  • On the old computer, launch Photoshop and click Help (Win) or Photoshop (Mac) > Deactivate
  • You can let the software installed but disabled, or you can uninstall. Your choice. It is not usable unless it is enabled.
  • On the new computer, install the software from the disc or download and it should activate automatically during installation. When you are finished, click Help (Win) or Photoshop (Mac) and if you see a menu called Deactivate option, then you know that it is enabled.

  If your laptop has a version of Windows OEM, it cannot be moved to another computer. If a product is 'Full' of the Retail version and assumnig you have a valid product key, then Yes you can move. Retail 'Upgrade' version requires CD (which you own) of Windows 98 or ME, to complete the upgrade.

  If they Develop Presets then John method works. However, if they are saved by default camera using the command Set Default Settings... then you will need to copy the folder "Defaults" Camera Raw overall.

  The files are located in the Users\ directory ~ \Library\Application Support\Adobe\CameraRaw\Defaults subfolder (Mac). Under Windows, they are in the Documents and the Data Data\Adobe\CameraRaw\Defaults

  Do not attempt to move anything from one machine to the other.  Just use the disk and the serial number, you will need to install on the new machine.  You are allowed to have two facilities enabled, so you can keep the original as a backup, if you prefer.  If not, the minimum you need to do is to disable the original in order to free activation for another use (open the program and choose Help-> Deactivate)
