• HP Mini 1140NR Vivienne Tam: available alternative or upgrade to Windows XP from stock

  Having obtained his computer BIOS password unlocked, she asked me if there was an alternative/upgrade to Windows XP that would go on the unit (HP Mini 1140NR Vivienne Tam Edition). Correctly, she heard that XP is no longer supported.

  I read your post about an alternative to XP and wanted to help.

  I'm not surprised Ubuntu 16.04 has problems on your PC - I've been running various Linux distributions for more than ten years, on a variety of desktop and laptop computers, and it has problems on my machines, as well.

  My best guess is that no new Linux distribution will work on a computer laptop xp - era.  I have such a laptop and the latest version of Ubuntu that worked well was 8.04 - April 2008.  After that, they made changes to the kernel, and then later, changes in xorg, such that no new distributions would work well.  Finished restore XP and then later, the upgrade to Vista, then to Win7 - which worked very well!

  Win10 is almost certainly NOT going to work, because it requires CPU features that were not widely available when the XP machines are out.  I tried it on two of my computers laptops xp - era and it would be not installed on one of them - but in all honesty, I also tried Win8 on both, and while that installed, it does not work well.

  My suggestion for an alternative is Win7.  Even if Ms changed templates driver in Win7, they kept intact existing compatibility - that is why my computer laptop xp - era worked very well, even if it used xp video drivers, video drivers to no Win7.

  Oh and once you get Win7 installed, download and install this to prevent MS to force an upgrade Win10 on you: RCMP | Never10

• Connector hard drive problem...

  I have a HP mini 210 (vivienne Tam version) and recently he began to fade just for no reason.  Discovered by experimentation that whenever you press the connector on the hard drive (inadvertently or not), the netbook goes off instantly and requires a reboot hard to go again...  Anyone has any experience with this and you simply think to replace the hard drive connector would solve the problem?

  So, unless the pressure is applied to the computer area where the hard drive it works fine? If this is the case I certainly agree with you that it can be a connector problem.

  However, the first thing we want to do is to ensure that there isn't a larger problem of material with the hard drive. These instructions will show you how to run this test. If the hard disk goes, I would continue troubleshooting the connector.

  After checking that the hard drive is in good condition I would make sure that the connector is perfectly connected to the hard drive. Here is the service manual for your laptop, this should prove useful explaining how to disassemble the laptop to access the hard drive.

  Finally, if none of these help the next step will be to replace the connector. You can find more information about ordering specific parts of HP parts Surfer.

  I need help. I have a HP Mini 1140NR Vivienne Tam edition (NB134UA), which is unfortunately more under warranty. Recently, my hard drive has begun to fail. The original hard drive is a 60 GB Toshiba MK6028GAL 1.8 "4200 RPM PATA drive with a ZIF connector. I bought a new hard drive on eBay very similar: a 120 GB MK1231GAL Toshiba 1.8 "4200 RPM PATA drive with a ZIF connector. For some reason, the drive is not recognized by the netbook. I know it's getting common because I can hear it turn up when I turn it on. But when I try to enter the BIOS, it tries to read the disc (it is said that a primary IDE drive is detected), but ultimately fails to recognize the drive. According to the manual (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01631228.pdf), this model "supports every 4.57 cm (1.8 inch) parallel ATA (PATA) hard drives. I then updated the BIOS version e.16 F as he supposedly "solves a problem where the system can not be able to complete the hard drive diagnostic test (HDD) in the configuration utility in the BIOS for a Toshiba hard drive". This did not help the issue all.

  My question is this: If this netbook isn't compatible readers of this ability, or did I just get a dud of a hard drive? I would need to know pretty quickly since I only have a limited window to return the player to the seller.

  Unfortunately, Toshiba MK1231GAL cannot work in MBA. See the response from Toshiba:

  The MK1231GAH has a 4 KB (physical) block size - not to be confused with the size of the logical block, which can be selected when formatting a HARD drive.
  The MK1231GAH block size is 4 KB and physics, and it is immutable defined on the set.
  This makes the incompatible HDD for use in an application for laptop or PC/Mac/Linux. It is for use in the applications of (THIS) big electronic public only.

• Animate in 3D space

  Okay, so I created a butterfly in Illustrator and then animate the wings in After Effects.

  Now, I want to animate the butterfly animated in 3D space. I want the butterfly from the distance and flight closer to the screen. Having looked at several tutorials on the web, I see very well where I'm wrong.

  That's what I tried:

  I created a new layout and added 3D Butterfly composition to the timeline, changed to mode 2 and the visualization of the right can do a 3D layer and instantly the image disappears and all that I can see is the Z, Y, axis of the X. I have try to reconnect the x, y, z-axis to push away from the camera , but the front view that it pushes everything just completely off the screen.

  Views of custom, forward, backward, up, left, right and custom view 1-3 are intended only as views useful to help implement you a 3D space you. You cannot restore to these points of view.   If you had FCP7, you have Quicktime 7 Pro (upgraded automatically at installation FCP7). Check your Applications > Utilities folder.

  Open the gif in QT7 and export as... (Sequence Quicktime Movie > Open Options)... might as well go with ProRes LT and make sure that you pay attention to the size option (select current if the original is 100%).

  Does anyone else know a different animation in the Yosemite Sierra? Switching between desktop computers, the files animate as well and will be geek sometimes. Just curious, if it is a bug. I also have problems with the desktop image not resizing not between my Apple screen and the laptop, but one thing at a time. Thank you!

  I use an iPhone 7, coming of the 6 s. I noticed that when an application is closed, there is a stutter that occurs about 80% of the time when you return to the home screen.   Hello useful community! A two-part question.

  I'm just getting started on the video production and have some needs in mind. I hope you can let me know if FCPX can do that hopefully, if there is an obvious solution, I am missing, or some of you approach use.

  I'll be doing a few videos of interview style and will have several camera angles, with that I need to work. So if I understand correctly to work with iMovie, I'll have a main video timeline and then 'cut' in and out secondary structures for the other angles. But I must have a logo sitting in the corner as well. Is there still enough chronologies to cut in different camera angles while having a timeline showing the stationary chart? iMovie does not you have only your primary and another calendar cut in and out, but I hope that FCPX has the ability to overlay 2 more than at a time? Or maybe I'm going about this the wrong way need?

  The second part is linked, I want to be the logo/text animation because it is (as a brief introduction). Not throughout the entire video or something extremely complex, but to animate shapes and text sliding in such that the name of the speaker, the name of show graphics, etc... And I'm hoping to create my own custom animations, not the familiar "motions of text" located in iMovie. I feel like the examples I found online that all look like they have animations the same model and I hope for much more creative in this area occasionally, if that makes sense. In its most simple example I guess, the design and animation capabilities/techniques you can do in Keynote for graphics/text that can be market timed, fades, slides, etc.

  Is FCPX the right program to incorporate more complex forms of text animations as well? Or is it the work of another software?

  Yes, you can make custom animations. For more complex animations, you use Motion.

  Just took my 7 32 GB iPhone... Noticed a lagg when opening and closing an application for the first time.

  Already talked to Apple support, they suggested to restore to the factory with IOS 10.0.1 and does not restore any backups.

  I have a similar but slightly different problem on my iPhone 7. Every time I close an app, the animation lags badly and it's annoying. All other animations, including the opening animation app, are very good. I have initially restored from a backup, but I tried to restore normal settings, and it made no difference. My iPhone 5 has no problem of lag during the opening and closing of 10 iOS apps.
