volume of speech

I have asked this before, but I'm in a hurry.

I run to resume several voices audio clips from the first to pass a hearing and applicable level volume Word for them the most effective way, i.e. without having to go through each element separately. .

I can't see how apply the effect when in the muitiple... There is no button 'apply '.

I thank.

First allows you to send one or more clips to the hearing, or create a mirror of the chronology of the sequence for audio production at the hearing.  Sending of CLIPS does a made - replace first, so that you don't overwrite your original files and rebuilt the first clip in the new file that is published at the hearing.  For what you are trying to do, I think it's the right approach.

Select all the CLIPS in your scenario that you want to correct volume, or select the raw audio files in your project Panel they are there.  Choose Edition > edit in Adobe Audition > Clip

The clip opens in the hearing.  From there, you can drag files into the Match Loudness Control Panel, select your preferred loudness equalization method and apply.  Select Save all and return to the first.  You should see all the waveforms clip adjust as first updates to the changes in the files.

You can also use edit the Original if the hearing is your default application for the selected audio file format.  It won't make a made - replace in most of the cases, so it may be preferable for the clips, you already changed that you want to make additional changes.

  • Workflow for the level of volume reduction and speech

I'm working on the audio for my feature film of 2 hours. I don't have the option for ADR and I have many problems with the hum of the air conditioning and other noises, so I need to put in place the best workflow. I get conflicting information when I search the workflow. What is the best method of workflow. Should I first correct the volume of speech levels, volume and then match noise reduction and its carrier or vice versa. Also, when should I apply a multiband equalizer to remove 60 hz buzz and cut the upper and lower frequencies.

I use this blog as a guideline, but still a little uncertain. Improve the Production of Film Post workflow. BlogBlog VashiVisuals

Very new to audio editing, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It is not an answer quite right, but I'll tell you what I think about it, at least. You should ask yourself at least one big question before starting, and then perhaps things might become a bit clearer! And it is really good to have a plan.

The big question is this you're going to deal with everything that's been saved, or just taken you use? If you do the first, it will increase your workload a little, if it's like most of the shoots. Personally, I don't want to reduce the amount of treatment, so I'd be more inclined to limit what needs treatment, if possible.

Then I would go to reduce the noise basis first and also use the filter to reduce or eliminate hope that the buzz of 60 Hz. If the a/c noise is constant, this should only unravel. Do not touch the LF or HF cut again - this is an EQ option, not a clean one. I'd do the NR in addition to a passage, using different parameters of the FFT and not taking too much out in a go - we found that it always works better. When you are finished, other sounds that you want to delete will be more obvious and therefore easier for the sound mover identify if you need to go this route. When, and only when you have done this, you need to adjust the levels, and when you've done that you can change the EQ so that it can seem like you want. Roll-off Yes the PMQS by all means, but be careful with the HF - you will need may not go very far with that at all.

In general, the reason to go to the NR, and is first of all that it does what it is much easier to deal with - simply because that remains will be clearer.

Have you already checked the Realtek HD audio Manager located in the control panel?
There are various tabs like speakers or Microphone.

I recommend the microphone tab where you can find different parameters such as the recording level and reading level.

You can also activate the remove noise that is also part of the mic

    1.

The sound is not good (rate of rich and tight (the circumstances), but this isn't completely ecco and sound box)

I always find myself with a few abrupt words - ending in silence.

    4. speech volume leveler

Increase the volume using speech - medium volume leveler

    5. using silence, auto heal etc.

I use the silence between the words/phrases, I use the lower level right after a word that turn into silence.

I use auto heal, I cut if necessary, adjust decibels on words or phrases if the sound level is unbalanced.

Can someone give me instructions on more effects to use?

    What is a good workflow?

    I will use the reverb?

I'm happy to send a sample if it is useful?

    Thank you for reading this.

And I am very grateful for the responses.

Well, I listened to the samples. As I suspected, the untreated is more useful as the basic registration is concerned. You speak quietly enough, and I hear a lot of noise. I suppose a lot of it is noise preamp, and that initially, you must do two things. You must be not more than 200mm (8 '') from the microphone and speaking a little above and not directly to it. In addition, do it slightly higher or lower than your level of the mouth. This reduces the chances of the noise of 'breath' of your breath. And if the noise level with regard to the level of the signal is anything to go by, you need to increase the gain of the preamp for a bit (the "input" button on the preamp). That way you will end up by with a more "intimate" sound and less noise preamp. You will find yourself also with its less "room", and I don't think that is at the present time, help you a lot.

The noise is less here, it is easy to treat. The most important thing to remember is that you should not try to get rid of all this - that sounds just unnatural and people are pretty put off by that - they like to listen to real people human. And it also means leaving the natural breath noise, even if you don't want them at a high level. This means that the noise reduction is concerned, is that you have to listen carefully to the results and expect to be move the sliders. Also you should not try to make any reduction at once; you will get much better results by removing only a little noise to one pass and then change the size of the FFT (personally I always get better with much larger settings) and then do another passage, also without taking much away. This at least three times and you will end up with much less noise, and there's not all this "pumping" between words. But as I said, don't remove it completely. You should aim for a noise about, let's say - 55dB when the peak level is closer to - 3dB or which sounds so - fine.

Regarding monitoring, headphones are very well, and you have to wear them while you record, especially when configuring. By experimenting directly, you should easily be able to find a place where you don't cause problems for yourself and even more intimate sound. This is another advantage to be closer to a cardioid microphone (which is the perception) - you will have a slight sharpening of the bass to your voice closer you. There is a good reason for this, but I won't bore you with the details here. Don't have too high headphone level, or it could cross into the microphone and which will not help in the slightest.

