  My current mission is with some legacy equipment and versions.

  When I add an esx host to vCenter (see versions above) - I don't get any options to add the 'module' of license to vCenter. The 3.0.2 host works well with a license from the local host and Add-ons vcenter. Version 2.5.0 host has a configured host license. I figured I could use a license for the host of the server and add vMotion, HA, DRS & as Add-ons of vCenter. Selecting the host 2.5 licenses tab is not activate 'configuration of the host' link or it lists license config below.

  Also, if I should not just use vCenter 2.0.2 for esx 2.5.x guests... please chime in with the grounds.

  Can the server vCenter 2.0.2 licenses treat the add-on (vMotion, HA, DRS) licenses for a range of esx 2.5.x with a local host (Server/SMP) license (s) OR even just centralized? It does for 3.0.2 without effort.

• "VMware ESX Server has no persistent storage."

  I installed VMware ESXi 3.5 installable on a server with an Adaptec RAID 3405 controller. The build number of ESXi is 123629. I've got 4 1 TB drives configured in a RAID 5 array for a total to 2.73. When I install VMware, he sees the RAID array with the right size and installs successfully. I've never met this before. How to access the full capacity? I thought maybe it was because I was still on the trial but license using the serial number of the license made no difference.   After the implementation of our projects, we noticed that Essbase only use 1/8 CPU!
  For example, we have 3 possibilities of planning and when we run business on these 3 usability rules, Essbase divide duties using always 13% CPU (1/8)...
  We downloaded edelivery.oracle.com zip files, being prudent choising while the 64-bit version.
  
  Have you ever met this problem? You have an idea what file I need to change so that Essbase use more than 1 CPU and parralelize more its calculations?

  FWIW, I'll reiterate - calc in a parallel planning application - think the number of CPUS you're hopefully to help. Which multiplies by the number of simultaneous sessions in budgeting. And this number by the number of applications. Make sure you have a larger number of processors. In the real world, everything will become bound disk (as if it wasn't 99% of the time anyway) even with the single threaded Calc.

  This weekend, I applied the updates on a server ESXi 3.5 Update 3.  The update process indicates that a restart is required, so I stopped all the guests and then restarted the server ESXi Infrastructure customer.  To reconnect to the server, it has more a defined data store.  The 3i command prompt, I see yet that/dev/discs / vmhba1:0:0:3 the size of my previous data store.  Someone there can help me with what has happened in my store data and, more important still it, can I get it back?

  Our intention is to buy VMware vCenter Server 4 Foundation for vSphere addition VI ESX 3.5 Server running on a separate server. Our concern is;

  1. is VMware vCenter Server 4 Foundation for backward compatible product vSphere with VMware ESX Server 3.5?

  2 If no, then is it a similar product of VMware, which is compatible with VMware ESX Server 3.5?

  VMware vCenter Server Foundation 4.0 can handle up to 3 vSphere or legacy hosts.  If you need to manage more than 3 guests, you should definitely consider vCenter Server Standard edition.
