Vista windows Recovery Manager

Hello

I need to use the recovery on my Windows Vista HP Pavilion Slimline Manager

S3401F Pc and have a question about it before as I did try. I do not have a virus or that type of question and do this recovery because of an error caused by the binary Java error message

and I use my pc to work from home.

In any case, my pc came with Vista already installed and I do not have a disc with my pc when I bought 6 nine years. So my question is this: when I use the Recovery Manager to get my pc to its original state as when I 1st bought, it also keeps windows Vista on my pc or it will also remove Vista? If so, then how can I get Vista on my pc.

Any help would be appreciated, I need to achieve this weekend but did not start without knowing the correct information.

Thank you

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion Slimline s3401f. According to the specification, this model came from the factory with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32 - bit installed. Using the HP Recovery Manager to run HP system recovery, will return the computer to a 'factory as a State. " This includes the creation of Windows partitions and recovery and the installation of Windows Vista, drivers HP, and all factory included software.

Please create your personal set of HP recovery discs before you recover your computer. This will allow you to recover from any problems that may occur during the recovery process.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    How to get windows vista copy my restore partition?
    At last thnx a lot

    Most laptops and many OEM desktop computers (HP, Sony, etc.) come with a picture of factory restore on a special partition on the hard drive. The factory restore process is normally called by pressing a key of function (such as F11) to start the computer. There will be a message as to what function key press the screen when you start your computer. You can also consult the manual of your computer or the computer mftr.'s site, or contact technical support to learn how to restore your computer if you plant from each computer mftr. He does it differently - sometimes even between models.

    These machines also generally have a utility to create physical recovery disks in case the hard drive needs to be replaced or the factory restore image is somewhat damaged. If you have not created the recovery image recovery physical and/or damaged disks, contact technical support of computer mftr. to order a set of recovery disks. It is normally very expensive, around $20-25.

  • Recovery Manager HP dv7-1130el after a clean install of windows 7

    I'll do a clean install of windows 7 32 bit from Vista Home premium 32-bit.

    I would like to know if the Recovery Manager will continue to work, or might have a problem.

    I found on the page of the HP software for windows 7 two patches for update Recovery Manager:

    sp45823.exe who makes an upgrade (but not a clean install) and update generic sp44455.exe.

    This second patch help me avoid problems later with Rec.Man when I do the clean install?

    How should I do?

    Could someone tell me a Board.

    Thanks in advance.

    Make your recovery Vista using Recovery Manager disk before installing 7. then it won't matter to have a functional recovery Manager since it is only to reinstall the original OS and programs. It has no function in windows 7 other than to go back to Vista, which can be done with your if necessary recovery discs.

  • Envy TouchSmart d030xt 20: HP Recovery Manager blocked after upgrade Windows 10

    Yesterday, after the upgrade my computer to Windows Recovery Manager 10 is now blocked. It wasn't like this until I upgraded. I have a feeling that the operating system may have changed my security settings. (For example, when I try to change something in my pictures folder, UAC pops up) Anyone know how can I get Win10 to unlock Recovery Manager?

    OK, I found a solution. This is the certificate.

    What you need to do is:

    1. open 'C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\Recovery Manager' in the file Explorer.

    2. right click on Rebecca.exe (recovery program) and click "copy."

    3. paste it on your desktop.

    4 unzip this download http://www.fluxbytes.com/software-releases/fileunsigner-v1-0/

    5. drag your copied version of Rebecca.exe on FileUnsigner.exe

    6. right click on Rebecca.exe on the desktop and click "copy."

    7. paste in 'C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\Recovery Manager' and say yes to replace the existing file.

    8. search "HP Recovery Manager", click on it and a prompt will come, click 'Yes' and it should open.

    You can repeat this for other programs that are blocked. Basically, it removes the obsolete certificate which prevents opening in Windows 10.

  • Windows Vista does not start after you use the Hp Recovery Manager. What should I do?

    I used Recovery Manager to reinstall Windows Vista Basic 32-bit. During installation, it shows 0% completion although at the end it says everything is ok. After clicking on the button finish, he starts up the Recovery Manager again asking if I want to recover Windows. If I choose the Cancel button it restarts with the same Recovery Manager screen. What can I do?

    You can call HP technical support at 1-800-474-6836. Or you can give your product number, not the serial number, and I'll try to send you the link to order yourself.

    I suggest you make a set of HP recovery disks or USB recovery media before deleting access recovery.

    Deactiviating Recovery Manager is too easy.

    Remove the recovery partition.

    Are you sure you want to do this? Activation, it is much more difficult.

    I hope that you advise your friend aware of the consequences of the removal of the partition.

    Why not run a live version of Linux Mint from a USB key instead?