As much as any other treatment is concerned, you can find while using only a limiter to stop the major summits of the signal is all you need - it certainly shouldn't be; carefully recorded speech shouldn't need a lot of treatment at all.

    Hope that helps a little...

  • A light blue box appeared suddenly in the middle of my display screen

Original title: Blue box blocking my view

Rectangle box light blue color (about 2 "X 5") suddenly appeared in the middle of my screen.  She has the volume of speech with a line of volume ranging from 0 to 100 and the word out at the bottom and a small top/arrow down and -/ +.  I tried to click on the exit, but the cursor goes behind that blue box.  I ran anti-virus and Spybot but nothing appears.  I can't get rid of this box. It interferes with everything I try to do.  Help!

Since it is not specifically with Windows, we strongly suggest that you contact the manufacturer of your monitor. They may be able to help more with the settings of your monitor with respect to the pop-up you get.

If you get any problems with the movement of your desktop icons, we suggest that you create a new message for her, since it is a different concern that we are trying to resolved on this thread. This is to help you best and avoid any confusion.

  • Would be a 3 GHz i3 be a good computer for hearing

Hi, I m trying to get a computer for a community radio station that will use auditioning CS6.  We have a bit of a budget, but not a massive one.  Thought get a 3 GHz i3 or higher (budget about £110).  We have an audio interface USB Tascam 4 x 4 that we'll run on it.  You want to be able to send the output to listen (on another computer).  We will save you 4 tracks and put a limiter on Volume of speech and, possibly, an EQ on 2 of the tracks and let the other 2 unfiltered.

The machine works well.  He'll give us a lot of leeway.  How well a PC it will be hearing CS6?

Curious to know if it's actually a little more dotted, if we spend less that we can also use it on a monitor?

    Ben

Instead of a lot of processor speed, you need a lot of memory and a second fast hard drive large enough for your audio files... Hearing works best when there are separate hard disks for operating system and storage.  What operating system do you intend to run on it?

  • How to reverse the auto levels to normal levels of registration?

    Hello!

What I mean is that I have taken record with Zoom H1 and auto levels switch was accidentally on. Makes sure the parts of the recording after a pause to start too hard and then when the signal is routed to the top, makes it too quiet. It is not pleasant.

Is there a way to equalize the recording? It's a speech and I know that this can be done using volume leveler speech, but I do not want to use it either. What interests me is that it is a way to capture a noise print or print desired audio level and then level the rest of the audio by reference to the volume of printing? In other words, reverse the effect levels automatic return to normal. Is this possible?

    Thank you!

I tried speech Volume Leveler, and the thing that I don't like in my particular case, it is that it amplifies the quieter signals up to the level of those stronger and that means stimulating noise. It would be nice to do the reverse, which is alleviate the stronger signals to match those quieter. Is this possible to do with the treatment of the dynamics? How to do?

Hearing what version do you use? There are advanced options on later versions that reduce the noise.

But what you are looking for the enemy in the treatment of the dynamics is the Expander. For example look for example the preset e. guitar Gate. It's a pretty extreme version of what you want to do, but gives you some idea where to start.

    Hello

You can try to adjust the volume to a higher level.

Go to control panel of control-> sound, speech and audio devices-> sounds and Audio devices

Now, go to the Audio tab (line from the top of the buttons) and in reading his article click the Volume button.
In the Volume Control Panel, click the Options menu button and choose Properties.

In the properties panel check all the boxes unchecked.
Now you should see all the volume controls which could be addressed at the next level.

    Hello!

I often use the voice recognition feature Win7 Ultimate.
However, since a few days, the computer does what I say more.

Now, the built-in microphone is very insensitive: I have to get as close as in 10-15cm from the microphone in order to get acceptable results. I don't know what has changed... never had problems before.

When I try to do speech recognition, training my computer just can't hear me (at least it seems that Yes)...

I don't know what to do...

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello

I think you should check the volume level of the microphone.
Go to control panel of-> sound-> recording tab

Here you can see the Microphone device.
Now, check it and click on the properties button
Now new window pops up and here you have to choose the 3nd tab
Here, you can increase the volume of the microphone.

  • How to decrease the output volume of the .wav file to a speaker attached to the output NI 9263 module

    Hello

I found an example of http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/4182 and edited for my purposes. On this basis, I have 16-bit mono speech files with sampling rate of 16 kHz for a speaker attached to the output NI 9263 module. However, this forum is without volume control and the result is extremely strong. I have attached photos of my diagrams below.

NDS read Wave File.vi returns a 1 d mono 16‑bit whole array. I multiplied this table by a command button, so I could adjust the constant which I multiply with the table 1 d as I thought that the size of integers are related to the amplitude of the signal. However, reducing the constant only reduces the quality of the word and is still very strong.

Is it the right approach to reduce the volume? And if not, what? Thanks in advance

The LX3000 is a USB microphone. If you are using a desktop computer, connect to a rear USB port.

Go to sound in the control panel. Click the recording tab. You should see a USB microphone in the list. See screenshot below. Highlight the USB microphone and set it as the default. Then click on properties and then the levels tab adjust the microphone level to 75%. Click on apply and then OK. Speak into the microphone, and you should see the green bars in the volume meter going up and down. This will mean that you're all set.
