Webcam hp dv6000

I'm an amateur at the comupters and forums.

I bought a HP dv6500 laptop and all right but I can't get the webcam working. It can be as simple as turning on the webcam but I don't know how to do it all.

Can you help me please

I am running win 7 ultimate 64-bit.

Thank you

Install this version of Windows 7 CyberLink YouCam and try to use the software to use the webcam.

Click on start, search the Device Manager and open this result.  Is there a stranger/other devices with one? or! icon on this subject?

Is there a category of imaging devices?  If so, the Webcam HP figure without errors?  If there is an error, open the unit and report the status message.

  • Windows 8 and dv6000

I haven't posted anything yet so I thought I'd let anyone who is curious given know: Yes, you can upgrade your DV6000 with Windows 8.  I did mine a few days ago and it seems to work great so far.  The procedure described in the thread Windows 7 Upgrade Guide for HP laptops for laptops of level 3 pretty much works for Windows 8, but with even less work.

My hardware configuration given that class DV6000 laptop computers were so many hardware configurations.  Not sure if I have a DV6000 DV6100 since my case has a certain product number and my BIOS has a number of different products.

Intel Centrino Duo T5600 at 1.83 GHz
    Intel ICH7 chipset
processor nVidia GeForce Go 7400 graphics
    Built in webcam
    SD card slot

I did a backup of my hard drive image by moving the drive of my laptop to another computer and using Acronis True Image backup (free versions available at Seagate and Western Digital).  Replaced the hard drive and run Setup from Win8 since a DVD burned ISO image created by the Upgrade Wizard of Windows 8.

I selected "Custom" for the type of installation, so I could change the partition of my hard drive.  Like most HP laptops, I had a recovery Partition and a partition without a name (diagnostic?).  I used the Setup program to remove all partitions so that Win8 would have the use of the disk set.

The installer of Windows 8 identified and installed the drivers for most hardware on my laptop.  Drivers not installed by the Setup program were for the audio Conexant modem Conexant soft, quick launch buttons, the Ricoh 5-in-1 card reader and the nVidia GPU.  All, but the card reader Ricoh and driver nVidia GPUS have been downloaded by Windows Update, when first update.  If you are connected to the internet during installation, the installer can download drivers during installation.

The installer has correctly identified the Ricoh memory card reader and buried a message in the center of the Action.  The message tells you automatically to a HP's FTP server to download the driver for the memory card reader.

The only factor that had to be downloaded and installed manually was for the nVidia GPU.  The latest worm driver 179,48 for Win7 from the nVidia Web site has worked well.  Do not use the Vista driver on the HP site.  The tiles disappear with it.

And that's all.  I was able to find more recent drivers for the Intel PRO / Wireless and I always check other materials.  But the installer of Windows 8 does most of the work and did it properly.

Windows 8 feels much faster than Windows XP.  It starts without a doubt faster and other window operations feel more quickly together.  The Metro interface is a little weird, but I can live with that.

So if you have a DV6000 similar to mine, Yes, you can put Win8 on it.

  • Installed HP Webcam laptop

After you install Windows Vista SP1, he deleted my image driver that activates my webcam. How and where can I get a new driver or is this pilot lost in Vista?

James, confirms that it is your laptop:
    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?OS=2093&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=1842155
I wasn't able to get it through the number of products, so make sure that it is infact dv6000 and it running Vista 32 bit.

Determine if you are running 32-bit or 64-bit:

Click Start-> right click computer-> select Properties. In the system window, under system, next to system type: it will show you the operating system 32-bit or 64-bit.

You will see your Webcam drivers under the heading:
Driver Webcam HP with update for Microsoft Windows Vista

If this isn't your laptop or if you are running a 64-bit Vista, adjust accordingly.
Note: it seems that there are no drivers listed for a 64 bit version of Vista for the listed model. Rami

  • Dv6000 Win7 (64 bit) and web cam software.

OK - I have improved my dv6000 (dv6925us) for Win7 64 bit.  Everything works fine - with the exception of the D * N web cam.  He enrolled in Device Manager and is visible here - but there is no software on the HP site so he can work.  I tried to download the recommended software for Vista 64, and running it in compatibility mode - but name joy at all (in fact, it does install it even the HP service pack - survey of errors and ends the installation).  Does anyone know of a 3rd party software that works with this webcam?

