WEBCENTER Sites Patch 7 ehcache questions

Hi team,

"I applied the patch 7 after application of the patch when I connect to the WCS and click on system tools - management of cache cache sites - summary I get content server error... when I check the logs I get below error"

2. stop the previous cacheManager before creating a new one with the same name.

Ehcache versions before version 2.5 have allowed a number any of CacheManagers with the same name (same resource configuration) to exist in a JAVA virtual machine.

Ehcache 2.5 and higher does not allow for multiple CacheManagers with the same name exists in the same JVM. Please let me know if I need to change any file to fix this problem...

  • After you have patched WebCenter Sites 11.1.1.8.0 I can not connect

    I try to apply patch 12 WebCenter Sites 11.1.1.8.0, and everything seems to go smoothly, with the exception of 2 things:

    1. I couldn't connect the Mover catalog system to import the items listed in step 26
    2. Once the patch is complete, the service starts without error - but I can not connect with any user (including fwadmin etc.)

    I'm on Tomcat and RHEL.

    Could it be related to Oracle Support Document 2075394.1 (impossible to Log in Sites UI after applying Patch 11) can be found at: https://support.Oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?ID=2075394.1

    (although that SPECIFIC mention WebSphere instead of Tomcat).

    Has anyone seen this?

    Oracle support has helped us to solve this problem by updating some of the caching settings.

    See SR 3-11997390891: could not connect to the WebCenter sites after the upgrade

    To implement the solution, please perform the following steps:
    1 1. Make a backup of the jbossTicketCacheReplicationConfig.xml file in the bin folder
    2. open the file above to change and find the following line.
    TreeCache-Cluster
    3. change the line preceding as below
    TreeCache-Cluster-Node1
    4 save the file and restart the server after removal of the content from java.io.tempdir.
    5 repeat the test and notice that the problem no longer exists.

  • How to install a new copy of 7.6 FatWire locally without first installing FatWire 7.5 (to test the upgrade to WebCenter Sites 11.1.1.8)

    Hello-

    I am trying to install a local copy of 7.6 FatWire content server. This is the context.

    We have FatWire 7.5 on our production servers and you try to start the upgrade process to 11.1.1.8 Sites. I do not have a local copy of FatWire 7.5 and was trying to install FatWire 7.6 locally. It would help me to test the upgrade in a sandbox before you make changes to the production. So here are my questions.

    1. is it possible to install FatWire 7.6 without installation FatWire 7.5 first and then upgrade? The documentation and downloads respectively have only steps upgrade and update rollup Setup.

    2 need a license file generated by Oracle for a working installation FatWire 7.5? My understanding is that we do. This issue of links back to my first question on why I won't install FatWire 7.5.

    Kind regards

    Hari

    Hello Hari,

    If you downloaded the installer FatWire Content Server 7.5 of edelivery.oracle.com then you don't need a license file. If it is an older installer, not provided by Oracle, then probably need a license file. In this case, the installer will ask you the location of the license file. See Doc ID 1439204.1 on how to obtain a license file.

    Is the same for your installation of the rollup FatWire Content Server 7.6 program: if it's from Oracle, you don't need a license for her file, but if it's an older one, you might need (even if you have installed everything first version 7.5 provided by Oracle).

    Note that you should move to FatWire Content Server 7.6.2 (fix 13847799) before going to the WebCenter Sites 11.1.1.8.0. (See Doc ID 1455512.1)

    You can get this from support.oracle.com under patches and updates. (See Doc ID 1471102.1)

    Kind regards

  • 404 error on the newly created on the local Sites WebCenter site install

    Hi all

    I installed WebCenter sites in a local environment, and I tried to create a new site (newsite) following the guide below:

    http://www.sciabarra.com/FatWire/2015/10/26/webcentersites-12C-create-a-site-with-the-new-MVC/

    of more the creation of a webroot for the new site (/ newsite).

    Now I can see my site within the administration console and I can view pages created.

    The problem is when I try to access my site from outside, I get a 404 error.

    Are there additional measures to make the visible site?

    I can access properly at http://localhost:6003 / samples/home/sites, http://localhost:6003/sites/avi/home.html, but cannot access http://localhost:6003/sites/newsite/home.html

    Could you please help me on this?

    Thank you

    Giulio

    Hi, Giulio.

    Looks like you have a question similar to that described in the document following km:

    -Web references not working for the new Site (Doc ID 1968290.1)

    However, Sites 12.2.1, instead of update the Web.XML to include extra prefixes for the parameter the URLRewriteFilter SitePrefix, I think you should update the property site.prefix to the WebCenter Sites (by default, it includes the prefixes fsii, avi, samples.

    You should be able to do this via the property management tool.  A reboot may be necessary.

    Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Thank you
    Paul

  • Left frame: WebCenter Sites tree

    Hello

    I have installed 11.1.1.8 WCS, can operate successfully without any errors. I opened the browser and navigated to the URL of the site context, after that connected to Oracle WebCenter Sites as long as the general administrator (user fwadmin).

    In my selected site, Oracle WebCenter Sites displays the administrator interface. I see the picture button bar Top and form to create Site framework-CM right but left Frame-WebCenter Sites tree don't appeared. I don't know why.

    Error is the same if I connect by another user.

    Please help me solve this problem.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Take a look at the Doc ID 1614620.1 and see if that helps. Apply the latest patch also solves, because there is a tree applet update in this release to support JRE7_u51.

  • Upgrade Weblogic for Fatwire/Webcenter sites

    Hello

    I need some opinions on what I'm trying to achieve. I add this here and not server space under Weblogic, since I am trying to understand server upgrade complications related to Webcenter sites.

    We are reclassification of FatWire 7.5.4 to FatWire 7.6.2 on our way to WebCenter sites 11.1.1.8. The FatWire 7.5 is installed on Weblogic 10.3.0. We seek to upgrade to FatWire 7.6.2 on Weblogic 10.3.0 and then subsequently pass Weblogic to 10.3.5.

    We are looking at two possible options for the upgrade from weblogic.

    1 using Weblogic utility upgrade to upgrade from Weblogic to 10.3.5 Weblogic 10.3.0(with FatWire 7.6.2).

    2. place a distinct environment with Weblogic 10.3.5. Deploy the application CS (from the Weblogic 10.3.0) in Weblogic 10.3.5, port during the installation directory (/fatwire) and the shared directory. Point the new data source to the database.

    My questions are

    1. is there another way, this has been implemented?

    2 everyone faced complications with Option 1 (which is the simplest)?

    3. for Option 2, I do not think there is any configuration in the file shared/install dir/cs application/database that are specific to the application server, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Thank you.

    Hello Hari,

    I suggest option [1]: upgrade Sites WebCenter to 7.6.2 first and then upgrade WebLogic at 10.3.5, like Sites is supported only on WLS10.3.5 from Sites 7.6.2.

    It is possible to set up a separate WebLogic 10.3.5, but during the original WLS Portage to the new, can be tricky. There are a few properties that depend on the appserver specific, such as cs.jsproot settings in futuretense.ini. There may be other properties in other files as well. I don't have a comprehensive list.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

    Stephan.

  • Application example "Articles" does not start on Oracle WebCenter Sites Jump Start Kit with Tomcat

    Hello

    I'm new to the Oracle WebCenter Sites platform and I followed step by step documentation at this link: http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E29542_01/doc.1111/e29634/wemlaunchingsampleapp.htm

    I am trying to install the sample application named "Articles" as indicated in the link. After that, I compiled the application, I move the .war file on the following path: "C:\Oracle\App_Server\apache-tomcat-7.0.42\Sites\webapps".

    Then I stop the Application Server and then restart it. It creates the new folder in the folder webapps ' Articles - 1.0 ", but when I try to go to the localhost:9180/Articles-1.0/install.app link as mentioned in the documentation it gives me"HTTP 404 "status.

    If I go to Tomcat Web Application Manager he said that items - 1.0 is not started, and if I try to start it again it told me: 'FAIL - Application to the context items - 1.0 path not could be started.

    That's what it says in the catalina from the application log file:

    file in this part:

    <>

    Class = "net. SF. Ehcache.distribution.RMICacheManagerPeerProviderFactory ".

    Properties = "peerDiscovery Auto is, multicastGroupAddress is 230.0.0.0,

    multicastGroupPort=@casCacheMultiCastGroupPort @, timeToLive = 0 "/ >"

    change of attribute multicastGroupPort=@casCacheMultiCastGroupPort @

    with your JumpStart Kit port (my port was 9180)

    multicastGroupPort = 9180

  • WebCenter Sites REST API: How to add multiple attributes to Active?

    I created an asset with a multiple attribute, as for example, a set of images.

    I would like to insert images of this asset with the Webcenter Sites REST API but I Don t know how.

    Single attribute is like this:

    sourceAssetAttribute = new Attribute();
      sourceAssetAttributeData = new Data();
      sourceAssetAttribute.setName("FSIILongDescription");
      sourceAssetAttributeData.setStringValue("Test Long Description");
      sourceAssetAttribute.setData(sourceAssetAttributeData);
      sourceAsset.getAttributes().add(sourceAssetAttribute);

    And multiple is how?

