It is a Grid Control alert. You watch a 'Cache Web' through Grid Control.

The 'Cache' midtier.zihapps.ziic.net_Web in this alert is a link. Click it and you will get to your grid control.

    Hello

I'm working on configuring WCCP for our LAN and I wonder if there are any differences in features between the use of 'ip wccp web cache' or 'ip wccp [number] "?

    Hi Martin,

The WCCP service numbers are characterised by TCP port numbers, in the case of the web cache wccp, this will redirect all traffic to TCP port 80 of routers to Cisco Cache/CNSE devices.  Other third party WCCP clients will use wccp custom number (90-97), some of the groups most common wccp service are shown below:

  • Oracle Web Cache and OBIEE 11g

Anyone using Oracle Web Cache with OBIEE 11 g?

Can I get an overview of the issue of whether this solution is beneficial? Or I should not even bother.

    Hi Kletos,

I use the 10 g (not 11g), is there a difference between people? If this is not the case, then using the web cache is also beneficial to consider the request to hit the database in other words.

The web cache can contain most recently used reports or invite (all) cache - which is also useful.

    hope this helps

    Cause
This issue has been studied in the Bug 9829732: AREA of SGD AGENT 11.1.0.1 RUNNING ON CONSUMED the UPPER MEMORY

Using pmap to check the memory usage:

    $ ps - ef | grep agent11g
    PMAP $

    00002aab36ee0000 942080 rwx-[anon]
    .....

It was found that the majority of virtual memory has been consumed by these [anon] blocks.

It was found that the memory of Java used by the Agent when using JNI calls must be tuned. This may be necessary when the large number of "java" such as Weblogic servers targets is monitored by the Agent.

    Looks quite obvious.
Grid control is delivered with Oracle Application Server and Oracle Application server consists among other things of Oracle Http Server and Oracle Webcache.
Caches frequently accessed WEBCACHE URL in memory to avoid everything that the reading of the disc.
And, Yes, Grid Control is constructed using generic components, so all traffic between Oracle Management Server and the repository database is the HTTP traffic (although WHO and the database are on the same server) so goes via Webcache.
Grid control comes with several metrics, components different thresholds should not meet. In this cache hit of the webcache ratio is only 16.67%, which is below threshold.
You can change the Oracle Webcache configuration using your browser and this process is obviously

    documented

(And documents are the only thing that anyone here ever reads)

  • 29.0.1 FF with Adblock Plus 2.6: Web pages do not display properly

29.0.1 Firefox does not correctly load the pages. It seems that photos, boxes, etc. are not displayed, but their content online (which we would see after clicking and maybe taken to another page) is displayed. The only active add-on is Adblock Plus 2.6. Clear cookies and web cache did not help. (Don't know how to send a picture with this question to explain.)

This seems to have been caused by the Adblock Plus EasyList Italy + EasyList filter list. I've updated the list and the problem disappeared.

  • How to create a strategy to bypass the cache for the WSA URL

How to create a strategy to bypass cache to a URL on cisco WSA

You can set the URL to be "ignore" in the web cache (basically set this URL to never be cached in WSA)

To do this, you'll need to CLI of WSA and question 'webcache' command 'Ignored' and 'URL '.

    example:

    WSA.lab > webcache

    Select the operation to perform:

-EXPEL - remove URL from cache

-DESCRIBE - describe the State of URL cache

-IGNORE - configure domains and URLS never to be cached

    [] > ignore

    Select the operation to perform:

    -DOMAINS - manage domains

    -URL - manage URLS

  • UCM images in the browser caching.

I use presenter content to show images of the Complutense University of MADRID. Appeared fine, but every time that I load image page url points to the server of the University Complutense of MADRID as http://< UCMserver >/cs/idcplg?...

My question is why these images are not being cached by the browser. Why my browser is trying to get these images still on the server.

I have other images in my project, which come directly from my code. These images resemble URLs http://< appserver > / < frame > /images/image.png etc

These images are getting cached in the browser.

What should I do for images UCM cache also the side browser?

    Thank you

    Sanjeev.

If you consider your question, it is actually a WebCenter Portal question since he is presenter of content that performs caching, regardless of the source.

Take a look at this white paper on Oracle Web Cache - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/webcenter/webcenter-webcache-integration-176984.pdf

Note that Oracle Web Cache is a feature of the Web of Oracle, the Oracle web server layer, so if you have an architecture where the web servers are different application servers (Web tier is also included in licenses of Weblogic Server), you will need a special permit for this.