    Hello:

I think that you are supposed to use the Cyberlink YouCam software.  There is a version of W7, that you can try.

So I would like to know why some applications on my mac system access my webcam without my permission and which data are collected in a way?

Remove the antivirus software. It is worthless. You're not spying.

  • Logitech C310 Webcam not recognized

I have a Mac Mini from 2012 which I just upgraded to Sierra. Everything went well except the webcam, a Logitech C310, is not recognized by the operating system. He keeps his identification as "unknown device". It doesn't seem to work properly, but I fear that it is not properly recognized by the operating system.

Anyone else have a similar problem with a Logitech webcam that faces a problem?

Contact Logitech technical support. The camera may be incompatible.

  • Question about webcams with Macbook Pro 13-inch, mid 2010

Bear with me as I am the most fundamental basic Mac users. I am currently using a MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2010) with OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 I don't use Skype or FaceTime or something like that. Recently, I joined an online course in which they said I need a webcam, headset and microphone so that I can communicate with my instructor and discussions in class.

I have really no idea what hardware inside is on my laptop. Is the built in camera something that could be used for this purpose? Or do I need to buy these separately three elements to make this work? And if yes, are you easy to install and can anyone recommend something good, but also low-cost as possible.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Your built in FaceTime, camera is sufficient. This is the idea. outdoor cameras are mostly a thing of the past. If the internal webcam is broken, an external is always an option repair vs.

You may need their proprietary software to connect to their course however

  • iMovie does not recognize Logitech HD Webcam C310

I'm running OS X 10.11.6 on a MacBook Pro for 6 months. I would use my Logitech HD Webcam C310 (USB) to import images from a film 8 mm 60 years projector to iMovie, but iMovie does not recognize the camera. FaceTime, however, DOES not recognize the camera, and it appears also in system information. But no matter what I do (restart iMovie, disconnect and reconnect the camera, restart the machine), iMovie displays only the camera, which he calls the "FaceTime HD camera." Appreciate any help to get this camera to work. Thank you

I have a Logitech C920 webcam, and it is not recognized by iMovie.  It is recognized by Quicktime Player and Photo Booth applications and with one of these, you can save a movie that you can then import into iMovie.

  • Logitech c920 no video display Webcam in Firefox

Does not show my Logitech c920 webcam video in Firefox, but the audio works fine.

I have tried with all disabled add-ons.

It is the only webcam on my system.

I found a fix for the problem. For Firefox, in his topic: config controls carried out in accordance with the preferences media.*.enabled media.autoplay.enabled search is set to false. Return to the default Boolean value (true) solves the problem. A response to this thread also proposed changes to the preferences of media.*.enabled back to their default settings, but it does not apply to my solution. Therefore, other media.*.enabled preferences are not relevant.

  • AppleScript for recording video from webcam

    Hello

I'm new to applescripts and I am writing a script to record from webcam to say X seconds. I use the script below, but I get an error that I don't have permission to save this file on the desktop. How can I avoid this error? Secondly how can I save the file with timestamp added in the name of the file.

Thank you very much in advance, this is my first post in the community

    tellapplication "QuickTime Player"
set newMovieRecording to new movie recording

      tell newMovieRecording
      start
      delay 5
      pause
      save newMovieRecording in "/users/rohitbhutani/desktop/movie.mov"
      stop
      close newMovieRecording
      end tell

    Hi rbhutani,

First of all, you must have written

    newMovieRecording Save to POSIX file ' / Users/rohitbhutani/Desktop/movie.mov '.

    Instead of

    newMovieRecording record in ' / Users/rohitbhutani/Desktop/movie.mov '.

Then, to save the file with timestamp added in the name of the file, you can do the following:

the value theCurrentDate to the current date

value dateTime to short date string of theCurrentDate & space & time chain of theCurrentDate

    game of theFilePath to "/ users/rohitbhutani/Desktop/film ' & dateTime &".mov ".

    say application "QuickTime Player".

the value newMovieRecording to record new movie

    say newMovieRecording

    beginning

    period 5

    pause

newMovieRecording Save to POSIX file theFilePath

    stop

    newMovieRecording close

    end say

    end say