    I finally got.

    https://support.Oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=563491042188574&parent=document&SourceID=1528601.1&ID=1510322.1&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.CTRL-State=m55lxhl4z_58

    It s like this:

    sourceAssetAttribute = new Attribute();

    sourceAssetAttributeData = new Data();

    sourceAssetAttribute.setName ("attribute_name");

    sourceAssetAttributeData.getStringLists (.add(0,"Asset_type:"+asset_id));))

    sourceAssetAttributeData.getStringLists (.add(1,"Asset_type:"+asset_id));))

    sourceAssetAttribute.setData (sourceAssetAttributeData);

    sourceAsset.getAttributes () .add (sourceAssetAttribute);

  • fw_uid in Oracle webcenter sites

    Hi all

    Please let me know what is the purpose of fw_uid in the .xml files.

    Thank you

    Chantal

    Hello

    In the chapter on the tools of the developer in the developer's guide explains the reason for fw_uid, you can find it at

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E29542_01/doc.1111/e29634/dt_sync.htm#WBCSD978

    Here's a snippet that sums up:

    "Each resource created in Sites WebCenter is assigned a unique local identifier. Local identifier of the resource is unique only in the instance of WebCenter Sites where it was created. Multiple instances of Sites WebCenter will be used to create resources, it is possible for two different resources, on separate instances of Sites WebCenter, to have the same local identifier... To identify the resources, the developer tool kit assigns to each resource a unique global identifier (fw_uid), which is unique in all instances of Sites WebCenter"

    Hello Hari,

    If you have a 7.x Sites install on the same database and it is picking up the size of the column in this table to create the table temporary tt? Make sure that your database user has no role DBA or SELECT ANY DICTIONARY (or any other role that allows him to see other patterns).

  • All available UNIQUE authentication mechanism between WebCenter portal and WebCenter Sites - 11.1.1.8.0?

    Hello

    Can someone let me know if there is any solution SSO already existing (as OID/OAM?) to integrate WebCenter portal and WebCenter Sites.

    All links to literature references will be greatly useful.

    Thank you

    Jean Claude

    Hello.

    Integration of Oracle Access Manager with Oracle WebCenter Sites - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.8.0)

    It explains how to set up Sites to use OAM classes to set the same Cookies------authentication process.

    It should be enough to have Sites and the portal under the same SSO solution.

    Kind regards.

  • Oracle Webcenter Sites connection error

    I installed Oracle Webcenter 11 GR 1 material on WebLogic Server 11.1.1.8.0 Sites: 10.3.6.0.

    Installing weblogic is ok also Webcenter sites, but when I try to log in with the url http://IP-adress:port/CS/login , I got the error below:

    Error 404 - not found

    RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol--HTTP / 1.1:

    10.4.5 404 not found

    Server not found anything matching the request URI. No indication is given whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

    If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (refused) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through a configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

    URL http://IP-adress:port/case/login work the beautiful URLS http://IP-adress:port/CS/HelloCS work well

    but impossible to use http://IP-adress:port/CS/login ....

    Someone has an idea?

    Hello

    You may have a delivery facility? If so, the WEM UI is not available. Try http://{server}:{port}/{context}/Xcelerate/LoginPage.html for the Admin UI.

    Kind regards

    Stephan.

  • Cannot open /CS (ContentServer) in environment of delivery in the Webcenter Sites?

    Hello

    I installed webcenter sites 11.1.1.6 on windows 7 using single mode and delivery server environment.

    server_wcs_PRD01 - managed server application is deployed on which CS - port number 7113

    server_cas_PRD01 - managed server application is deployed on which cases - 7115 port number

    The servers are running state as both applications are also in Active state.

    But the problem is that when I type the url of the application cs it throws error as:

    403 - forbidden error

    RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol--HTTP / 1.1:

    10.4.4 403 Forbidden

    The server understood the request, but refuses to fill. Authorization will not help and the request SHOULD NOT be repeated. If the request method was not HEAD and the server wishes to make public why the request has not been met, it SHOULD describe the reason for the refusal in the entity. This status code is commonly used when the server does not want to reveal exactly the reason why the request was refused, or when no other response is applicable

    CASE URL correctly runs without error, the problem is that in CS

    Can someone please help why it is happening then?

    With a fresh installation of delivery that you should still be able to access Admin UI http://host: port/cs/Xcelerate/LoginPage.html (assuming that your Sites webapp was deployed with "cs" as the context root), nothing should be published. The user of the WEM/Contrib interface to http://host: port/cs/ are generally not available for delivery type installation.

    These work

    http:// host:port/cs/HelloCS

    http:// host:port/cs/CatalogManager? ftcmd = pingdb

    Login will redirect to the CAs. The 403 error comes cs or case?

  • WebCenter Sites

    Hello!

    I would like to install Webcenter Sites but I can't find the installer on the Oracle Web site...
    It does not seem to be integrated into Sites Webcenter installation.

    Could someone give the link to download the product?

    Thank you in advance,

    Roman.

    You will find the installers only on edelivery.oracle.com at the moment.

    I don't think that documentation has been officially released yet. You have to contact support or product management for the installation documentation.
