and the startup progress bar.  He gets to halfway through the long, and then instead of bring to the top of the login page, it's just going to a gray screen Uni.

So I restarted in safe mode, OK and ran disk utility a couple of times - at the first crossing, he noted, there a problem with the map of partition which can cause problems starting, but on the second passes and the following, everything has been noted to be OK - and the SMART status of disk has been verified.

After a reboot - the same question as above - of carillon, gray screen with the apple logo, progress bar and then just a gray screen.  I did another secure boot and re-run of disk utility, rebooted into recovery mode and run disk utility.  And again, no problems reported.

Another reboot and the issue was always there.

So this time I rebooted into recovery again mode and downloaded a new installation of El Capitan.

Unfortunately, there is no set - it is always start on a gray screen after the startup chime, the apple logo and progress bar.

I have also removed all my account account startup items and disconnected all USB devices.

I'm a bit lost for what to do next to be honest!

Is there anything else I can do software wise, at home, or is it time for the repair material re shop perhaps?

Thank you very much for your words of wisdom and support

    Kind regards

    John... :-)

    John here again: :-)

Just a quick update which may help to determine what the problem is: I restarted in safe mode, after the reinstallation of the operating system was unable to initialize properly - grey screen again.

However, as I have a home network, I found that I can not connect on the network with my MacBook Pro to the iMac, see all my files user on the iMac and even copy them across to the MacBook Pro with no problems.

Everything on the iMac is saved via Time Machine on a Western Digital Firewire HD 3to.

I also have uncompressed manual 'straight' copies of my music, movies, documents folders, etc, for an old time Capsule, currently acting as a bridge to my ethernet network wireless, and provide additional backup for those critical files - my music for example is ripped 350 odd CD, all legally purchased in ALAC on iTunes on the iMac - which represents a couple of months of work... lol... no way I want to lose that!

So I'm a bit of a loss.  Disk utility reported no problem with the drive... I can boot into safe mode and recovery, but normal mode 'mode '... I always get the chime, the screen with apple logo and progress of the gray bar, then goes to just a gray screen instead of the login page.

    Help!

My beloved Einstein had a hiccup!

All comments appreciated and thanks again - hope this extra info helps

    Kind regards

  • Windows 8 will not start even with the CD after uninstalling Linux

Hi, I am currently faced with problems with my Dell Inspiron with Windows 8 3520 is installed. I had been dual-boot it with Linux Mint for a while with no problems until I decided to go completely back using Windows for convenience.  As I had installed Linux by creating a partition I followed online guides to remove the partition on which it was found, and expand the partition holds Windows to its original size. This seemed to go off without incident, until I tried to delete Grub and got to the start of the back straight to Windows computer. I followed a couple of different guides without result and finally ran a program called Boot Repair that just make things worse. After you run the program, my computer began to start directly on a screen of recovery with the error message:

Boot your pc configuration data is missing or contains errors
    File: \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD
    Error code = 0xc000000f

After that happened, I called Dell and pushed them to send a disk of Windows 8 for me, so I could try a clean reinstall, I thought I'll fix it. Unfortunately it allows me to boot the disk. Everytime I try (when entering the BIOS and selecting the CD drive to boot from the disc) I get a message saying missing operating system, along with various things I can provide if required, and ending in asking me to insert the bootable media in the selected drive, press which just repeated the same message again. I ' v read on various fixes online without result, most who ask me to change the CD in first priority which I can't do is not listed as an option in the menu accessed by pressing F2 BIOS. I tried to add my CD drive option, but when I click in it, instead of getting the readers of CD or something like that, I get a menu called select Media Driver with options like this:

    WDC WD10JPVT-75A1YTP - Partition 1

the only difference between them being the partition to which they are assigned, 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. If I press on enter on any of this that it brings me to another menu called select media with a variety of different options, which change depending on the partition that I chose, which none means nothing to me. I don't know enough to try anything more, and even people at Dell seem to be at a loss. Any help would be much appreciated because I am completely lost at this point and this is my first laptop.
