websafe fonts change in design mode, but not in browsers

Ive currently got a website with a font that is extremely difficult to read for my real estate business.  I can change it in dreamweaver very well and shows it in design mode, but when previewing in a browser, it does not work, all comes down to the old horrible police.  Any suggestions here?

Im trying to change the font family

Tahoma, Geneva, sans-serif

Thank you in advance!

There isn't a single h2 heading on each of these pages for example 2001 updated: banks charge...

Other topics (which is worth of payment...) are a mishmash of

labels, labels and styles CSS.

However, the appearance of fonts and Wee in these subheadings is controlled by the extensive use of the technique of font Cufon replacement.

In the Cufon Javascript file.

http://www.definitiveinvestments.ca/js/CUFON-replace.js

the

Police is replaced by Bebas http://www.dafont.com/bebas.font

CUFON. Replace ('h2, h3, .title3 ', {fontFamily: 'Bebas'});

By hard to read, are you referring to the word spacing?

    Hello

    I have a div ID called "portfolio" I see in Design view but not mode live view or on a browser. It's a small pink square and I want that round square also.

    I ran through validator. He picked up a few things in the style.css which I changed and the boilerplate.css I did not. I thought auto DW creates code for mat because I don't fit this code myself.

    Futura is not a "web safe font' (a handful of fonts installed by default on almost all computers) as well as those who have it installed on their machines will be able to see it unless you use the rule of @font-face.

    Otherwise, the second font in your font css family stack is what to replace. At the present time, since you don't have any "stack" defined in your css, police 'serif' default browser is used.

    Here is some info on how to use the rule of @font-face:

    @font-face CSS3 rule

    CSS3 Web fonts

    I have no idea if Futura is allowed to use on Web sites. Not all fonts are licensed for online use and, as I mentioned, I have not installed it, you may need to use a slightly different font somewhere like www.google.com/fonts (free) or www.fontsquirrel.com (paid) to get the effect you want without you opening up to grumpy owners of fonts.

  • agenda seems correct in Design mode, but not in browser or direct mode

    This page http://v23.ancestry.higgsy.co.uk/peterson/peterson_john_frederick.php has a small panel with text begins "in 1965, at the age..."  Design mode the Panel correctly disconnect between the image on it's left margin by 64px (see obit_panel CSS rule) but iin mode in my browser and direct offset is not indeed, see kind people you can why? Thank you very much, David H

    To horizontally Center a container, you need just 3 things:

    1. A valid document type - DW who performs for you when you create a new document.
    2. A width specified in pixels, ems or % which is less than 100%.
    3. A margin-left and margin to the right of auto

    . Center-block { }

    Width: 900px;

    margin: 0 auto;

    }

  • Centers of my web page into design mode, but not when seen online.

    I am new to web design and of course, on this forum.  I had some experience in VBA and Fortran, so when the original designer left, I was the only one in the Organization, ready to attack the site and try to teach me how to do work and keep up-to-date.  We were financially in the Red at the time, so hiring outside help would have been almost impossible.  We break finally even now, which was our objective as a non-profit organization.

    So I got the computer and the responsibility of maintaining the Web site at a non-profit for children in Florida a couple of years ago, and I'm doing fairly well with it so far, even though my level of knowledge is very deep.  AsI has said before, I am completely self-taught, mainly by the method of trial and error, so please excuse what probably is a very basic question.

    My site is FloridaBandTournament.com.

    The site works well enough for my users, but from an appearance point of view, the pages are always on the left side of the screen.  I would like to focus the pages on the screen so that it looks a little better.  They are on a black background - do not know how the background got there, but it works very well for me.  When I tried centering the pages, I googled my way to the statement text-align: center, and after placing a few different places in the code, he suddenly seemed to work, at least in the in Dreamweaver 8 (I also inherited from the software, which is I know is old, but if I'm--will be 70 soon, and make my work free of charge to the Organization).  But when I went to a couple of different browsers, it still shows the site on the left.  I tried Firefox and IE.  I am at a loss to know what to do.

    When I found this forum, I thought that maybe someone could help me figure out what to do to make the balance of the page in a simple way for this old geezer.  I would of course welcome.

    I don't know what I should talk to you, but I thought that if I sent the code in the body, it might be useful.

    The body code is as follows:

    [body

    background-image: url (file:///C|/Documents and Settings/user/Application Data/Macromedia/Dreamweaver 8/configuration/ServerConnections/www/images/background.gif):

    background-color: #000000;

    margin-top: 0px;

    left margin: 0px

    margin-bottom: 0px

    margin-right: 0px

    text-align: center

    ]

    None of the pages in the current site have this code again - I have a page of the trial that I have tested.  The trial page is accessible from the link at the bottom of the 'Links' page to "Show host Infoormation" (the misspelling is temporary and intentianal so I can find the darn test link myself when I want).

