Web service JSON data do not return does not

I created an application with a test sample local (active forlder) json file called "contacts.json" as below, just to test if I have any return data. The data returned in a listview without problem.

[{ "id":1, "firstname": "Mike", "lastname": "Chepesky", "title": "Sr. Editor",
  "image": "images/data/mike_chepesky.png", "active": true, "gender": "m" },
{ "id":2, "firstname": "Westlee", "lastname": "Barichak", "title": "Talent Scout",
  "image": "images/data/westlee_barichak.png", "active": true, "gender": "m" }]

I then changed the source for 'http://... '. "a link is valid and I checked, and it returns the data in a classic web browser (firefox). But he won't be in my application.

What I noticed, is that the difference between the local json file and the return of web service, the web service does not return the square brackets "[...]" the json... I suspect that maybe that's the problem? If so, how do I manipulate the data source in my application to incorporate media? Is the returned data (without brackets) real...

{"status":"successful","current_version":"1.1.1","latest_version":"1.2.0.0","details":"1. Item A 2. Item B 3. Item C","type":"Force update"}

Thank you.

If I'm not wrong, your local file json contains an array of objects, and that you load from your server contains a single object.
If so, you can not call insertList (data), use insert (data)

  • Basic questions about the PL/SQL web services and data source names

    Hello

I've successfully generated a web service for a procedure from PL/SQL packaged JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0).

The following code was generated in the base class for web services:
     __dataSource = (javax.sql.DataSource) __initCtx.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/dbconnectionDS");
However in the weblogic server, the data source name is jdbc/Gisele for deployment fails in a first time.

What is the recommended procedure to solve this problem? The obvious solution is to manually change the source - that's what I did and it worked fine. However if I re - generate the web service I won't lose my change. Is there a better way to do it?

Another question - in the web.xml file that is generated, there is a resource-ref to the data source. I was hoping that change the data source name it would help, but it didn't work. What is - it used to in this context?

    Thank you
    Luis

I forgot to add, so in case some time later and you want to update the connection to your service details, all you have to do is to add the following entry in your weblogic.xml:
    .

    JDBC/ref_name_from_web. XML
    JDBC/new_jndi_name

    .
And in this way, you will not have to change any code level to point your web service to another connection.

    Hi all

I'm looking to analyze the data returned by the Scopus API with Apex webservice.

First of all, I tried parsing the JSON, however, it seems that the apex_json.parse function does not produce a result when the string contains a ':' character.  (It looks a lot like the webservice returns returns a JSON XML version below, namespace and all).

I moved from the attempt to analyze the XML code that is less a model to:

So far, the best I could do is to extract the total results by XMLTable:

    SELECT results.totalResults INTO numResults FROM
        XMLTable(
            XMLNamespaces(
                default 'http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom',
                'http://prismstandard.org/namespaces/basic/2.0/' as "prism",

                'http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/' as "dc"),
            '/search-results' PASSING xmlResult
             COLUMNS
             totalResults NUMBER PATH '//opensearch:totalResults') results;

I'm not convinced that using XMLTable is the best solution, but that's what I've learned to work.  Take it further proves to be more problematic.

Ideally, what I want to do is get the Subproperty, favorite-name/given-name, favorite-name/initials, favorite-name and affiliation-affiliation/current-name in a collection, as well as the entrance of <>... < / input >.  The user can then select the correct author, and we can use the full set of data to process.

I'm sure that my problem comes down to manage multiple with XPath, although namespaces that putting my XPath through Validator online gives the desired result, it does not work for me in my PL/SQL.

If someone could provide some tips and suggestions, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you very much

It is not clear where you encountered problems because no details of the attempts to obtain the required information has been provided. Is not clear from the description exactly what "...". along with the ..." means, so I assumed that you want to store this item as an XML fragment in the collection. It is therefore necessary to use a loop with apex_collection.add_member as the most effective create_collection_from_queryb2 method doesn't have support to complete the collection XML column:

    ...

/* Assuming the xmlResult variable is set somewhere previously... */

      apex_collection.create_or_truncate_collection('SCOPUS_RESULTS');

      for scopus_entry in (
        select
            se.*

  • Data control for the Web Service based filter table adf only appear not

I have a SOAP web service I'm consumption as a web service data control.

When I use one of the results of the web service through data to the web service in the form of a table control in the user interface with the filter and sort, I don't see the filters on the top of the table.

It comes to JDeveloper version 11.1.1.7.

Please let me know if anyone has an idea on this issue.

    TIA

    ABS

You need connect your own logic on the filtering table.

