• Permanent license SSL_VPN

  Hello

  We bought a SSL_VPN license to use on a 1921.
  The installation went as usual, but the active license is always the evaluation license.

  Is there a way to activate the permanent license? I already rebooted the device.
  I am familiar with the command 'license c1900 technology-Starter package', but I don't think that this applies to licensed SSL_VPN.

  To activate the permanent license at the expiration of the evaluation license.

  If you really want to change the priority before then, you can use "license change low priority SSL_VPN" at the command prompt preferred to reduce the priority of low evaluation license, making it the active permanent license.

  Yes, we should not increase the number of phones if we don't have that many number of licenses, you can purchase licenses and keep them with you, no need to install the router of the CME, is a license agreement for the document.

  But still, if you want to increase then you can increase this limit by max-ephone of orders xx xx and max - dn to the title of the telephony service. for example if you set max-ephone 100 currently, and you change this value by max-ephone 140.

  Edit: And you put an exclamation mark after max-ephone then you will get to know how your guy is supported phones.

  I the permanent Base license and permanent license to add-on from blockbuster. But advanced monitoring and additional license statement is always EVAL. There is no order information for ACS 5.1 - Advanced Monitoring and Reporting Add-on license. Advanced built-in license ACS5.1 and EVAl the follow-up was for ACS5.0? Thanks for help.

  You are right. These advanced M & T capabilities are built into the feature DCC 5.1 base. In ACS5.0 a license is required for this feature but not in 5.1 ACS

• Licensing - what should I buy... ?

  We are an educational institution.  We bought recently two Dell PowerEdge 2950 servers with 2 processors image each.  Both also included:

  VMWare ESXi v3.5 Upd.v2 built-in license 2CPU

  VMWare ESXi v3.5 Upd.v2 2CPU 1 year SnS

  Later, I downloaded and used VMware vCenter Converter Standalone to move a server from physical to virtual.  I understood that he was free to use.

  We currently have 4 virtual machines in each host and we manage each host with their own instance of VIC.

  We want a centralized for two guests (need to VCenter) administration console?

  We would like to move virtual machines from one host to the other hw failure.

  We need an option to backup virtual machines each night so we can quickly get up and running after a disaster.

  Currently we have not any plans for cloud computing (no need for VSphere?).

  Can what VMWare 'features' download and use for free to solve part of our needs above?

  What "features" VMWare do we need to buy to get the features above...?

  For your situation, I would look in the new bundles of vSphere Essentials.  They offer packages that are very affordable for small businesses, yet still provide the features you are looking for.  I would watch vSphere Essentials Plus for your environment (see the link below for more information):

  This bundle brings you with licenses for 3 x 2 CPU hosts running ESX or ESXi.  It also shows vCenter Server Essentials, which provides centralized management for up to three ESX host.  It also includes VMware HA which would suit your needs you need to move VMs from one host to another in the case of a hardware failure.  And finally, it includes the protection of VMware software data (backup to disk) that can provide you with backup of virtual machine backup options.  To be honest, the third party (such as Veeam Backup or Vizioncore vRanger connection) are better.

  I think it's really worth a look for the bundle of vSphere Essentials Plus your environment.

• Envy dv7: cannot activate Windows 10

  A customer brought me a computer laptop dv7 want who came originally with Windows 8.0. He said that he had updated to 8.1 of Windows, then Windows 10. He wanted to transfer the machine to a parent, so doing a factory restore to 8.0. He brought to get me back to Windows 10. To save time, I did a clean install of Windows 10 and he pointed out activated. Now, a few days later he said that it is NOT enabled. After talking with Microsoft, I was told that I had to get the license key Windows 8.0 original of the motherboard anchored an entry like the license key to activate Windows 10. I have no idea how to get that key and reading that I've done, HP is not likely to be helpful on this. I even tried Windows 8.0 and 8.1 OEM key I have in stock, but they work no.  I'm open to suggestions and/or assistance on this.

  OK, finally found a utility called RWEverything that will allow to recover the built-in license key. Windows 10 still wouldn't turn on, so had to communicate with Microsoft. With this key, they have been able to check and activate Windows 10 for my client.

• Can HP 17-J005EA I switch to a SSD

  How do I know who and what makes the SSD are compatible with this laptop *.

  My new laptop is amazing and I am very satisfied with the performance. But... I do not understand for a laptop for the price of... Well, we know the price, it did not have an SSD as drive and a HARD drive as your secondary HARD drive. Why HP had no 7200 RPM HARD drive instead of 5400 RPM I'll never know. 5400 RPM for a HARD drive in a laptop with a high spec is amazing.

  I would like to change the HARD disk from primary to a 240 GB SSD, but I am concerned about the warranty on the laptop. Everything I'm doing upgrades the main HARD drive to a SSD drive that would not only to improve the performance of the laptop. I built and now my own custom built for 15 years and only recently built drilling rigs a new rig custom which is a Coolermaster COSMOS II and I don't skimp on the custom versions as this matter is very expensive.

