Vista update install habit and now computer is dead

An update to my last post

After all the below, he said now I have three options.

Is there a way to preserve my data on my hard drive?  What is the best way to solve this problem.  I don't have the system disk.

I have an old HP DV9000 to a year which will not restart after installing updates.  It comes to configuring updates step 1 from 3 to about 98% and then stops.

It then says unable to start windows and start the repair program windows for about 5-10 minutes.  He said that you want to use the system restore.  I tell Yah Why Not.  Then, it will stop and start the cycle.

The error in the Startup Repair States the following

After a bunch of tests successful

Root cause found:

c:\ntoskrnl.exe is corrupted.

Repari Action: Repair of files
Result: failed.  Error code = 0xa
Duration 6521ms

Action repair system restore
Result: Completed successfully

He then returns to the cycle all over again.

I turned the clock to October with F10 at startup but that did nothing.

Hello

Did some research on this error message, it seems to be a specific problem with the HP recovery disk.

  • Installed Vista Update 1 package and now windows will not start

I have a laptop Acer Aspire 4520 with a 32-bit system 64 x 2 dual core processor with Windows Vista Home Premium and just installed explorer8 updates Vista I get the package. Installed successfully, took about 45 minutes. Tells me to restart my computer. Click on restart. It restarted with goin' through bunch of # s as the first part 24 390 / 74 280 in growing in order to achieve the final number that it stopped at about 34 761 or something like that for over an hour.  I assumed that it froze. I did a hard closed down and after reboot door top, unable to start Windows.  A recent hardware or software change might be the cause and options to start windows normally or start the reboot system (recommended).  I chose normally, microsoft corporation logo came on screen with progress/cargo in addition to this box, and then it turns off and rebooted itself.  This time I chose the launch startup repair and he went to remove some threads or something and add as 9 things that did not file names.  He said he was doing a CLNDSK?  It was the only time he's done this. Now, either you the hit button brings up a blue screen that says "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down windows to avoid damaging your computer."  If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer.  If this screen appears again, follow these steps: ensure that new anuy hardware or software is properly installed.  If it is a new installation, ask your hardware manufacturer or software, the windows updates, you might need.  If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software.  Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.  If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safe Mode.  Technical information: * STOP: 0x0000C1F5 (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0 x 0000000 0x00000000) is once again this whole message on a blue screen in which you can proceed to any other, but to stop the machine.  I even tried the advanced, including Boot Options: repair your computer, safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt Mode Mode Mode, boot logging, enable video low resolution (640 x 480), last good known Configuration (Advanced), Directory Services Restore Mode, Debug Mode and start Windows normally.  Disable the automatic restart on system failure works.  Another option is the F2 key on startup.  I CAN'T go near a window to start it's totally out!  And I do NOT have a disk of Vista, that it came with it.  Need solutions before I go out my hair.  (Good operating system until the download and I only downloaded this because I download Adobe Flash Player 11.2 problems and I thought about updating my Windows can help)  Ready to take this computer back unless it is quickly fixed.

.. .just for a future heads up what should I update on a new system from Microsoft.

    Hey there Scotchman2926,

I understand that you are experiencing some problems with Apple music on Sierra. I have a few suggestions to help you solve this problem. First of all, if you are unable to access the iTunes Store as well as music from Apple, use the information in this article to help resolve this problem:

If you cannot connect to the iTunes Store - Apple Support

If this does not resolve the problem, you might try signing out of your Apple ID in iTunes and then connect again.

Thanks to be come to the communities of Apple Support and let us know how it goes.

  • Updated my phone and now it won't let me back in without activating it all first.

Hello, I was wondering if there was someone who could help me. Updated my phone and now it won't let me back in without activating it all first. Then I entered the Apple ID and password, and he repeated that they were all both wrong. So I double checked my ID on Apple's site, and it was the same one that I entered. I've also updated my password. My phone still telling me that my references are false. I can't call someone, because I'm locked out of my phone. I can't use my email in relief, because it requires a text on my phone, and I can't call Apple... because, well, I'm stuck on my phone. My fiance is not here, so I can't use her phone. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do?

    < re-titled by host >

What the exact text of the error message you see when you try to activate the device? Say that the two are bad is a bit vague and doesn't look like an I've heard before. It is important to determine what exactly is the problem.

  • I installed LeechBlock and now I can not find! Can someone tell me where and how to access it?

    Hello

I'm new to using addons, so please forgive my ignorance. I installed LeechBlock and now I don't see where to find it. Can someone tell me where and how to access it? I looked under Addons on the Tools menu, but this is just options to install addons more.

I thought there would be a button on the toolbar, or even a new toolbar, but I don't see anything...

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, you are almost there! When you look at the Add - ons you must select the Extensions on the left side, and you should see and your AdBlock plus. It can also be a button on the bar of 3 menu - but I'm not familiar with that particular module so cannot be sure about that.

    Hope that helps.

  • Downloaded the update for Firefox, and now I can't get rid of AOL.

Downloaded the update for Firefox, and now I can't get rid of AOL. I tried to remove anything that is related to AOL and when restart Firefox... There are once again AOL. I even reinstalled Firefox... He was there again.

Where AOL is displayed - homepage?

I think the first thing to check is if you have any modules related to AOL. These can replace your regular settings. You can view and disable all extensions essential or unknown here:

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

Note that in most cases, you should use the link to restart Firefox to actually disable the extension that you have chosen to disable.

Then, to fix your homepage, try the procedure described in this article: How to set the home page.

If there is a problem with your suppliers of research from Google for AOL, try this extension:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/SearchReset/

    Any improvement?

Update of Firefox, and now all of the web pages and icons are inflated. How do I put back it as it was?

    Hello

Firefox on Windows is now after display, scaling options that can make the biggest text on screens at high resolution.
You can adjust the resolution of your screen.
To change it follow these steps:

    • Type of topic: config in the Firefox address bar and hit the Enter key.
    • If the warning that this might void your warranty , click I'll be careful, I promised.
    • Search for layout.css.devPixelsPerPx

    • Double-click layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to edit its value. The default value is - 1.0 in Firefox 22 and above. Change it to 1.0 to run as in previous versions of Firefox.

If necessary, further adjust the value of 0.1 or 0.05. Values between 1.0 and around 0.5 to reduce the size of the elements. Use a value greater than 1.0 to increase the size. For example, a value of 1.25 will increase the font size of the 125% to account for the default DPI setting in Windows 8. Check the value that you enter. Definition of a value that is too small will take everything away and too high will explode things.

If the web pages should always be adjusted so you can watch the extension Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint .

To adjust the font size for the user interface, you can use the extension of theme font & size changer .

This solve your problems? Please report to us!

    Thank you.