The table doesn't actually do the filter - it does, is the data control to filter the info - for a Web service we do not know how it will actually make a sort-, so you'll need to add a filterListener on the table and call a WS that will be returned the filtered data method.

  • ADF Mobile Page with the data control of Web Service not showing latest results

    Hello

I developed a simple mobile application of ADF. It has two functions members and subscriptions. These two pages are part of my Taskflow. On the members page I show all members in a list by using the Web Service method data Find command. In the list item have a listener property Set where I'm storing MemberId in a variable of pageFlowScope for action. On the subscription page, I have a bar graph that gets the data with the help of a Find method in control of data to the Web Service. The find method is based on a view created criteria which has a member ID of input parameter. in the model of ADFBC project. I connected the variable using the AMX page binding. The variable is being levied on the pageFlowScope variable.

The page displays the chart first to a member. And shows the same graph for the other members. I printed the memberId variable and it shows the value of the respective members. But the cards are not get updated every time I select new Member.

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Mehabub

Go to the Connections tab, and then click the Green plus sign on the central section - you need to add a 'invokeAction. Give it a name, and then select the iterator that built the table, and that's all you should have to do. The invokeAction fires whenever you visit the page and should update the list.

    Hello
When you create a file as inbound transaction adapter, test tab will be disabled because it is not exposed as a Web service. If you want to test, you must place the file in the required incoming directory you poll.
You can change the location of the incoming directory by editing the file adapter properties tab.
It is the only way that you can test.

It is advisable to mark the answers as useful or Correct.

  • Web services are not installed

I have an officejet pro 8100 n811a.  My systems running Windows 7.  The printer is on the network and I am able to print to it.  It takes an IP address via DHCP.  It is not allowing me to install web services so I can set up eprint.  After that I agree to the terms, it kicks back to a message of:

When I originally put in place, it allowed me to connect to the web service and run the update.  EPrint appeared to install, but when I tried to print to it, it would show in Quebec, but the error and does not come to the printer.  I restarted the printer, and then he didn't have to contact the server.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and when I go to update product, it says that my product is up-to-date.  But it still does not allow me to install web services.  I'm not on a proxy and there is no firewall settings blocking the connection.  He once installed, but it seems that after update of product, it will not work.  Ideas?

    Hi makeitwork.

I suggest to reconnect the printer to the network by running the Wireless Setup Wizard and attempt to restart the web services. If this is not enough, you may change some DNS settings in printers EWS (built-in web server) to do this, put the IP address in a browser window on your PC.

This should start the integrated Web server. In SAP, select the network on the network tab, select 'network '.

Then select "network address" (IP). Do not change the IP configuration at the top. Go down under "DNS address configuration"and select 'Manual DNS server'. " Under manual DNS server, enter (an 8 in each box on the first line) 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 on the second line. Press the button 'Apply' at the bottom.

Now try to connect to Web Services again.

BTW, I also tried DNS manuals with addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as suggested in a previous post. No change.

EPrint from mobile devices (Android and Ipad) worked on the first day, but only when she is on the LAN...

    Hello @andershl,

Welcome to the HP support forums.

I understand that your M176n will not allow Web Services.

    I would like to help.

Personally, I found that the Google DNS works best with inkjet printers.

For LaserJet, I use DNS of Level3 address.

    Primary: 209.244.0.3

    Secondary: 209.244.0.4

If Web Services are still not allowing, turn the printer off and disconnect the power supply to the router for about a minute.

Plug everything back in and turn the printer.

When the network has emerged again, try to enable Web Services.

  • Bind several web service data controls on the same page

    Hello
    JDev version: 11.1.1.6.0
I using SOAP web services. I have the following usage:
I have the data control for the web service, that records the values entered into the form. I created the entry form using the data control (DC1).
There is an input field [T1], on the tab, I need to fill an another text field, for which the data is returned to an another web service (DC2) data control.
For the same input text [T1] on the tab out, I need fill in the object list in the component selectonechoice, for which the data is returned to an another web service (DC3) data control.

Is it possible to use bind several data controls on the same page to reach the use case?
However, I want to avoid the use of managed bean. Is it possible to do this?

    Concerning
    Fabiola

    Hello

I can make the case to use even without the use of the managed bean?

Yes, although the managed bean solution seems reasonable to me.

