  I can't install the driver for my device wireless on my laptop Dell Vostro 1500 running Windows XP Professional. The laptop came with Windows Vista Basic Edition. I tried to install the driver for Windows XP from the CD of original drivers that came with the laptop and also by downloading from the Dell Web site. The pilot program installs without giving an error, but after installation of the unit is still not functional and Device Manager shows no information on wireless hardware.

  Since I was my compaq laptop (about a year), it was windows 7 64 bit operating system inside, even if the manual was for windows 8. So, when I looked up initially for up-to-date drivers I couldn't find support for win8, but I chose not to because I saw tons of compatibility issues with this model of laptop. Well I'm not going to be updated soon, so I would like to know what are the latest drivers I can find for my model for win7 64-bit, and/or what model video card he joined, so I can find the appropriate drivers for it.

  Thank you for your inquiry.

  I see that you bought your laptop about 1 year ago.  It came with Windows 7 and an option to update to Windows 8.  You do not want to update to Windows 8 or 8.1 and want to keep Windows 7.

  Where have you bought your laptop?  It is highly unlikely that HP could ship a computer with an operating system not supported.  Maybe someone returned the computer laptop but has not reinstated the changes.

  I use a laptop computer with Windows 8.1.  I also have a HP Laserjet 1020 printer which is connected via USB to a PC HP with Windows 7.  I'm currently sharing files between the computer laptop and PC via wireless 'Collective dwelling', and I want to enable printing of the laptop.  Should I download the compatible driver Windows 8.1 (Win8.1) laptop or PC (Win 7) because the PC is connected directly to the HP Laserjet Printer?

  No, it was for the wifi button was not working for some after the update to windows 10 I guess.

  And you can open the Device Manager and check the updates here for the wireless card.

• Incompatible with the controller hard drive for Windows 10 update

  After 4 TEC, I was able to update Windows 10.  Now the report of compatibility for my computer says that my hard disk controller is not compatible with Windows 10.  I have Windows 7 and its been running pretty well with some minor problems.  When I go to search for drivers or windows updates, it seems to continue indefinitely and do nothing.  Not sure if that has anything to do with the controller, but I thought I would include this information.

  The latest technology suggested that I go to my local IT guy... funny, considering it's my computer at home.  What are my options?  Or someone has an idea how I could get the controller fixed my own?  Or should I consider 10 Windows a lost cause and wait until I get a new computer?  Thank you!

  Hello!  Thanks for the reply.  I've updated driver for the controller, and the next day was 10 Windows in my Windows Update.  I opened it to the top, and it worked!   Now have 10 Windows happily running on my computer.  Thanks for the information!

I could find a list of drivers installed using the HP Support Assistant's and the Broadcom WLAN Driver listed in your reference has already been installed, I'm guessing by Windows Update.   I hope this isn't a disaster in the making.  Recently, I've had this laptop and have tried to keep everything up-to-date.
  I noticed it says to install two updates - we did it, we failed.
  The update that failed is titled "Intel WLAN Driver for Windows 10".  I tried to install this update several times now without success.

  I agree with you, santhi_G. I checked the site Web of Toshiba Portege R200 drivers and there is no available drivers for Windows 7 or Vista same. Only XP and Windows 2000 is supported. :(

  I discovered that the Portege R200 Intel graphics so probably has that you can find a driver directly on the Intel Web site. It's worth a try ;)

  You can add the printer as follows: go to the folder, devices and printers, adding a printer, add a local printer, create a new Port, the Local Port, the \\XPcomputername\DJ5150sharename (use the sharing of correct XP computer and Deskjet 5150 share names), then Windows Update, and then select the HP Deskjet 5150.
