• A volume license upgrade Windows 8 to 8.1 requires a purchase of a new license?

  If I have a Windows 8 on my machine that fails to get at the store level because it's a volume license copy, my organization will pay for a new license of Windows upgrade me Windows 8.1? I found information online to download a copy from the volume license server. However, I am not an administrator at my company, just a frustrated user of unupgradable Windows 8, so I don't really know what it means. If we spend only one book, I can be sure my company won't pay for it (or purchase will not go through the pipeline before Windows 10 lot).

  I just figured this out...

  I called the 1-866-230-0560 Option 3 Volume licenses and talked to someone who searched under the name of the school in order to locate licenses. It is even searched under our zip code and found other licenses that have been purchased by the school where the dealer abbreviated the name of the school.

  I hope that this is useful information to others in the same situation.

  To take advantage of volume license, you must purchase a volume license agreement that gives you the right to install Windwos 7 Professional or Enterprise according to the terms agreed between you and Microsoft. You can not simply convert the existing volume license licenses because you have the eligible license. Volume License Windows is an upgrade and requires that the machine is an appropriate license before you can use it. There are more than just the software volume license since you go to an agreement.

  After you create an installer of LabVIEW 2014 at 3.1 VLM volume license, I ran into a strange behavior in the installer:

  I'm building a Volume of NI Developer Suite 2016 DS1 License Installer.  I created the master suite and the installer from the DVD device drivers successfully.

  However, when I try to create tools Xilinx DVD separated issued with the Game Developer on I get the error "an unexpected error occurred during the generation of the Volume License Installer '.

  Nobody knows what is this 'unexpected error' and how to work around.

  Just worked it out.  The DVD contains 2 sets of tools; 14.7 & 2014.4.  You must come down with each of them separately, you can't just select the top-level of the DVD folder as you do with all the other discs in the package.  Would be useful if the error to a little more explicit.

• volume license 20-digit versus 25 characters product key activation

  A week or two ago I was given an HP computer XP Professional sp3.

  The operating system and the computer are older than 5 years

  I want to restore the operating system to its "factory condition".

  I DO NOT have the installation disk so I created a professional to xp bootable installation disk using the files on my hard drive.

  The disk has been created; and to test it, I used another computer with a newly formatted hard drive.

  I take 25 characters of the label on my HP computer case and was rejected.