    I would be happy to provide any information that could help someone understand what I have and what I'm trying to do, but again, I am self-taught, so I have little understanding of the technical terms.  Of course, I'd appreciate any help.  Thanks in advance.

    Bob

    Obviously first make a back-up of the pages/sec.

    Switch to code view in Dreamweaver and find the html below. Its near the top of the page after the css. You don't need the first table

    so you can remove that. This is the second table that we are interested. Below, I've added id = 'WrapperPage' opening

    Then add to your css styles in the head section of the page.

    {#pageWrapper}

    margin: 0 auto;

    }

    You will need to do this for each page of the site you want centered, that could be a pain if you have a lot of pages.

    As your background image is linked to your local computer it's why you do not have a black background instead:

    {body

    background-image: url (file:///C|/Documents and Settings/user/Application Data/Macromedia/Dreamweaver 8/Configuration/ServerConnections/www/images/background.gif);

    background-color: #000000;

    left margin: 0px;

    margin-top: 0px;

    margin-right: 0px;

    margin-bottom: 0px;

    }

    If you want the image to appear change the link as below:

    {body

    background-image: url(images/background.gif);

    background-color: #000000;

    left margin: 0px;

    margin-top: 0px;

    margin-right: 0px;

    margin-bottom: 0px;

    }

  • [Browser preview] Images showing in design mode, but not in the browser preview

    IM following a tutorial step by step beginners. I have already been able to preview the inserted images in the browser (as an exercise for the first episodes), but when I arrived at this ep.11 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xx6b_ItTATs & list = PLwglS51ddbZEPeURdjLDqFZ4saPGd5EiL & index = 11

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=xx6b_ItTATs & List = PLwglS51ddbZEPeURdjLDqFZ4saPGd5EiL & index = 11

    I can't figured why the image is not displayed and my prewview shows that this placeholder image

    02-02-2014 19-17-02.png

    The strange thing is that, when Im using the navigation function in the code editor (for not manually insert the source of the image) the code resulting has a space after the first quote. You can see here

    02-02-2014 19-14-04.png

    If I remove this space the image does not appear in either Design view

    There is clearly a space or a special character in the name of your folder * images.

    Try to rename Control Panel files of DW (F8).  R. and try to insert the image again.

    If the page that you are connected does not work, then it should so what happens when you try?  It is possible that it could be a simple matter of enable you cookies or try a different web browser.

    You can also try to download the demo version of the software through the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

  • Design mode does not show images or link to CSS

    I use Dreamweaver 5.5 year now but today I changed inadvertently a few settings and design mode is more image display or applying the CSS settings. Some of them are local and others on the Internet - it is not serious. The fundamental problem is that Design view is not tender hand of the source code for posting a link to other files. How to restore this feature?

    All rights, it is necessary to close and re-open Dreamweaver before the display of the external files works. So now I'm back in business, but it would be nice if indicated.

  • Changes in Compatibility Mode will not be changed

    I am trying to disable the Compatibility Mode for a game program, but no matter what I try I can't make the changes stay.  I believe that I am the administrator, but not sure.  Is it possible to tell if I am logged in as admin?  I am running XP with the mode which allows different members of the family log on using their journal to the name (cute image next to the login name).  Again, I am sure that I am the admin.

    Disabling an Application fix

    To disable an application fix

    1. Click Start , click all programs , and then click Application Compatibility Toolkit .

    2. Click Administration tool of compatibility and then under Microsoft Application database , click the program that you want to disable the application fixes for.

    3. In the pane right, right click on the file .exe program and then click disable entry , as shown in Figure 7 below.

  • Color of police present in the Design tab, but not when viewed or downloaded

    This has been me angry the last days and I can't seem to find any info on this subject. I found a site, but they want you to pay a subscription to view the answers. Basically, my question is, when creating a site that I can see the police of colors in the Design tab, but when I download or even look at the page in IE 7 or Firefox the font color is the default value of the page, not what is described in my code (attached) CSS. I'll admit I'm trying a new style of page. I normally do a shell and use iFrames for content, but I wanted to be more search engine friendly so I use Div scrolling layers instead. I don't think that's the question, but I could be wrong. Any help explaining why this is happening and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

    I fixed it. The problem came from a library that I had on the page. I had 3 different styles, he listed, and one of them was style 3 then he drew the color and the make-weight of one as apposed to the style 3 in my CSS of the page. I went to my library and renamed the 3 different numbers and bingo, my policy is that showing red when downloaded.
