VRO - configures .sh documentation

I'm looking to deploy and configure vRO own 7 on request to part of a pipeline for the automated test to remove test.

It seems pretty easy to deploy with ovftool and for configuring it, I found vro - configures .sh seems to offer features to configure vRO Control Center, I could not find any documentation to learn how to use some of the options.

So far I have it add a certificate approved for vcenter.

./VRO-configure.sh confiance--/tmp/vcenter.darrylcauldwell.local.pem--sso-certificat.

Am looking now to add vCenter PSC for authentication, the authentication options are the coffee authentication, authentication incorporated and openldap authentication, my hypothesis is authentication-coffee is the tool that manages the external authentication that is not LDAP.

The aide./vro-configure.sh shows three mandatory parameters, if they specify the command runs without error, but authentication is not configured

Authentication-coffee-registry-url./VRO-configure.sh https://vCenter.darrylcauldwell.local/cm -sso-vco-admin-group administrateurs--sso-vco-admin-groupe-domaine vsphere.local

or

Authentication-coffee./VRO-configure.sh - registry-url vcenter.darrylcauldwell.local - sso-vco-admin-group administrateurs--sso-vco-admin-groupe-domaine vsphere.local

Is there a documentation or examples of syntax to use vro - configures .sh?

As far as I KNOW, there is no detailed documentation for vro - configures .sh

I could be wrong here but I think that command vro - configures .sh authentication-coffee is only for the configuration of the authentication of COFFEE when you use vRA and cannot be used to configure the SSO authentication in vSphere environment only, I have to ask my colleagues who have worked on this feature, but it seems currently you cannot configure authentication SSO in this way.

BTW, there is also a REST API to control center that allows you to configure the various parts of the vRO (including authentication) either through the user interface or using tools such as curl. Check https://{vrohost}:8283/vco-controlcenter/docs/

    Hello

I looked at some sites today on how to set up a vpn anyconnect for a basic 5506-x license.

So far, I have found this site

    https://networklessons.com/security/Cisco-ASA-AnyConnect-remote-access-VPN/

Inside, they ask for contributions, and I do not give sites randomly my number of credit card debt for obvious reasons. I just want to know what they block that I can't see. If I know that he trusted I could rethink give them money but for now I don't trust them.

If you know a guide like this next to the Cisco white paper, answer him in return.

    Hello

Anyconnect configuration is the same regardless of the license you have so that you can follow any documentation out there to set it up. I saw some videos on youtube on how to do it. ASDM has also an Anyconnect installation wizard it will take 2 minutes to do following the wizard I don't think that you must pay on a website for an example of configuration, cisco documentation is very detailed check it will explain the process of the ASDM Wizard:

  • You will need to identify what node in a cluster of vRO is the execution of a workflow of.

    Hi all

This is my first post for the communities in a very long time, so please, be gentle.  I do some work for a client automation, and one of the third-party applications that we integrate with password management requires that users of the API will be bound to a specific IP address.  In an instance of vRO single node is not a problem, but it is a HA configuration, and even if it's an active/passive failover workflows still needs to work if it breaks down.  About 50% of custom streams depends on asking a password to this third party system.  My password calls work fine of node 1 where I did all of the development, but I am now to tackle the issue of making the workflow nodes.

I have a way very cludgy to circumvent this problem, the use of SSH for 127.0.0.1 (which defeats the point of using a system of management of password in the first place), but I really hope there is a more elegant way to accomplish this task.  Maybe a vRO ownership that can be called?  Or an action that can return the hostname of current node?  If someone has seen, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Matt

    Hi Matt,

Unfortunately, there is no property or action (as I know).

What you can try is to retrieve the host name of vRO Configurator which allows access to the connected network interfaces. Here is a Javascript code snippet:

    for each (var bound_ip in Config.getNetworkInterfaces().getValidBindInterfaces()) {
      var hostname = System.resolveIpAddress(bound_ip);
if (hostname != bound_ip // if ip and hostname are equals, this means ip cannot be resolved
        && hostname != "localhost" // ipv4 localhost
        && bound_ip != "::"  // ipv6 default unicast
        && bound_ip != "::1" // ipv6 localhost
      ) {
// possible match; the 'hostname' variable contains the vRO node hostname
        System.log(bound_ip + "  -->  " + hostname);
      }
    }

Code lists all the valid binding interfaces and tries to resolve the host name of each IP interface uses heuristics to get rid of localhost addresses.

