What address info iMessaging uses to communicate between devices?

I wonder if anyone knows what info address is used (required) to transmit messages between Apple devices.  Is - this phone number or email address?  I have an iPad and exchanged messages with other iPads and also successfully iPhones.  iPads do not use telephone numbers (that I know) and iPhones need phone numbers and e-mail addresses to perform their multiple functionality.  Also, whence the iMessaging app get it is coordinated with and how does he know if a specific contact is able to use the function iMessaging?  Also, I have a contact who is an iPhone user and I can't send the contact a message successfully.  What would prevent that from happening?

Let's see if I can hit all your questions.

  • iPads use e-mail addresses, iPhone uses the e-mail addresses and phone numbers.
  • If you have an iPhone and an iPad the iPad can use the phone number.
  • The iMessage application uses your contact app.
  • Apple maintains a database of iMessage of all devices that can use iMessage (this includes the iOS and OS X devices). When you send a message from your device queries this database.
  • Update of the Apple database when your turn on iMessage on your iPad. the iPad sends a message to the server. For iPhones, iMessage on the phone sends an SMS "invisible" to an Apple server to the United Kingdom for his phone number.
  • If there is an iPhone that you can not send to either the owner has not enabled iMessage, or that it doesn't clog you, accidentally or deliberately.

  • Using Gre Tunnel between devices on the same LAN

    Hello world

    When we need to use the Gre Tunnel on same side means on 2 devices to each other on the LAN?

    Whats is advantage of using GRe Tunnel on LAN?

    Thank you

    MAhesh

    In general, GRE tunnel is not on the same side/network.

    It serves to connect 2 networks and to get through the traffic.

    GRE advantage is that it can participate in routing protocols, then it becomes a little jump through the tunnel instead of several jumps across different devices. As a result, the GRE is also used for tunnel traffic that is not natively supported by these devices where the type not supported traffic cannot pass through.

  • iMessage does not sync between iPhone, Mac Mini, MacBook Air

    My main computer is: Mac Mini (mid-2011), El Capitan 10.11.1 (B 15, 42)

    My secondary computer is: MacBook Air (13 inch, mid-2012), El Capitan 10.11.1 (B 15, 42)

    And my iPhone is: iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.1 (B 13, 143)

    iMessage used to sync between my iPhone and my computers very well. I was also able to answer incoming calls on my iPhone with computers. It seems that, just at the time I upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan (or maybe iOS 9.1) synchronization no longer works. I tried pretty much everything I read on the forums, but nothing works. When I go into SETTINGS, MESSAGES and TRANSMISSION of MESSAGE TEXT on my iPhone and select the Mac Mini or MacBook Air, it will activate the program MESSAGES on the computer, but it won't send a code.

    I intend to get a prepaid Sim Card for my iPhone 6 s when I travel in Europe in a few weeks.  I wonder if I still have iMessages since most of the people that iMessage use me my (Verizon) cell phone number.  I get all the iMessages on my iPad and computer laptop too through my e-mail, so I guess that the two e mail and cell number are used by the ap.  In addition, what happens to my iMessage when I come back and turn on my regular sim card?

    You will not be able to get the iMessages as when you put in the new SIM card, your iPhone to record with a new number. You can add e-mail addresses to your address list under which you are reachable, then iMessages sent one of these e-mail addresses.

    There should be no blocking communication between the host of the EMI and your SMTP server. Check if the communication is fine.

  • What is the best way to communicate my displeasure with new features?

    TL; How can Dr. I complain to FireFox on the new search bar in new tabs? (Or other news)

    I saw a question or two about this new feature here already, and it is obvious that the developers of FireFox are not really interested in what their users think of this feature.

    The function I want to talk about is the new search bar in the new tab.

    I tried a fix mentioned in a previous post (create a subdirectory "Chrome" and create a CSS file that contains commands to specific style) and it did not work. I tried a few other corrections mentioned on other websites as well, does not.

    Knowing that FireFox would add something like this without allowing an option to disable it is pretty discouraging. I've been enjoying my daily use of FireFox on other browsers that I had used in the past because they were crowded and unclean, and FireFox was not at the time. This search bar ruined who. My pinned tabs were crushed about half of their original size, and the search bar is unsightly, at best.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we already have a search at the top of the screen bar? I don't see any purpose in this area, except in the gene users. If there is another use, please inform me (although to be completely honest, it will not change my opinion here, although it can mitigate the damage)

    Still, there have been very few features in FireFox that I was unhappy, and each of them was immediately followed by an add-on to turn them off (or they came with an option to disable their release)

    I'm not here asking for help on how to remove the search bar, I plead here for a link that I can use to communicate directly to the developers of FireFox to my opinions about this update.

    On a third party site, I read an article that made one of the developers made mention of an option for users to disable this search bar... According to the article, he has never received response.
    Which reminds me, if FireFox won't listen to his own team, we expect they are listening?

    I'm pretty close simply leaving FireFox because of this feature, because now it is little better than what I have left in the past. PaleMoon was nice, although a little more slowly.

    I'm not saying I'll stop using FireFox, only I'm quite put out because of what I read and the lack of an option to disable this feature.

    If such an option exists already, please give me instructions on how to do it and then well want to ignore this request.

    Thank you for taking the time to read this and have a nice day.

