• Satellite L450 - Webcam picture is grainy and dark

  I don't know if it's the web cam this model isn't very good but the web cam is very grainy and dark. I tried to play all usual with the settings but nothing enhances the i.e. lack, grainy image of any color and just generally poor and the laptop is brand new.

  If anyone has a good clear picture please let me know seems a shame because I'm happy with the rest of the system.

  If it doesn t work I would try to update the driver for the webcam. Just check the Web from Toshiba website for an update and install it.

  I know this may seem a stupid question, but how the hell do I save images captured with a webcam to my photo folders? I tried everything I can think of.

  I have a HP dv7-3079nr and am running Windows 7. I'm about to tear my hair on trhying to understand this.

  Your laptop comes with Cyberlink youcam and you need to change the settings for the location of the folder capture to the pictures folder.

  You just bought a NB550d lovelty I think it's FANTASTIC! I think it may have a webcam of duff on this when the image is very blurry and a bit grainy, as there is a layer of Vaseline or something is someone other webcams like this or I'll have to send this back for a replacement?

  I agree with Akuma. According to me, there are still a sticker of protection on webcam if image is not clear as you want.

  So please check again if webcam you can see such a sticker and remove it.

  My client has a webcam in his company (garage), and he wants to show his client live photos. So he set up the webcam directly into the garage and the customer can go to his website and see live what is happening with their cars.

  I asked the support of the Muse and they told me, I just need a customization of the site, and it should work.

  The microphone is a part of webcam if it s enough if you reinstall the driver for the webcam. Latest version can be downloaded on the official website of Toshiba. If the driver is installed, make sure that the webcam is set as default input device. You can do this in the audio settings of Windows.

  First of all, make sure that the camera software is installed and configured on the computer.

  1. open the Capture Cam life User Interface by clicking on the Microsoft LifeCam shortcut on your desktop or by clicking Start, all programs , then Microsoft LifeCam.

  2. take a picture with the Cam of life by clicking on the camera icon in the Capture User Interface (1).

  For more information on the web camera, you will need to download the documentation for the device and check the characteristics later.

  I have one from my webcam on my envy 15-1030ef.

  It seems to be unknown in the Device Manager - I guess that's the webcam.

  I tried:

  Re-install HP MediaSmart Webcam, restart

  Re-install the Firmware of HP Webcam, restart

  Still havving the same question, the stay of device in the 'unknown' State in the Device Manager and the Firmware still refuses to install - I still have the same error.

  I've seen a few post here referring to questions similar to mine, but whenever they were closed and redirected to the post on «purple webcam pictures» I saw no solution to the problem.

  OK, right click on the unknown device, click software update of the driver and that it points to C:\Windows\system 32\drivers\usbvideo. sys and see if it takes place... If this does not work. Go to BIOS and set the to the default values by pressing F9 and check... If it does not work... we don't have webcam on-site... While that bit of luck, the recovery may solve the problem...

  I use a chat room that uses the flash from adobe for webcams of video-conference. I used flash adobe for purposes of webcam for years without problem, but all of a sudden my audio/video out does not work and input audio/video is very choppy. My webcam pictures on the first picture he sees, and input audio/video jump just like a broken CD. I tried to uninstall/reinstall flash, uninstall reinstall chrome, different browsers... but the problem only exists in adobe flash.