    Difficulties are

+ 1) REQ1 and REQ2 are the parameters that is common to both 1 and 3 services. +

Text fields that provide arguments to a method are related to an input variable (file PageDef has an iterator variable in the executable section). A variable can be referenced from method arguments

+ 2) REQ1 is the parameter that is common to both 2 and 3 services. +

Identical to 1. Create a setting for service 2 and map variables in the arguments of the method of service 3

    + 3) Service3 needs all REQ1, REQ2, REQ3, and REQ4 parameters as parameters to save the data. +

As said, fields can be referenced from variables, dependent, the linking of the attribute fields (as I guess it is a return value in the bound field)

There are problems of links as the same setting is available between several departments.

    It's new to me

Is it possible to solve these problems of binding addresses?

Yes. Make sure however that WS DC iterators you see in PageDef have their property Refresh ifNeeded for the refreshment of the bound field work properly

  • How to send data to a Web service

Hello everyone. I have a very simple example of sending data (2222) to an existing Web service as follows:

     topmostSubform.Page1.SEND::click - (JavaScript, client)
    var url="http://Localhost:8080/4DWSDL";

    serv.MethodeSOAP(2222);
    app.alert("hello 2");

However, it works fine in Acrobat, but not in the drive. Is it possible to make it work?

In addition, although in this example, the data to be sent are only worth 2222, but my goal is to send all the information from the form to a Web service. Someone has tried it before, or is there an other way easier to do? I would appreciate any suggestion on your part thanks

Via web service calls data connections will not work in the drive, unless the form has been activated in LC Reader Extensions ES2 to drive:

  • Creating Web Service - repetition of data structure

I am creating a Web Service in Coldfusion MX 7, and I'm looking for help on its design.

The problem is a the called "calculateQuote" of the cffunction 30 < cfargument... > need statements for all the necessary items. To compound things, 10 of these arguments describe insurance as part of the citation and each policy can occur 1 repeatedly. I consider a statement < cffunction... > it is huge.

As the alternative, is it reasonable to have 1 statement < cfargument... > that contains an xml document that has the entry? It would be strange to do or is - what a "normal way" to write web services that require a large amount of input data?

Here's what I guess the cffunction would look like...

    "< cffunction access ="remote"name ="calculateQuote"output ="false"returntype ="? ">
    < name cfargument = "xmlQuoteInput" type = ""? "required ="true">"
    ...
    < cfset strucValidate = XmlValidate (ARGUMENTS.xmlQuoteInput, myXSDFile) > <! - validate the XML - >
    < cfset varXMLQuoteInput = XmlParse (ARGUMENTS.xmlQuoteInput) >
    ... and so on
    < / cffunction >

    Thank you!

Cannot do an arg with xml type if you use a CFC as a web service, it will create not the WSDL properly if you want ColdFusion to do it automatically, and any consumer will know not what to go in it, unless you publish documentation saying exactly what you need.

You need to use CFCS as types of services Web here:
    http://www.Adobe.com/go/tn_19169 is an example.

For you, the rough structure in a way to make, it should be (assuming that your real web service would be called WebService.cfc)

    -WebService.cfc
    -InsuranceQuotes.cfc
    -InsuranceQuoteType01.cfc
    -InsuranceQuoteType02.cfc
    ....
    -InsuranceQuiteType10.cfc

Then you should do the following in the attached code.

Note the type of [] on the InsuranceQuotes.cfc, this means an array of the types of web service CFC.

That's the answer rough, more difficult to give more details without examples to hardcode. You might be able to get rid of the intermediate InsuranceQuotes.cfc but for the moment it's the way I'd do it.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8625 not connected to the network - no active web services

Just bought this printer and cannot get the active web services! Keeps telling me printer not connected to the network. Printing and scanning very well. It is connected via USB.

    Hello

You need to connect the printer to a network in order to enable Web Services, those who will not work with a USB connection, such as those that require an internet connection.

You can follow the steps below to connect the printer to the network and configuration for the ePrint printer:

  • The call to the web service help

    Hello

I use a web service to handle validation. I created the web service and it ran OK, but the report still does not found data. I wanted to see what was in the returned collection, I have therefore created a new region with the following SQL:

    SELECT CLOB001
    OF wwv_flow_collections c
    WHERE c.collection_name = 'P37_VALIDATECCSZ_RESULTS. '

    This has given in: "Marion 0 true true Wayne 14505 1.0 AddressResponse: Marion, NY 14505/Val = true/Rel = 1.0/INCP = true/Geo = 0 NY true."

The default report is a failure because the response is not XML I think.

I ran the web service in java and it returns:

    < soapenv:Envelope = "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:soapenv >
    < soapenv:Body >
    < ns:validateCCSZResponse xmlns:ns = "http://validation.util.oss.paetec.com" >

So, anyone know why the call of APEX web service does not return the XML? I get the values from the XML, but I have no way to analyze to get what I need...
    Thank you
    -Johnnie

    Johnnie:

I slightly changed the basics of Xpath and also changed namespace. Try the following.

