• Is there a a way to view again the description field by clicking on the gold star near the url (useful for typing memos on this site)?

  In previous versions of Firefox, when you click on the star next to the url, you can add this site to your Favorites. Another click and you can edit some fields on this bookmark, URL, file, etc...

• Speed of the browser on Storm blackBerry Smartphones

  I use the default BB browser and it seems terribly slow.  Download of the web page from CNET.com, for example, just took 20 seconds.  Should I be concerned?

  I am new to BB, so if anyone has any suggestions about browser use I would be very grateful to have them.

  Don't worry, this isn't anything to worry about.  The browser on the BlackBerry is known to be slow.  Most mobile browsers are no where near as fast as their counterparts in the computer, but some are better than others.  Unfortunately, the BlackBerry browser isn't one of them.

  If you however, there are a few decent browser applications that you can install on your BlackBerry.  Check out Opera Mini, or for experience even faster, take a look at the Bolt browser.  They are not as fully behaved like the stock BlackBerry browser and they take some getting used to, but they are much faster than the official browser (almost comparable to their counterparts of the laptop).

• Field browser rendering problem

  I just discovered the package browser.field of Blackberry and explored the same. However, was not able to find a good tutorial about it. I read somewhere that the sample coupled with the jde can help.

  I solved some of compile errors and run the code, without exception, but with no output.

  I just get a blank on the emulator screen and nothing else. I tried debug code and found that the _mainScreen has a VerticalFieldManager that holds a HTMLBrowserField, but I wonder why it is not made.

  Someone has an idea, please answer...

  Also, if anyone has a better example to explore, it would be really nice...

  I used the example of the BrowserContent and BrowserContentManager classes.

  However, I realized that I had not signed the cod files prior to their execution on the emulator, and so no content has been read. Once I registered to them, he started to work perfectly well.

  I had missed on the signature part of the cod from the JDE himself suggested documentation files:

• After sprite zooming, focus is stuck on the last field of click

  Hi all

  I encountered a very weird problem,

  I had a sprite with zoom, mouse down, mouse move, and mouse event listeners. I mostly try to zoom to the sprite and can move on the sprite.

  After the zoom of the sprite, if I do not click on any field, fine; However, if I click on any fields such as label, textbox, etc.. Looks like this field clings to my finger, anywhere, I click on the screen, the field always moved to this new point of click. And the script will be nervous receive mouse event.   Found work around it.

  The reason for high level sprite has not received mouse event because there's a scrollpane on the leprechaun and somehow, it's eat this mouse event.

  Work is about: Add a mouse until the listener of events on the scroll pane and send back the sprite event directly.

• Weird message when clicking on the internet (IE, FIREFOX and CHROME)

  When I want to connect to the internet with or any of the foregoing, I get this message.

  I click on it and open the browser, I have chosen, no problem.
  I have a problem do not have audio in CHROME. and decided to uninstall/reinstall. Unfortunately, I think, I downloaded the program which turns out to be is not the official site of GOOGLE and the toolbars that ensued in the application. The audio is fine in IE and Firefox.
  First, I had problems uninstalling the toolbars of the Control Panel, and there is always one that just won't uninstall (MySearchDial).
  I ran Microsoft Security Scanner, which showed no any virus, malware etc. I'm running MSE, updated daily.
  Again, I cannot uninstall the application MySearchDial - even in Safe Mode, so I guess that's the root of the Run DLL missing or damaged.
  The pc I have is a custom PC SPECIALIST UK version I received in 13 Dec.
  ASUS H81M-E motherboard, Intel Core i5-4670 processor Dual - DDR Kingston 8 GB, NVidia GeForce GT 630, 500 GB WD Caviar hard drive memory.
  Running Win 7 SP 1 (build 5160) Home Premium.
  The machine works perfectly but this glitch is very annoying.
  Someone at - it an idea of the solution to this problem.

  Can you explain what you mean by this question?  I don't know what is the engine of the browser.

  But until the 4.5 OS, an Explorer has been used, to 4.6 and above the other was introduced (called mango) and 6.0, WebKit is used.  Is that what you want?

• Passwords in browser not displaying blackBerry Smartphones

  I have a BlackBerry Torch 9800 and recently I had a problem with the words on the screen of the browser does not.  I have not modified parameters or downloaded all the programs I can think of that would have caused the problem.  It mainly effects words having a hypertext link, but some pages is not any type at all.

  Start with a battery pull.  That's where you remove your battery when your phone is turned on, then replace.  It's good to solve many little glitches like this.

• Icon browser for Smartphones blackBerry under the clock

  My wifes phone has a yellow globe that looks like the icon of the browser with the number 1 next to it.  It is just under the clock on the home screen. She thinks she something of my favorites, but we can't find delete.  Any ideas of what it is or how to get rid of?

  It is a browser notification.  To clear the notification, go to the folder main message, press menu, view the folders and choose wap push messages, clear this check box.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Ever since my new software update, I can't use my browser on my blackberry torch!

  Last night, I downloaded the new update of the blackberry software. When I go to the update of the software screen, it says "latest version 6.0 package 2647.»

  I have apprently went from bundled software version 6.0 2342, at bunder 2647.

  I was not able to use my browser since the update, and I do not have wifi.

  Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

  (1) registry HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

  (2) remove and return Service directories

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

  (3) restart to take batt

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your provider of wireless services for formal support.

  This should solve your problem. If this is not the case, make sure that you are not infected with malware. Run an antri-virus program (Microsoft Security Essentials is free and a great antivirus app).

• When you edit a composition in the browser, click the button is there but does nothing.

  I'm testing a site in my browser edition a publication. I see edit it and click the buttons on the triggers, but the click button does not take me to his bed or a link.