I have no HA environment to test this code, but in theory, it should work.

  • Can't access web page from the application of vRO with Firefox 39.0

I tried to access to https://IPAddress:8281 / vco / and all of a sudden I'm greeted with the following error:

An error occurred during a connection to ipaddress:8281. SSL has received a low ephemeral Diffie-Hellman key in the handshake message exchange the server key. (Error code: ssl_error_weak_server_ephemeral_dh_key)

I think that Firefox updated itself between now and the last time I tried to access the web page.

I checked the release notes for version 39 and I see this: remove support for SSLv3 unsecured for communications network

-What is the source of the problem? Does anyone else have this problem?

The problem is that SSLv3 and some suites of encryption used in vRO devices are now considered not secure and some applications for example. Firefox started blocking them.

Following are the result of encryption currently configured in vRO 6.x:

      TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA
      TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA
      TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA
      TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA
      TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA
      TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA

Those who have DH on their behalf (Diffie-Hellman) should be disabled (4 of 6). The easiest way is to remove from the list of encryption algorithms in the following files:

      /etc/vco/app-server/server.xml (vRO server)
      /etc/vco/configuration/server.xml (vRO configurator)

After removing the unsecured encryption, you may need to restart vRO. Now you should be able to connect to the vRO device using Firefox 39.

I would appreciate some advice from people who know what they are doing before you start poking around.

Let me know if you need more information

    See you soon!

    Hi eatVM,

    You solved this problem?

HTTP and REST of the vRO6.0 plugin added new more stringent audits.

VMware has just released the version of technical overview of the vRO REST plugin with an option to disable checking of the host.

So if you want to have BDE plugin works fine with vRA 6.2, you should spend the REST HTTP plugin.

You can download the plugin here.

Technical preview of REST plugin version

    Upgrade of the REST-HTTP 1.0.4.2229037 HTTP-REST 1.0.7 - 2563729 of vRO configuration web page.

Make sure the value false for the parameter 'hostVerification' during execution workflow "Configuration of the host of Serengeti."

Indulge yourself, hope everything goes well with you!

  • Problems with the 'Grid entity' configuration consistency

I have difficulty getting the configuration work "Entity grid" consistency. I'm on Oracle Version consistency 3.6.0.4 Build 19111. I carefully followed the instructions for the third scenario configuration consistency documented on the page "JPA on the grid" [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e16596/tlcgd003.htm#CHDGGGAJ] here. I will include excerpts from the records, but I think that I have been following the docs. I must be missing something that the docs report directly? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The problem I encounter is that when this 'Grid entity' coherence mode is used, the entities are not reading from the database when the application starts. The application behaves as if there is absolutely no data in the database, even if I know that I have lines in tables to backup my entities. In my test dummy application, I also have problems persistent entities. If I temporarily disable consistency commenting annotations {noformat}@Customizer{noformat} entity everything works perfectly (DataSet starting loads from the database as expected and new entities are correctly preserved). If I change to the "grid + hidden +" things configuration seems to work fine. But it's not ideal because we want the features of read/write of entityof the grid.

Here is my file of coherence-cache - config.xml (corresponds almost exactly to the documentation):

JPQL API criteria or both will result in coherence filters when using GridRead or GridEntity.
TopLink grid has no way of knowing if the data in the cache are sufficient to satisfy the query, for example based on the provided query TopLink grid would determine how between a user with no book and insufficient. Your application will need to determine that not enough has been stored in the cache or to perform an initial charge in bulk for a particular user to redirect the request to the database programmatically. Queries of grid can easily be redirected to the database by setting the IgnoreDefaultRedirector on the query using query.setHint (QueryHints.QUERY_REDIRECTOR, new IgnoreDefaultRedirector()); Read from the database of entities will be automatically pushed to the consistency.