    SELECT extractValue( value(T), '//city', 'xmlns="http://client.validation.util.oss.paetec.com/xsd"' ) city
    ,extractValue( value(T), '//county', 'xmlns="http://client.validation.util.oss.paetec.com/xsd"' ) county
    ,extractValue( value(T), '//incomplete', 'xmlns="http://client.validation.util.oss.paetec.com/xsd"' ) incomplete
    ,extractValue( value(T), '//postalCode', 'xmlns="http://client.validation.util.oss.paetec.com/xsd"' ) postalCode
    ,extractValue( value(T), '//reliability', 'xmlns="http://client.validation.util.oss.paetec.com/xsd"' ) reliability
    ,extractValue( value(T), '//state', 'xmlns="http://client.validation.util.oss.paetec.com/xsd"' ) state
    ,extractValue( value(T), '//streetName', 'xmlns="http://client.validation.util.oss.paetec.com/xsd"' ) streetName
    ,extractValue( value(T), '//streetNumber', 'xmlns="http://client.validation.util.oss.paetec.com/xsd"' ) streetNumber
    ,extractValue( value(T), '//validated', 'xmlns="http://client.validation.util.oss.paetec.com/xsd"' ) validated
    FROM TABLE(xmlsequence(extract(XMLTYPE.createxml('

    0

    true
    true

    14505

    1.0
    AddressResponse: /Marion, NY 14505/Val = true/Rel = 1.0/Incp = true/Geo = 0

    true

    '),'//responses','xmlns="http://client.validation.util.oss.paetec.com/xsd"'))) T

  • Where should I place a SWC file that describes a complex structure for a web service?

    Hello!

I am creating a web service in ColdFusion 9, which returns a complex structure or has a complex argument.  I'm placing the .cfc file that describes the structure in the same directory as the .cfc which uses the structure.  Right now just trying to get a wsdl.

I have currently two functions in my .cfc, first returns a string.  The other ideally returns an array of strings.  Saying returntype = "String()" gives an error that ColdFusion could analyze no chain

So I tried to make a type defined by the individual item being a string:

    < cfproperty >
< cfcomponent name = "Info source" type = "string" >
    < cfproperty >

    ------------------------------------
Is my code that uses this cfc:

    < cfproperty >
    < cffunction name = "getzips" returntype = "remote access" = "string" >
    < cfset #resultsCommaDelimtedZips # = "this is the result" >
    < cfreturn CommaDelimitedZips >
    < / cffunction >

    < cffunction name = "getInfoSources" access returntype = "at distance" = "InfoSources []" >
    < / cffunction >
    < / cfproperty >

    The error I get is:

    AXIS error

Sorry, something seems to have gone wrong... Here are the details:

Error - error trying to create the skeleton of Java for web service CFC. ; nested exception is:
coldfusion.xml.rpc.CFCInvocationException: [coldfusion.compiler.ParseException: invalid CFML construct found on line 3 in column 1.] ColdFusion was looking at the following: < p > & lt; < /p > < p > the CFML compiler treated: < ul > & lt; marks the beginning of a ColdFusion tag. I have a similar problem if I use cfcomponent:

    < cfproperty >
    < cfcomponent name = "approved" type = "string" >
    < cfcomponent name = "total_charged" type = "string" >
    < cfcomponent name = "charge_error" type = "string" >
    < cfcomponent name = "renewed_until" type = "string" >
    < cfcomponent name = "reason" type = "string" >
    < cfproperty >

Note: If the files of the components are not in a directory under the web root, you must create a server web mapping to the directory that contains them. You cannot use ColdFusion mappings to access web services.

So I tried putting the .cfc file in a directory under my folder wwwroot rather than inside.  That did not help.

Any suggestions?  I feel that I did exactly what all the documents I can find tells me to do!

    Thank you!

    -Mabel :-)

We work collaboratively with another company that makes the front-end server, by using the web service, so I need the wsdl show the kind of real data, not just "any", that is using what is 'array'.

If I use your code (add a name for the echoStatus argument), I get

How can I tell it a table of _strings_ specifically?

ColdFusion is loosely typed, so I wonder if we can be so specific in the type of data, without resorting to Java for example. But then again, you will meet soon all sorts of complications. A ColdFusion array and an array of java are 2 totally different things. Run the following code and you'll see why

    #testArray.getClass () .getName () #.

in any case, because the strings are is a subset of the type 'all', your service includes also the case where an array of strings is returned.
