WHAT ARE THE ADDRESSES COLLECTED VS, STAFF ADDRESS BOOK

I understand the difference between collected addresses, OTHER books addresses, personal address book, mailing lists.
How and when should I use each of the above.

Personal book is for contacts that you use frequently. Collected book collects the e-mail addresses that you send.

Address book instructions can be found here.

  • What does Time Machine to the top of the address book?

I use OS X El Capitan (10.11.5) and AddressBook application.

I created a bunch of groups in the address book and must have one accidentally deleted because he disappeared. I use Time Machine and it seems to be compatible with the address book, so I thought I could just go back to an older version, but I can't seem to make it work.

If I enter Time Machine from the address book application, I see the old backups to return indefinitely. I have chosen one a week ago and restored, but I don't see the old group. In fact, there are always new groups that I just created today.

So I did not understand what actually have backed up by Time Machine. Is this just backup contact records, but not groups?

When I restore, it restores the entire database or just a folder that I'm looking?

Thanks in advance for any suggestion or advice!

  • What is the < address > tag?

What is the < address > tag?

    Is it for SEO?

I think he's just here to put an address in.  Nothing complicated.

If you are a business site in some countries, it might even be a requirement to publish details of the commercial premises.  Some people think that either, a site seems more professional if you included from the outset, information on society like that and I also read in other forum of discussion that he might make the site look a little seedy, if you don't include it.   If you did that, then I guess you should paste the address between

tags.  If you don't like the default style then, nothing wrong with changing that.

Admittedly I am still learning much about the whole picture and if the way I am going about it, mainly referring to using CSS to style most everything, is a bad practive please tell me so.

    Thank again.

The best practice part is to separate style from structure so no, I don't think that you are doing anything wrong at all.  HTML is the structure of your page so it's the way you add and arrange content.  CSS is the style of the page and it's where you add style and positioning.  Generally, my approach is to add as little code as possible in either HTML or CSS so for me I try to reduce code.  Two reasons a) I get confused the more complicated it gets and b) if can grasp it I think the browsers might grasp it too!

  • Photo, what are the criteria for images selected from the collections of photos?

With Photo on my Mac when I'm in the view "of the years', I see all my photos. When I switch to 'Moments' I see all the photos, especially older. When I go to "collections", then I self pictures? What are the criteria for images selected in 'collections' of photos? Thank you

You should see all the photos in the Moments, the years, Collections, unless you have the "Summarize" option enabled in Photos > Preferences > General.  Then some pictures will be omitted, but the rules are not documented.

    Hello

I'm trying to verify the maximum size of the address book for OS 4.6.

and I downloaded 30362 contact up to now on my 9000 "BOLD".

Please can you let me know what can be the maximum size of the address book.

    Thank you

    Neev.

    Hello Neev,

There is no coded limit hard for contacts in address book to my knowledge. As long as the device has enough memory, you can add as many contacts as you like.

Just keep in mind that you don't want to let yourself get too low for some reason any.

Here's an article that might be of interest for the management of the memory of your device:

  • After uninstalling Lightroom 6.3 (perpetual license) what is the address of the Adobe site to download Lightroom 6.4 (perpetual license)?

When I try to upgrade Lightroom 6.3 (perpetual license) to Lightroom 6.4 (perpetual license), I can't compete the upgrade process and receive a notice of error Code U44M1P7. It is my understanding that I have to uninstall Lightroom 6.3 and then download Lightroom 6.4. Am I wrong? If I'm not mistaken, what is the address of the Adobe site to download Lightroom 6.4? Thank you for your help.

You can use the link below. If you uninstall you will need to download LR6; then download the 6.4 update. Re-install is often recommend if there is update problems. Otherwise, you can try the update from another account of users with administrator privileges and then switch back to your normal user account.

  • Is there a way to specify which fields are displayed in the "new contact" window in the address book, or at least highlight those that are important to me?

It would be nice if I could put together the fields in the "new contact" window in the address book, or at least highlight those that I need with bold or a different color. Is there a way? Thank you.

Thank you for your reply, I tried already with this addon. Unfortunately this would not help me.

  • How to open the address book in the address book already used?

Previous versions of ThunderBird would open for the last opened address book address books. Now, it always opens to the gathered addresses. Can I make it open to the specific address book that I used last time?

If you use the latest version 38.2.0
Previously, the 'address book' would always open on the default "personal address book" value as it was the top of the list.