  • Configuration of global currencies in Apps BI 7.9.6 for EBS 11.5.10 Source

    Hi all

After reviewing the section Configuration of common areas and Dimensions of the Oracle BI Applications document [Oracle Business Intelligence Applications Configuration Guide for Informatica PowerCenter users Version 7.9.6 E14216-01 | http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14223_01/bia.796/e14216.pdf] I have a question about article + 3.1.2 How currencies to configure global +.

    Background

OLTP Source: Oracle eBusiness Suite 11.5.10
    OBI Apps: Financial analytics 7.9.6

We have 49 currencies activated and several sets of books (sobs) each with a different functional currency and I am concerned about the limits of global currencies within the OBI Apps configuration. Documentation, it states that:
Global currencies. Oracle BI Applications provides three global currencies, which are the common currencies used by the Oracle Business Analytics Warehouse.
I am curious to know if the 3 currencies global standard can be extended by adding more custom settings in the settings of the Source system, for example $$ GLOBAL4_CURR_CODE, $$ GLOBAL5_CURR_CODE, etc. and corresponding Exchange settings $$ GLOBAL4_RATE_TYPE, etc.

The definition of Documentdocumentation, the Local and the Global currencies, the following configuration for global currencies makes no sense:
    $$GLOBAL1_CURR_CODE (for the document currency).

    $$GLOBAL2_CURR_CODE (for the local currency).

    $$GLOBAL3_CURR_CODE (for the global currency).
Without doubt, these must be the 3 standard Definitions of global currency. If so, I want to confirm that local currencies and Document get picked up automatically depending on your configuration of EBS?

Thanks for your time, all input greatly appreciated... and the points awarded properly :-)

    Have a great day.

    Kind regards
    Gary.

    Hello

3 global currency codes are different than the local, functional currency.
All transactions are entered into the warehouse and there is no limit to the number of currencies that can be worn in front but for reporting the end you want to convert all of these transactions in multiple currencies to the single currency... .lets say US$ and a monthly rate or GBP to a place rate etc...

So in summary document and the local currenclies come and there is no configuration required but translation to a global reporting currency and rates during which his converted is determined by what you provide in the CAD... the conversion is made by mplt_currency_conversion which is present in each fact mapping.

  • vRealize 7 - NSX Automation deployments fail due to problems of certificate with vRealize Orchestrator

    Hello community,

After you have installed the latest version of vRA, vRO, and NSX I run questions when you apply components that use components of the NSX. First of all: details of the version:

    -vRA: 7.0.0 (build 3292778)

    -vRO: 7.0.0.16989 (build 331003)

    -NSX: 6.2.1 (build 3300239)

vRO plugin versions are delivered with the vRO version listed above with the exception of the plugin NSX, which has been updated to the latest version (1.0.3 published on 17.12.15).

In the configured tenant vRO is configured as endpoint. I can check the data collection is running and working. I can see the plugin NSX for vRO runs the workflow 'create endpoint NSX' from time to time using the configured user of vRA VRO.

In the configured tenant vRO is thus configured as server default for ASD vRO. Connection test is successful. When you save the config I'm prompted to approve the vRO certificate, which I confirm. Note that the thumbprint specified matches the footprint of the vRO certificate that I get during the visit of the vRO system on https://vro:8281. I am able to navigate the vRO vRA designer workflows, therefore: connection seems established.

Within vRO the vRA COFFEE and plug-ins IAAS have been saved successfully. I am able to browse the inventory of plugin for both plugins.

To solve the problem, I created a new unified plan within the design section of vRA with the following configuration:

-Transport box: my area of transport configured NSX (checked: manual creation on this area using NSX works very well)

-Routed res pol. Bridge: my reference for the dash cluster to use Pol

-The only component dragged to canvas is a 'network and safety'-> 'On-Demand NAT Network' that uses a profile preset 1-to-many network as is "Parent network profile" without manual modification.

