Envy TouchSmart d030xt 20: HP Recovery Manager blocked after upgrade Windows 10

Yesterday, after the upgrade my computer to Windows Recovery Manager 10 is now blocked. It wasn't like this until I upgraded. I have a feeling that the operating system may have changed my security settings. (For example, when I try to change something in my pictures folder, UAC pops up) Anyone know how can I get Win10 to unlock Recovery Manager?

OK, I found a solution. This is the certificate.

What you need to do is:

1. open 'C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\Recovery Manager' in the file Explorer.

2. right click on Rebecca.exe (recovery program) and click "copy."

3. paste it on your desktop.

4 unzip this download http://www.fluxbytes.com/software-releases/fileunsigner-v1-0/

5. drag your copied version of Rebecca.exe on FileUnsigner.exe

6. right click on Rebecca.exe on the desktop and click "copy."

7. paste in 'C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\Recovery Manager' and say yes to replace the existing file.

8. search "HP Recovery Manager", click on it and a prompt will come, click 'Yes' and it should open.

You can repeat this for other programs that are blocked. Basically, it removes the obsolete certificate which prevents opening in Windows 10.

Recovery does not work after update to windows 10, so we should remove, or there is a way to make it work as he was over 22 GB of memory.

I think also that it is not no matter what condition of recovery in windows 10 we can get new facility without worrying about product key because it is digitally embeded in our system.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

After completing an upgrade from 8.1 to 10 and if the activation was successful, then you have been activated using a new method called digital right. To win 10 you no longer need a key/COA sticker, etc. Next time you try activation on the same computer, it will get automatic activated due to the new method as long as it's the same PC (not a different).

In regard to the recovery partition - you can delete it if you think it doesn't, and if you do not plan to return to Windows 8.1

If you need any kind of recovery Win 10, you can simply download the ISO 10 Windows from the Microsoft web site and use it to
    - either burn it to a DVD

    - or write on a USB

You can then use this DVD/USB drive as a recovery to perform the steps of recovery or reinstallation complete Windows 10.

  • HP Envy all in one PC: Recovery Manager, the system restore is disabled by a virus

Had a virus on my all in one PC envy after a free update to windows 10. Computer has been closing down could not get antivirus to work fast enough. After reboot system had disappeared. There is now no operating system. HP Envy Recovery manager, System Recovery is not highlighted, do not not the possibility to do a restore? Virus stronger than I've ever met. Thank you in advance.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

It would NOT in fact the virus which prevents HP Recovery Manager to work.

While Microsoft says there is no risk in the upgrade of Win10, because they allow you to believe that you can always return to your BONES and the original installation program within 30 days, the ugly fact of the matter is that the Win10 GoBack feature turned out to be unreliable - and when she fails, she can let machines in a State corrupted - that does not always happen , but it happens often enough to be a problem and you will get no warning beforehand that he goes to the trash your PC!

If this is not enough, the Win10 upgrade is known, in some cases, corrupt partition recovery stored by the OEM that built the original machine. It's pretty much guarantee that no HP recovery will work: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Video-Display-and-Touch/HP-Recovery-Manager-Blocked-After-Windows-10-Upgrade/td-p/5170752

What you would really need to do, is to erase the entire disk and restore your PC using something known as HP recovery media.

HP recovery media is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs. You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update". If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entry and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!

If you have difficulties to find a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836

If HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

Problem has continued to repeat itself.  Recovery system, but that has not worked. No errors in the diagnosis of the system. When I turn on now, I get the hp logo and an error message with a banner of the Windows Installer.  The message reads ' the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered and unexpected error.»  Windows Setup cannot continue. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.  When I click 'OK', the computer restarts and performs a loop to the error message.  Any suggestions?

I suggest you make a set of HP recovery disks or USB recovery media before deleting access recovery.

Deactiviating Recovery Manager is too easy.

    Remove the recovery partition.

Are you sure you want to do this? Activation, it is much more difficult.

I hope that you advise your friend aware of the consequences of the removal of the partition.

Why not run a live version of Linux Mint from a USB key instead?

    Best regards

  • No Bluetooth on HP ENVY TouchSmart 17 t-j100 Quad Edition CTO Notebook running Windows 7

I have a HP ENVY TouchSmart 17 t-j100 Quad Edition CTO Notebook than our district school intalled window 7 and I am unable to find the drivers so I can get the bluetooth market. All solutions?

    Hey, Chris:

On models that come with the Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter, which is not a card without wireless/bluetooth combination, this is why you can't get all bluetooth devices to connect.

If you need to have bluetooth, you can:

    1. replace the wireless card internal with one of the cards without wireless/bluetooth combination described in Chapter 3 of the maintenance manual.  R & R procedures are provided in Chapter 5.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04091762.PDF

    2. buy an external bluetooth USB adapter.

  • EliteBook 8570p: ProtectTools Device Access Manager blocks the upgrade of Windows 10

    Hello

    I can't upgrade Windows 7 Pro for Windows 10.

(Manual and automatic) installation fails because of the incompatibility of ProtectTools Security Manager (according to Microsoft). This is also described in a document that I found on the HP Web site: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=5212912 & docId = docLocale & emr_na-c04734799... .

Before I can uninstall ProtectTools, I need to uninstall other HP, like Device Access Manager tools...

And this is my problem: how to uninstall Device Access manager? It is not listed under "programs and features". I tried to uninstall tools like CCleaner and Revo Unistaller, but they can't find it or the other.

I installed the latest version of ProtectTools, via the SoftPaq Download Manager and disabled all functions of the ProtectTools, as far as I can tell.

How do I remove subsequently ProtectTools?

    Best regards

    Wim.

I found a way to remove it on this Web site: http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/Device-Access-Manager-for-HP-ProtectTools-9553-program.aspx

    Run: MsiExec.exe /X {55B52830-024A-443E-AF61-61E1E71AFA1B}

    It fixed for me.

  • HP ENVY 700-210xt: how to reinstall after upgrade windows 10

I bought a HP ENVY 700 - 210xt delivered with Windows 8.1 and included a recovery for the same partition.  At one point last year, I used the free update of Microsoft to take the system up to 10 Windows.  As far as I know, it has no effect on the recovery partition.  Now, I met a hard drive problem, where the system will not start or recover.  My hypothesis is that I need to reinstall from scratch, but I have some problems.

    • If I order the HP recovery discs, they will be for Windows 8.1, but not my upgrade to Windows 10 invalidated the original license key?
    • If I get somehow 8.1 Windows reinstalled with the original key, can I still the free update me for Windows 10 of Microsoft?  I guess that their records show that I've already updated.
    • If I can't get this path to work, is there a direct way to return to Windows 10?  As part of the upgrade, I've never seen a new license key, but maybe it was and I never saw him.

    Thanks for any help!

You need a support SSD (like this) so he can climb properly.  I also was called to tie an SSD in the case from time to time... since it has no moving parts and is not fragile like hard drives disk.
