  I'm trying to understand how to configure a dedicated server of Dell R210 rented running VMware ESXi 5.1.0 build-799733

  This dedicated server is rented www.online.net and sits somewhere in France. One of its network adapters have an IP public 62.210.177.20x. The other NIC is here, but I do not understand how it is configured. According to the www.online.net portal, the other NETWORK card has or should have an IP 10.90.116.20x. I managed to make it appear the other interface but I cannot find anywhere how to assign the IP address 10.90.116.20x to this 2^nd network adapter. But then again I don't even know if I should or if I need to assing a IP address to this 2^nd network adapter. What is the cable connected even for this 2^nd NIC? I do not know. Should it be - I'm not either. I don't know French and manuals/instructions on www.online.net are in French. I can try an online translator, but I don't think that what I'm looking for is explained. How do I get this set up? I have to do something about the ESXi on the server console? This interface 2^nd should be in place, or it must be down as if it was originally? Yesterday after watching someone videos on YouTube, I added the second virtual switch and moved the virtual hosts of this switch 2 and he entrusted the 2^nd NIC.   In Windows 7, you have to go to preferences - Flash Builder - File Associations, etc. There is no file Associations in the Windows 8 version: (see image)

  Adobe made a web page that indicates that you must use Windows Explorer to associate FlashBuilder.exe .as files, but it does not work: http://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Builder/KB/unable-set-default-file-associations.html

  FlashBuilder.exe does not support opening a file .as like that. Flash Builder attempts to launch a new process and requires a different workspace to be able to open a Windows file. So either Adobe should add support for binding to the Windows 8 file in Flash Builder, or it must be a setting that prevents the Flash Builder to open a second instance of process.

  

  I found a solution. I used a Windows 7 machine that is the file association appropriate and observed the key of Windows registry using regedit.exe. I exported the key and made a .reg file and copied on my machine Windows 8. After installing registry keys, the associated file did not immediately because Windows 8 has this key to the user choice that always associates the file .as with Flash Professional. So after installing the underside of the keys, then I used Windows Explorer to associate files with Flash Builder .as and my file associations work as expected. It is an Adobe specific integration problem that must be fixed on the end of Adobe to support file associations in Windows 8.

• Core upgraded to 4.0 on Centos 7 VMWare Workstation 11 won't build the virtual network device

  As shown in the topic, I have manually compiled kernel 4.0 for my installation of CentOS 7. After the installation of the kernel (in rpm mode, followed the instructions here: How to compile a Kernel - The Way CentOS ) installed all 3 rpm, kernel, kernel-headers and kernel-devel and then tried to start my installation of workstation with it leads to having to re - build the components (as usual)

  It does not, when it came to the compilation of the network management module. See attached log file that it generated.

  I also tried to uninstall, downloaded VMware-Workstation-Full - 11.1.0 - 2496824.x86_64.bundle and re-installed with the same result.

  Any help would be appreciated!

  After updating my system Windows 8 Pro 8.1 two VMware (VMnet1 and VMnet8) network adapters are listed as 'Unidentified network, Public network' ' type of access: no access to Internet. I uninstalled VMware Player, reinstalled, and done a repair without change installation.  The result is when I run one of my Windows VMs they cannot connect to my network or host computer.  For example, in a Windows 7 VM "Network and sharing Center" the active network is displayed in the Public network and it is not stressed so I can't change it to private and enable sharing.

  I have also noticed that several articles about 8.1 and this kind of problem you suggest use modern PC Interface settings to change the network card for this problem, but which lists only map host of the PC, not the VMware adapters network. It of as if 8.1 does not recognize or even allow control of VMware cards - at least not when using the network settings of the modern graphical user interface.

  DOH!  Why didn't think of this?

  I had previously uninstalled and then reinstalled the latest version of VMware Player and yet still had the network problem. What fixed it was to re-run the installer of the player and select Repair. Who sets the network problem. Why didn't the new installed work? I guess he needs a couple of installs to do things.