-Note that, although there is a plan very simple example to illustrate the problem, it happens with any model that I have set up if any component is confgured requiring the NSX plugin for vRO.

"Whenever I ask this plan, the request fails with the error message:" ","application [fa1e0689-0d06-4308-a914-e498c0d1fd99]: 404 not found "

Looking in vCenter, NSX and vRO I can check that nothing is really trigged when you ask for the action plan.

Consider the vRA /storage/log/vmware/vcac/catalina.log becomes very visible:

    com.vmware.vcac.iaas.vco.network.helper.VcoEndpointSelector.isEndpointAlive:88 -
vRealize Orchestrator endpoint with url [https://s00-vro.my.domain:8281/vco] is not alive.
Exception message:> [Host name 's00-vro.my.domain' does not match the certificate subject provided by the peer (CN=s00-vro.my.domain, OU=VMware, O=My Company, C=DE)]

    com.vmware.vcac.iaas.vco.network.helper.VcoEndpointSelector.getFirstAliveEndpointByPriority:200
    - vRealize Orchestrator endpoint [https://s00-vro.my.domain:8281/vco] with priority 1 is not alive. Skipping.

    org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.method.annotation.ExceptionHandlerExceptionResolv
er.logException:189 - Handler execution resulted in exception: Endpoint not found. There are no vRealize Orchestrator endpoints that are alive.

    com.vmware.vcac.platform.service.rest.resolver.ApplicationExceptionHandler.handleHttpStatusCodeException:673 - 404 Not Found
    org.springframework.web.client.HttpClientErrorException: 404 Not Found
    ...
    ...
    ...

Please note that I double checked the certificate. This is a self-signed certificate created using the 7.0 vRO new control panel, the one I get when you go to https://vro:8281. It is valid and the object (issed to CN) matches perfectly the hostname entered the ASD and endpoint configuration in the vRA. It is separable and time on all components of the server is in sync with the use NTP.

Now, I even re-generated certificate and re-registered and rebooted all the components, but while I can see that the certificate has been updated all components I always get the same question.

Never had this problem with the previous version of the NSX / vRA / vRO. I checked the documentation if nothing has changed here, but did not find what I'm doing wrong. Anythimg I'm missing here? Any bug?

OK, this seems to be the issue. So put atleast to previous day since version ofvRO (cannot check if it's true for charges vRO 7 installs as well but it is probably) vRO 'control center' will generate certificates based SHA1 vRA love not for actions that use the endpoint in the vRA vRO. ASD seems to work without these problems.

Sidenote: VRO upgraded installs will also come with SHA1 based CERT if they use a self-signed cert created by vRO. However: you would think that it is sufficient to recreate the cert using the control center. But it turns out it isn't, because it will generate a (new) based SHA1 cert.

What I did to solve the problem:

    1. create a vRO SSH2 based certificate without the cert extensions, similar to the one that ships with built-in vRA vRO. I tend to use xCA for these jobs, but openSSL will do as well. The exact format required for the certificate of vRO is not documented, but I can make sure you need it like this: PEM certificate in key private and public including format PKCS #1, formatted as follows:

    -----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
    (Your private Key: your_vro_server.key)
    -----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
    -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
    (Your primary certificate: your_vro_server.crt)
    -----END CERTIFICATE-----
    -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
    (Your intermediate certificate: intermed.crt)
    -----END CERTIFICATE-----
    -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
    (Your root certificate: root.crt)
    -----END CERTIFICATE-----

I had problems when I used the key extensions so I would say you don't use and don't create a very basic cert without extensions V3, as indicated on the right of the image to my last post (ideally, you want to have a cert with the same properties as the cert is used by the device of integrated vRO vRA unless of course different CN) etc.).

    2. use the vRO control center located at https://your-externa-vro:8283 / vco-controlcenter / #/ and move to--> Orchestrator Server SSL certificate certificates. Use the action to import to import your PEM cert. It should tell you that you need to restart your device vRO. Then RESTART the device (for not just restart the service, this seems not be sufficient).

3 al ' vRA remove the Endpoint vRO everywhere wherever it has been configured. Also, I removed the vRO to the ASD config just to make sure that nothings left.