To make sure that your button images are sharp, consider creating an invisible button on an image rather than use a web cache.

    Hello

the problem is that OBIEE 10.1.3.4.0 ha a bug, see the support document SAPurgeCacheByTable and SAPurgeCacheByDatabase not working do not [787797.1 ID].

The bug is logged as a Bug 6906535 and it resolved in the next version which is 11.1.

Currently, there is no difficulty for 10.1.3.4.

Support proposes to use SAPurgeAllCache() to work around the problem.

    I hope it helps.

  • Firefox has suddenly start delay when accessing the secure site

We have an application Java Tomcat 7 on Amazon Web Services EC2 server. The server is configured so that our application is the root application and is accessible from port 80. The application and the Tomcat are configured with SSL, so that whenever someone types in the url of the site (e.g. www.something.net) Tomcat will switch to HTTPS and use port 8443.
This all works fine, but it seems that if for some reason any Firefox expires when accessing the site, it will never reconnect on the site and any attempt to connect using www.something.net indicates that the connection has expired. Yet if you put in the port number (for example, www.something.net:8443) happens immediately.
I tried setting compensation in web cache content, defining the limit of cache to zero and by disabling web content offline. None of this has worked. Re-installing Firefox worked.
We if the question was limited to Firefox, but we did eventually run run in on Chrome too. On Chrome, I was able to get the browser to connect to the site by going to settings > advanced > clear data of the browser and delete the browser history, download, history, cookies and cache of images and files. Once I did the site come immediately with www.something.net and switch to HTTPS as it is supposed to do.
It took me several months to encounter this problem. But other users have encountered immediately (for example, when configuring a new machine).
Anyone can shed some light on this? I saw some issues, but none of them had what contributed to my situation. Can anyone suggest a way to remove all that is prevent Firefox to connect?

Pass port SSL 8443 to 443 has solved the problem. It seems that when the www.something.net url is entered, Firefox remembers that it's an SSL site and automatically add the 's' to get the https. In fact after the timeout, the url in the browser line https:www.something.net. Of course, this is by default the SSL port (443) standard, which does not work if 8443 is used. Join port 443 has solved the problem.

If you read about Tomcat configuration, the default SSL port is 8443. Maybe this is done for the test, but there never seems to be explained that there could be problems with 8443.

  • Why Fx 28 is pretty darn slow very recently compared to IE10 and Crome33?

I use Fx from eight last year and it has never been slow. But now I am experiencing Fx 28 (updated almost a month back) to be pretty slow since last week. I am using Windows 7 32 bit, 2 GB RAM (250 GB HDD) computer. Other web browser like IE10 and Chrome 33 are uber fast to search the Web while Fx 28 maintains loading of web pages forever (I tried mozila.org, google.com, yahoo.com , etc.). To counter this problem, I have 'disabled' or 'request to activate' all plug-ins (such as Shockwave Flash and Shockwave for Director, JAVA etc.) but it did not help iota of this problem. I scanned my computer with Malware-bytes and good suite AV did not show anything unusual with the system. I have searched the Mozilla support forum and tried other options as well as clearing web cache, use hardware acceleration (check and uncheck), using Fx in safemode, private mode etc and nothing worked. I don't want to switch to another browser just like that so would solve this problem as soon as POSSIBLE.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions in due course.

I reinstalled Fx and unchecked option "enable firfox health report" on the tab "data selection". I don't know what happened but now it does not work (although slow). May be some add-on screwed by updating Fx last time. But I don't know why it took nearly a month to have consequences on Fx.

Still, I would love to have a quick and light Fx on my system that I got a month back.

  • Can what files I exclude from Time Machine backups?

I use Firefox on OS X Mavericks. I use Time Machine to back up this computer. I know that Time Machine avoid automatically save my web cache. But which of the files in my directory profile I can't back up? I am particularly interested in the webappstore.sqlite, cookies.sqlite and healthreport.sqlite since they are on the larger end and seem to change frequently.

I have already excluded bookmarkbackups and places.sqlite. I have the browser the value automatically export my favorites so if I need to restore my computer I'll revisit my favorites but not my browsing history, that seems reasonable.

What type of data is useful for you?

A reset for example keeps personal data such as bookmarks (places.sqlite, JSON safeguards), history (places.sqlite), biscuits (cookies.sqlite), (signons.sqlite and key3db) passwords, form data (formhistory.sqlite), open tabs (sessionstore.js)