Then, after many requests by a group of people who wanted to be able to search all their address books in a go, a virtual address book called "All address books" was created.

This meant it would always default to opening on the ' address books all the "whenever you opened the 'address book' even in the same session of thunderbird.
A bug request has been filed requesting the opportunity to be able to establish a default address book of choice, and it is developing.

At the same time, we discovered that the window 'write' Contacts Sidebar me remember a selected address book providing Thunderbird had not been closed - only not forget in this session. Thus, they are also looking to set a default address for this as well, so that Contacts sidebar does not auto by default to "All address books" every time thunderbird is closed and the end of the session.

The ' address books all the ' currently showing all of all your books address including "collected addresses".

  • Add address of the sender to the address book using filtaquilla?

When the sender is not in the address book, I want to give the user an option to add it. Is this possible with filtaquilla?

There is a filter action, provided by FiltaQuilla, to "Add sender to the address list", and among all the proposed locations, your address books are included.

But I see no way easy to offer the user a dialog to allow him to choose or not to do. Perhaps a javascript maven could do something here.

Any sender can easily be added to the address book by clicking on its name/address in the header of the received message. Maybe you can use a filter just to highlight the messages from unknown senders in order to prompt the user to consider adding to their address book. Or you can create a saved search to collect such messages. Then, their mere presence in this saved search folder would indicate their status is unknown.

  • I do not see my addresses in the address book

    Hello

I just reinstalled Windows 7 Pro (I had to) and I managed to reinstall Thunderbird, then point it to my existing profile as my email now displays correctly.

The problem is that my address book seems to be empty now. I checked and my abook.mab and history.mab files are located and have content (13.1 K and 16.8 K respectively) have been dated to shortly before the reinstall. When I bring my address book, however, it seems empty.

Is there something more I should do to get my address book will display correctly?

Unfortunately I don't have an exported backup or anything sensitive like that.

In which case it is important:

    Windows 7 Professional
    Thunderbird 31.4.0

I don't know if the version of Thunderbird I was running was a little different than that I just installed. My previous version of Thunderbird has been reasonably aware.

There is a possibility that you have more than one profile. Look at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb#w_how-to-find-your-profile and then look in the same directory to see if there is another * file *.default.

If so, see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-multiple-profiles to switch to another profile, and search for your address book. If you find, export using the LDIF format and then switch your main profile and import addresses.
NOTE: no matter what name you give the exported address file becomes the name of the address book when you import it!

Still no joy? Watch abook.mab with Notepad; It is a text file. Browse down to see if you have your address book entries.

Let me know what you find.

  • How to delete an address that appears, but is not in the address book.

Sometimes when I address a message I see three identical correct addresses and a former who is no good. How can I remove all but one of the addresses? They do not appear in the contact information of the person or the address book list. Thank you, Marty

Suggestions come from one of your address books. You have two default in Thunderbird. Staff and collected books. Find the addresses of problem and difficulty, or delete them.

  • I want that my second acc't of e-mail to have its own name in the address book and contacts list and to rename the address book

I don't want to mix the personal contacts with business contacts. I like a second tab addresses to show when I have my business address opened in 'inbox '.

The personal book and collected books are the books of two default cannot be deleted, and suggested DO NOT rename them.

When you select this option to add a contact to an address book by clicking the star next to the address it will add to the personal address book. You can click on the star again to open the dialog box modify and change to place the contact in the address book.

The collected book collects addresses for outgoing messages.

There is no function by default to collect addresses of incoming e-mail.

Just to keep the terminology straight, Thunderbird has address books and mailing lists.
You can create new address books in the address book window by selecting file-new-address book.

You can create mailing lists within address books to use for distribution groups. The contact must exist in the address book where the mailing list is created to be added to the list. You create a mailing list by clicking on the button new list.

  • Why won't save the addresses I enter the address book?

Since we had Thunderbird, we were not able to add all of the addresses in the address book. Strange thing is, we added an address when we started, and the address is saved! But after that and since then, no other addresses are saved when add us them. Here's what happens: we add a new contact, enter the information and click OK. Thunderbird is always open, contact seems to be stored in the address book and can be accessed. But as soon as Thunderbird is closed and reopened, the address disappears and we are left with only only one address, that we've added when we started and nothing more. I hope someone can help with this!

Menu (Alt + H) help > troubleshooting information
    Click the display folder.
    Close Thunderbird
    In windows Explorer open
    Abook.MAB and rename it abook.mab.old.
    Restart Thunderbird and try again.