  I don't see there a problem with the upgrade of the HARD primary for one SSD drive to be honest, I am an experienced system integrator and I would like to put Windows Pro 8.1 on this SSD instead of the default win 8 STD. I created a PID and CFG files in order to bypass the built-in license key, so I can install Windows 8 Pro.

  Are you sure that your laptop has not already a disk configuration hard mSATA as memory cache?

  Use the HP Envy 17 Notebook Maintenance & Service guide to get the specs for one SSD that will work with your laptop.

  As far as brands go, it's your choice. I advise you to buy an SSD with a upgrade kit (usb to SATA cable & software of cloning). I suggest a brand like Corsair. They make and sell hard drives SSD as autonomous disks and Portable SSD upgrade kits. I have one of the kits and the upgrade went perfectly.

• LMS 4.1: 0 devices in Campus Manager (Port VIRTUAL LAN assignment,...) Bug?

  I met again a problem with the new virtual device of Cisco first LMS 4.1.

  My camera is installed, built-in license and several features added in the DCR.

  If I go the inventory > manage device state, I can find ALL of my additional devices (I use the host name, without adding DNS domain).

  But in the Campus Manager , for example in: Configuration > Workflows > VLAN > Vlan Port trust , I have not all devices!

  Well, I tried several times to launch a Collection of data on "All devices", but nothing more...

  If I go to Admin > Collection settings > Data Collection--> display devices --> always the same features inside... nearly 20 devices and I have a lot more than 20 devices in my network!

  How could I solve this problem please?

  It's really annoying, because we can't TRUST VLAN PORT of LMS on devices...

• Virtualization with Windows 7 EULA

  Update Win 7 professional XP EULA allowing virtualization in Fusion?  I'm about to order a version in advance.

  Historically, MS wants only to make pay and of any material (virtual or not) install you on.

  If your question is - can I install an upgrade license Win 7 in fusion, the answer is almost certainly "Yes".

  If you ask anything more complicated - can I use the Windows 7 built in license for a virtual XP translates into a separate instance of XP in a VM fusion... that takes a little further examination of this EULA.  Since the real EULA is not available yet, you may have to wait for a response.

• License Manager for applications built in LabVIEW

  What I have is a licensing system to add to applications built in LabVIEW that works more or less like a volume, or as FlexLM license server, where a customer is allowed to so many instances/seats of a program.  Most of what I found looking around my own has been for licenses Add-ons for LabVIEW, which is not what I'm looking for (it's what makes third-party attribution license and activation tool box, for example).  I want it to work like saying the CAD program to work - we have X licenses to run SolidWorks, so when someone starts the program, it fist check with the license server to see if a license is available.  If so, the application opens, and then withdraw the license when the app is left.

  I found Protection PLUS 5 of SoftwareKey SDK.  It looks pretty good.  I like that they have a licensed server product that manages the whole "set up a license server" for me.  I think that some (or a lot) of work, this could be useful.

  The problem I have with the product is that it's a terrible LabVIEW library.  It is not to add to the palette of features anywhere.  Not one of the screws included have a description.  They don't follow things to standard LabVIEW style, like the error code from the lower left and the lower right (actually go in and out of the top middle).  They have an online site that lists what each command and how it works, but it's a pain to work looking back from a webpage to LabVIEW.  The only example they included is a little obtuse.

  So I guess I have two questions.  The first is, has anyone used 5 over Protection, and what did you think of him?  The second is, is there an another add-on which recommend you people?

  Every year I buy instrumentation include a licensed OEM Windows operating system.   Regular maintenance lab at my installation implies historically harddrive cloning to create identical machines for identical seasons when new provider driver/tools are available.

  Until this year, our instruments of the seller have all come with the same OEM Win7 Pro, facilities so we have followed carefully what licenses went with what instruments, but were easily able to quickly deploy updates string tool by doing a manual installation & validation process 1 x and then 'cloning' around the laboratory to wear all the benches in accordance.

  The most recent instruments, we bought provider now include OEM Win7 built-in instead of "Win7 pro" our concern is that now our current model of 'cloning' will not work, because we have a pool of # win7 pro licenses and a pool of win7 # Embedded licenses.

  To all the instruments of the 'same' for the sake of cloning, us (very probably via OEM Embedded Win7, because the seller cannot provide Pro licenses) us fall under the aegis of the "downgrade rights"? Or do we need to negotiate with the seller to provide a reserve of specifically OEM Win7 Embedded licenses to assign to the laboratory & retired benches our set of OEM Win7 Pro files?

  Upgrade to a later version of Windows is not an option because we want to stay with provider supported OS (es).
