* When I press "Switch between windows" it will show only an icon not an overview of the window

Messages are stored as eml files.  Is there no eml files, then there is no message.  Check in the windows.old directory if there is one, because it may contain old data.  The location of the message in Vista store is c:\users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows mail, so you might check there.

Original title: what else could I be missing out on in Vista Home premium?
Before sorry all if this is the wrong section of my question.

I had family vista premium since 2007 and only discovered yesterday that windows calendar has been added.  I find this very useful indeed.  This got me wondering what other applications are included.  Could some point me to where and how can I know?

  • I think XP has better functionality and usefulness than Windows Vista. Is this good?

    is vista fail?

Overall, Windows XP has been easier to work with, understand and had everything necessary to be functional.  This makes Vista seems like a front more than anything, since it is less useful than XP.

  • Two questions: Windows Vista and XP on HP a6130n

A6130n HP from my father (AMD Athlon 64 X 2 dual processor running Windows Vista) had a hard drive crash. I replaced the HD and tried to recover using the recovery discs, he has created. He was suspended during the recovery process of system usually at about 3%. I have clean records and restarted several times without success. I was able to load Windows XP using my Windows XP disk, but many drivers do not seem to work (sound, network, etc.).

Windows Vista is my next step to order the HP restore disc, or are there other options?

Windows XP: My father has renounced this PC and gave it to me. I think I would have preferred XP. There is no drivers listed for this model for XP. Are there options with this route? Should what drivers I download?

Thank you very much for your advice. Dave.

  • How can I recover my deleted windows vista was installed on my laptop?

    Hello world

I have a LENOVO 3000 v200 laptop. When I bought this, Windows vista had been installed on it. Accidentally, I formatted my hard drive. because I have no CD Win I loos my operating system. But I deleted my windows certification label (the certification is glued to the butoom of my pc) and so I have the product key. Can I get or download my microsoft windows? If so, exactly where?

You will need to contact Lenovo http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=YAST-3P2QYL to request a set of recovery disks.  You can also have a recovery Partition that will also do the trick - Lenovo to ask how to access if you do, and if it is possible to make your own recovery disks and how to do in the circumstances.  This is recovery Lenovo process - no Microsofts so that they are those who you must contact and obtain the required information and records.  With these discs and your product key, you will be able to restore the computer to the original factory conditions.

I'm sorry, that we cannot help you more.  Here is Microsoft's policy on replacement software:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246/en-us.  There is no free download of Vista and Microsoft provide copies (if they even copies of Vista more).  You have to deal with Lenovo to this situation.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Lost all the games that come with windows Vista.

Original title: IE windows games: hearts, spider and others

I lost all the games that came with windows vista and would like to know how to get them back is to say: hearts, spider, scanning of the spirit and others

    Hi JosephAdams,

Did you the latest changes on the system?

I suggest that you turn off the games feature in windows vista and re activate and check if it works.

    a. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click programs and then click turn on turn Windows features on or off. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    b. to turn a Windows feature, select the check box next to the set. To turn a Windows feature off, clear the check box.

    c. click OK.

First you can disable the function of games using the method above restart the computer and turn on the games feature and check if it works.

For more information, you can consult the following articles and see if it helps.

    Where are my games?

    Hope this information is useful.

I am trying to download a free software an official link from Microsoft, it is called Visual Web Developer 2010 Express. I had a failure of extraction. I thought the problem was that I did not have a Service Pack 2 update, but I actually got it, so I do not understand what is lacking. I have a Windows Vista Home Premium edition installed on my PC. • Had to reload Windows vista 64 bit and now my office think that it's a laptop? How can I fix it?

I had to reload windows after blue screen of death would not go away and now my desktop PC thinks it of a laptop and tablet pc installed programs. I use this as a media pc and run only the moviw and music on this subject. Need to get the old system, because it now seems slower for some reason any.

Why and how your computer gives you the impression it's a laptop?

Take a look at the toolbars when you right click on an empty part of the taskbar.  Uncheck the box about the Tablet PC.

Tablet PC also gets a mention in programs and features / turn Windows features on or off.

  • Can I use the Windows Vista I had with my Toshiba laptop on virtual machine?

    Hey all

I have changed Microsoft for Macintosh, but installed on a virtual machine (oracle vm virtual machine) my Windows Vista I got with my Toshiba Satellite A350D Notebook previous. I installed Vista with the recovery disk. Now he asks me the Windows Vista product key. The sticker on the back of my laptop is more readable. I run the Belarc Advisor to get the product key in this way. But right now, he said: "it's the product key installed at the factory by the manufacturer rather than yours. You can change this to your product key here for Windows http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=45668"

My question: am I not allowed to use windows vista legally, I had with my computer toshiba laptop on other devices? I won't use the Thoshiba laptop. Do I have to delete the record from the Thoshiba laptop? Where can I get a new product key?

Maybe someone can help me here. Thank you in advance for taking your time to read this.

    Betty

Recovery disk or recovery image is designed for some cell phone only and is not a kind of universal image that can be used on other devices. It comes with the laptop.

You can use the Microsoft Windows disk with valid license on each device. Recovery image is not only BONES. This is the package that contains the drivers and tools specific to Toshiba and utilities.
As you also know recovery image when you install it on your laptop must be turned on not so the license code downstairs just proves you have purchased a valid license with your laptop.
    > Should I remove the record of the Toshiba laptop?
    Not why do this?
    > Where can I get a new product key?
You cannot get it because you need when you use the recovery image on your Satellite A300D. I think even you will hear of Toshiba.
