• Desktop HP Envy 750-114: do I need a new monitor or graphics card?

  I have a HP Envy Office 750-114 and a HP. V242h color monitor, etc. on the monitor are flat, dull and almost gray. It has been like that since we have the computer about a year ago. I've tweaked the contrast, etc., on the screen and it's a little better, but still not very good.

  So, is it a new graphics card for the computer, or a new monitor? I'm afraid that if I buy a new monitor, it'll be the same, dull and flat.

  If a new graphics card is required, which would be a good thing, and I need a new power supply?

  I did experiment a bit and partially answered my own question. I removed the monitor in question (HP V242h) and hooked it to another computer. What a world of difference! So I don't think it's the monitor, but the graphics card.

  If a modified question: what would be a good graphics card for my HP Envy Office 750-114? One that enhances the display and provides the best game? Also, would need a new power supply?

  You can buy the same battery that you already ;)

  If you remove the battery, you can find the model number on it and other information on battery. So simply enter this number on Google and you will find online shops where you can buy it.

  Alternative contact your local ASP and ask for a new battery. Guys will order a new.

  As far as I know the graphic card cannot be exchanged. It s soldered onto the motherboard and so you need a new mainboard.
  Are you sure it's a graphics card problem? You have the same problem on an external monitor? Check it!

  Maybe the laptop gets to hot, so try to clean with a jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust.

  I found only a display for a Satellite L25 Pro but I guess that the two devices are very similar and use the same part of the screen.
  The display part number is K000000620 and it s a 15 XGA 1024 x 768 display.

  But be aware that the display is one of the most expensive parts of laptop.

  My mouse wireless guard saying "lost connection".  It takes time for it to reconnect.  Wireless keyboard is OK.  Apple store said that it may need a new Bluetooth "card."  Any idea the cost if necessary.   I tried a new mouse, with the same results.  Having to use a "wired" mouse now taking a much-needed port on my iMac.

  I return to the store and get a better answer. Material, of course, could be the problem. As far as I know, there is no such 'map '.

  Reset the PRAM and SMC... can't hurt, might help.

  You MUST use the same version and edition of the disc (IE. (Home, Pro, MCE, touch and OEM, sale retail or volume).

  Since you have an OEM machine, you need a copy of the OEM software for this particular model and o/s. Perhaps you have a friend who has the same thing? Otherwise, you must contact the manufacturer of the computer.

  It is possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

  1. Get a known good and already fully charge battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
  2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

  The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

  No, you don't need a new product key, you can use the same product key to install and activate the 64-bit version.

  64-bit Windows 8 comes in handy when you need to deal with at least 4 GB of RAM or more. 8 32-bit Windows can use up to 3.2 GB of RAM.   I upgraded my Mac with an SSD, which works very well, with more RAM; However, recently, it has been very slow and train, and I don't know why. RAM is not being crazy, so it must be something else.

  Hello. Try restarting your Mac.

  Try to start:

  -Stop your Mac

  -Wait until your computer turns off and after that press the power button

  -Just after you hear the startup tone, press in and hold the SHIFT key

  -Release the SHIFT key when you see a gray Apple sign and the progress under this sign bar

  -Once your Mac boot, restart dhcpd as you usually do.

  If this does not help, follow the instructions below:

  -Stop your Mac

  -Wait until your computer turns off and after that press the power button

  -Just after you hear the startup tone, press in and hold the SHIFT key

  -Release the SHIFT key when you see a gray Apple sign and the progress under this sign bar

  -Once you see office, start a scan Disk Utility to detect and repair file system errors (remember to choose your primary hard drive)

  -After that click on verify disk permissions, and then click Repair disk permissions

  -Once the process is complete, stop your Mac and turn it on again after 30 seconds
