Vista - Windows Defender does not refresh
After this last big security update by week or so age, my Windows Defender said that it is out of date. I tried several times by saying to update again, but it does not help.
It gives me an error or anything like that. I'll tell her to search for updates, it will sit for a few minutes, and then it will tell me that there are no new security definitions to install. And yet, he continues to insist that it is outdated.
I tried searching for a solution, but no luck. And as the title says, I'm on a Windows Vista.
Can you help me please?

If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.

I think I accidentally turned off Windows Defender by using Windows Defender. Now, Windows Defender does not start. How can I get this start?
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Defender-on-or-off
Turn Windows Defender on or off the information on the link above of Microsoft.
And also read this:
If you have Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, McAfee, Norton, etc. installed, they have a conflict with Windows Defender, or turn it off.
Microsoft Security Essentials has its own integrated version of the defender and it automatically disables the version of Vista in Windows Defender.
See you soon.

Windows Defender does not work: encounteredan error: 0x800705b4
I can't activated the windows Defender. I get this message:
Windows Defender does not work: encounteredan error: 0x800705b4. This operation returned because the time limit has expired.
What do you use for your antivirus protection? Windows Defender is not necessary if you use AVG, Microsoft Security Essentials, Norton or McAfee. These AV programs have their own antispyware component builtin and allows you to disable Windows Defender by design.

my windows Defender does not illuminate when I click on
my windows Defender does not illuminate
What other security programs you have running? Many as MSE, Norton, McAfee, AVG, etc., will stop Windows Defender because they have the same functionality, and having two programs running at the same time and make security the same work can lead to conflicts. This is by design and must be accepted by the user.

Exactly what virus or other malware, have you been hit with? How do you have
I know? They were removed? How?What anti-virus and anti-spyware programs you have installed? Are
they kept up to date?Be aware that Microsoft Security Essentials and safety
software automatically turn off Windows Defender for you, because
they contain a lot of the same functionality.Ken Blake