4 reboot the vRA power (IAAS can be left as what). I needed to do this because I have seen that the keystore at some point would keep beeing crushed by CERT vRA (?), I deleted it (AND I checked that they are deleted) reappears in the keystore after a while. After a reboot, the problem was gone, the keystore was clean.

    5. Add the configuration of endpoint and ASD vRO. Accept the certificate.

    6. the works.

Therefore, while I have no more time to solve the problems more than I guess the problem is the SHA1 function certificate generated by the device of vRO. The internal unit is equipped with a SHA2 based cert that works and after that change the external device SHA1 cert in a basic cert SHA2 all works.

  • Can I use Lable 8.6.1 to extract the files and manipulate them using NI_SCC.lvlib

I'm trying to generate some configurations and documentation files that I want to manage with SVN.  The NI_SCC.lvlib there hooks for this?  If so is there an example I can look at?  My main problem is the references (refnum project)

    Any help would be great!

    Thank you

Yes, you can use the interface of NOR.

However, you will need to use an additional software module to communicate with a server SVN (pushOK SVN).

Take a look at the connectivity-> Source Control palette.

  • Playbook app icon

    Hello
I am building an app for the PlayBook using webworks.
I correctly packaged and signed using ripple.
I installed the .bar file on my PlayBook and everything works fine, but it does not approve the BB app world team:
"problem of icon after installing the application, please make sure that the icon is 86 x 86 in a blackberry file - tablet.xml and included in your file bar '."

I am comfused because my icon is 86 x 86 and if I unzipp my .bar file I can see the file appicon.png in the file blackberry - tablet.xml?
    So what's the problem?
I can say that the blackberry - tablet.xml is a file generated automatically when the application of packaging. I'm following the webworks for the configuration file documentation and it says that you must create a config.xml file (not blackberry - tablet.xml)...

Any help would be welcome, thank you.

    Laurent

I read somewhere in the documentation icon.png is a reserved name. That's how I named my file to app icon!

I hope that this is the reason why my version of the app has been denied.

In any case, I created an iconApp folder and named my iconTD.png file.

    Now, I'm waiting for approval...

One thing you need to know: If you do another package of your application name your file to archive .zip with the same name that you use for the previous version or you couldn't post your release on appworld:

  • Disable Cisco on CTS system start/end call tones

Does anyone know how to disable the Cisco tones on call start and end on the CTS systems. I have looked everywhere in CUCM and don't see any type of setting for her thus done quick search via the web. When I'm testing, I'm so tired of listening to the tones over and over again and the volume control does not seem to help.

    Thanks for all the ideas.

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

The tone at the end of the call can be enabled or disabled by the parameter of "call termination enable ring" in the codec in CUCM configuration. Documentation speaks of this setting controls the ring at the end of the call, and I'm not aware of any call origination tone control framework.

    Kind regards

    Antonio.

  • Bug of HOL-SDC-1430

    Hello

I just wanted to report a problem with HOL-SDC-1430. On Page 69 it SAIS to start the vRO customer. Howerver, I guess that the vRO service is not started on the vRA VM that is used in the example, so I can't connect to the vRO / customer downloaded.

I guess a simple chkconfig--level 35 vco-Configurator on in the vRA would do the job, but I was unable to connect to vRA on port 22 for verification.

I have looked into this issue more and discovered that vRealize as orchestrator was not properly authorized.  Good evaluation license that expired was beyond the initial period of 90 and so it would not start automatically.  Although I could get it to start manually, the best solution is to allow vRO correctly using vCenter Server license.  Once done, the server of vRO started very well.

While I was making changes in the laboratory, I also activated the vRO Configuration service and add a link in Firefox in the folder of bookmarks to the Admin.  In this way, if the vRO server can fail for any reason, you can get pretty easily it goes again in the laboratory.

I also added a SSH access for root to vra - 01 a .corp .local and vra - id - 01 a .corp .local. It's just in case the identity unit must be restarted or the vRO Configuration service is not available.

    Please start the lab.

    Thank you!