  • HP Recovery Manager in Windows 7

    I have HP Pavilion DV5 - 1111en with Vista Home Premium, but my little doughter hard disk crash and the operating system unbootable.

    I change the hard drive with a new one and also I change the OS with Win 7 Home Premium. I reinstall all the drivers, the laptop works very well.

    Using an external hard drive I plug the old hard drive and I see that the HP_Recovery partition is intact. How can I recover my old files?

    I can't find HP Recovery manager for Win 7.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    If you installed a retail version of Windows 7 (IE not an HP upgrade) you wil cannot find HP Recovery Manager, because it is only supplied with the OEM version of the operating system from HP.  As you have Windows 7 DVD to reinstall the OS, it is not really necessary anyway.

    The recovery Partition, you can see when your old HDD looking at just the files etc to reinstall the old operating system (Vista), it will not contain any of your files, photos, etc.  To locate these, if they are not corrupt, look in the old HARD drive C:\ partition.

    Best wishes

  • I need Recovery Manager or start the recovery within Windows

    Stupid boring history:

    I work in a local store of pawn and we also miss a place ebay store. Some people are not the brightest.

    We have a HP Pavilion A6400Z that origionally came with Vista Home Basic.

    Apparently at some point they thought it was too slow, so they took an acer recovery disk and put XP on there. There is no drivers / whatnot.

    I put vista Home premium on there to see how he could play, and it works well. The recovery partition is surprisingly intact, with all of the HP Preload files there.

    What I do:

    Only I have a disk of vista Home premium and want to the factory restore using the recovery partition that is always there.

    Pressing F11 at startup is not in recovery mode, I need to get the software HP Recovery Manager, or find a file on the partition recovery that will do it for me.

    Thank you in advance!

    By pressing F11 on HP Invent blue screen, as soon as it presents, should start the Recovery Manager.  If it isn't, there are two other ways to get it started.

    (1) try to start in Safe Mode, tapping F8 (not now) after the blue HP screen.  Then go on the recovery partition and mark it as active in the "disk management", then restart.  Back in safe mode, and it must ask that the installation of Windows you want.  If it does not order them HERErecovery Kit.  You can see several items that apply but do not require the "Vista Business". 5092-7398 or 5092-7399 should work.

  • Backup and HP Recovery Manager for Windows 7

    I installed all the software and drivers that came with the HP upgrade DVD. But, I found that the Backup and Recovery Manager missing on DVD. Is there a Backup and Recovery Manager for Win 7? I liked the manager backup and restore that was available on my Vista, when I bought this laptop, but is currently unavailable due to upgrade! All the solutions for this? I don't want to use the default Windows Backup that I don't have a separate HARD disk for the time to store the backup here and do not want to fill up my hard drive with data backup! Thank you.

    Ok thank you. I have my recovery partition intact Vista. So I think, I should be able to recover if I have some kind of problem! I was able to find a backup and recover in Win 7 itself. Maybe I should wait for the software will be released by HP. Thank you once again!

  • Windows Vista-> Windows 7 recovery problems

    Hi all.  First time poster here.

    Product = Compaq Presario 5550f desktop computer.  Windows Vista originally in November 2008, then upgraded to Windows 7 as soon as it was available.

    I recently caught a virus and all through the elimination of the virus in my office stopped the start (I think I've damaged boot sector).  Start diagnosis indicates a problem of disk (the disk scan did not complete).  As I worked on it longer, I've lost the ability to enter the Recovery Manager with the F11 key at startup, so I can't erase and start over.

    I pulled the hard drive, installed on my other desktop computer as a secondary drive and saved all my files (which I should have done before you start working on it...).  Also tried checkdisk on the other computer and he "found and corrected errors.  Installed in the original computer and still will not start.  Tried the Vista recovery disc I made in 2008 and get a '0 x 4001100200001012' error when loading files of operation is completed.  Did Windows 7 recovery disks, but from what I can tell the recovery partition is not get improved anyway.

    One possibility would be to order HP recovery disks, but if those that I did does not work, do not know HP ones.  I could reformat the partition C: to restore to another desktop computer, but makes me a little nervous.  I can't find a way to force it to boot directly from the recovery D: partition in the installation program.  What else can I try?  Help!

    Jeff

    In the process of closing the computer after typing my post, the computer went into Manager recovery by itself.  Maybe try to rerun the recovery discs did something?  Anyway, wiped her clean and back on Vista now (it sucks as far as I remember) and on my way back to Windows 7.

    1. who is the manufacturer of your computer?

    2 were there any hardware or software changes made on the computer before this problem?

    Try to start the computer in recovery options and then make a form of system restore it and check if it helps:

    Need to do a fresh install, it would be useful to know what was last removed or installed before this started.

    It will be useful.

    You have several choices for the way to resettlement; read the info below...

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
    See you soon.