    R.E. - newTab search bar

    My guess is that by Firefox 34 or 35, the search bar in the Navigation toolbar won't go away. But before that, some kind of 'widget' should be added to allow the user to choose between their search engine installed various plugins.

    After all, how many places should a user have a 'search bar '?
    Why waste space on the navigation bar when the user can 'search' in the address bar and the subject: House and about: newtab pages.

    Create a text file named userContent.css and who put in the newly created folder /chrome/ in the profile folder.

    @-moz-document url(about:newtab) {

  • Communicate between extension html and c ++ plugin

    Hi all

    I'm developing an extension html for InDesign CC2014. There is a scenario where I need to communicate between the extension and the C++ InDesign plugin.

    I followed the instructions at http://wwwimages.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/cs-extension-builder/pdfs/CC_Extens ion_SDK.pdf and wrote on the extension of the code part. The part c ++ code has not changed since the Flex versions, so no problems there.

    I tried to call the extension of the plugin and it worked. I recorded an event in the plugin to listen to and sent another event of the plugin. But the Committee does not seem to listen to or distribute any type of event. On the part c ++ plugin, the error of registration codes and send returned were codes of success, so the problem is not with the plugin.

    Here's the code for the html Panel,

    I save the event to listen to at the time of the loading of the page.

    function onLoaded() {
        var csInterface = new CSInterface();

     // Register the named event handler
      csInterface.addEventListener("com.mypluginevent.test", myEventHandler);

    }
    //Create a named event handler callback function
    function myEventHandler(event)
    {
      alert("Event captured!");
    }

    // This function is called on a button click
    function onClick()
    {
      // Create your local CSInterface instance
      var csInterface = new CSInterface();
      var event = new CSEvent("com.myhtmlevent.test", "APPLICATION");

      event.data = "This is a test!";
      csInterface.dispatchEvent(event);
    }

    Here's the part C++ code where I send the event "com.mypluginevent.test".

    csxs::event::Event event = {"com.mypluginevent.test",
                                  csxs::event::kEventScopeApplication,
                                  "myEventHandler",
                                  NULL,
                                  NULL};

    csxs::event::EventErrorCode err = sdkPlugPlugInstance.DispatchEvent(&event);

    I always get a hit on the dispatch of the event, but the extension intercepts her.

    Can someone tell what I am doing wrong?

    Hello

    I don't know if it will help but take a look at the documentation for CC 2014 (rather than the CC 2013 docs you use): official Adobe Extension SDK Documentation for 2014 CChttp://adobe.ly/1rin38t>

    Best regards

  • What is required to use a headset Logitech h110 with a Mac Mini?

    I plugged in two different Logitech h110 helmets to the Mac mini. One of them is brand new from its packaging.

    Nor, we record the entry levels of the microphone of the headset, as indicated on the screen Preferences sound.

    Other applications are also any audio input either.

    What is required to use a headset Logitech h110 with a Mac Mini?

    http://www.Amazon.com/STARTech-com-headsets-separate-headphone-microphone/DP/B00 4SP0WAQ/ref = pd_bxgy_147_img_2? ie = UTF8 & refRID = 0J342KYWVKRQFFXA4WPY

    It will also depend on the model of your MacMini, info provided you no, only the most recent models can use this type of adapter.

    You have purchased helmets designed for s PC not Mac.

  • Using variables shared between the different versions of labview

    Hello

    I look at the use of variables shared between two different versions of LabVIEW. We have a 2 of the PXI system and a single PC. We are currently updating the code on the PXI system to 2014, but the PC still work 8.2.1. We now need a map of ARINC-429, which is executed only 2009 +, that is why we are to day. First tests show that shared variables do not communicate between the two. I think that the reason may be that the PXI running the version of variable motor 2014 shared, while the PC is running 8.2.1, but I don't know if it is precisely for this reason it does not work. Is there a way to communicate between two different versions of LabVIEW with shared Variables?

    Thank you!

    SOLUTION

    There are two key elements in the process of installing software that are essential for PXI to communicate with another version of LabVIEW: Legacy Server Support Variable and Variable Support of Legacy Protocol. The first, in charge of the Protocol, was automatically installed through the selection of the other ingredients (although I do not know which triggered its installation). The second has been nested in the Protocol, but was not selected automatically.

    The Protocol allows the PXI 2014 connect to shared variables hosted by devices 8.6 or an earlier versions, while the server allows before 2009 devices to communicate to shared variables hosted on PXI of 2014 (which was the initial problem)!

  • What do you guys use of speed controls

    Hi all

    I have swpped my D - Link DIR-855 for a Linksys EA6500 and you want to check the overall speed.

    I use in my network devices as well as WiFi. I guess that speed controls should show the difference between wired devices, the devices connected to the Wifi or WiFi on a device of current line. www.Speedtest.NET does not seem to show this difference.

    What do you use to show the difference between LAN to the internet or LAN to NAS connection speeds?

    Kind regards

    The place for this info is in the HTTP User-Agent header.

    If you look at a trace from the BB browser hit a web site, you will see how it is formatted.

    Excerpt from the KB article:

    The server that hosts the application can examine these headers to get the necessary information. The User-Agent header supplied by the browser is in the format: BlackBerry/. For example, BlackBerry8800/4.2.1.
