  So, I'm an intern and I am applying in the APEX, and there's another student here who made the same request, but then for Android. It uses SQLite as a database (because it is a lightweight database), and I use the database to Oracle 11 g, which is used in the APEX. My request is already hosted online (via oracle.apex.com), so the database is online as well.
  
  Now, I have done some research, but I have never met a useful answer.
  
  Is someone here can tell me if this is really possible?
  As in, can synchronize my Oracle 11 g database and its SQLite database?
  
  Please, just a "Yes, it is possible", or a "no, won't it be able to do' will do. But if you say yes, and you also happen to know how, so any suggestions would be welcome. ;)

  I installed Apex on 10g express. BY using the object browser, I can browse only a local database as "XE".
  But I have an another 2, 3 databases in different servers. I know how to connect using the database link and question.
  But the question is when I want to write a query, I need to specify the database sid/instance always as below... which is so difficult, as I have write lengthy queries...
  
  Select * from table_s@testdb t1, table_d@testdb t2;
  
  Similarly, I have db sid anywhere in the query which is a little difficult.
  If I do not mention this; then he said: table or view does not exist...
  How can I overcome this problem...? It is the nature of the apex or can I change the default local database instance to whatever the PB I want to and question directly without passing the instance name?

• APEX submit changes to the database when the value is changed in Javascript?

  IM new at the Apex and use v4.1.
  
  What I want to do, is to have a tabular presentation that will have 5 fields and a number of fields only reading based on a SQL table & reviews, when a user updates one of the 5 fields entry I want to save the change to the databases automatically.
  
  I thought that this could be done using Ajax and Javascript, but my knowledge is not at a high enough level to make it work.
  
  I think what I need to do:
  
  1 create an AJAX callback process (say its called "Submit Changes") - it comes to PL SQL that will update the database based on the value of the field that was changed. I think that this will require the number of line in table form to pass in.
  
  2. create a header HTML with Javascript code that calls the recall AJAX process - I found the below on the net, but do not think that I changed it correctly:

  just a quick thought: I myself remember in 3.x days by using a process with a space name did not work (at least when I was trying to use), I have always since then named such with underscores in the... IE: submit_changes the two (the name of the process in the apex) and the reference of the code in javascript

  Hi Godis-Tei,

  It is easy to explain.

  (1) I don't know what are the instructions you follow, but it seems to suggest that you create a separate tablespace for APEX.  Not a bad suggestion, but in your case, since you are new, you should be able to simply use the existing SYSAUX tablespace.

  (2) you are prompted for an additional argument because you have not specified all necessary parameter values when calling apexins.sql.  I suggest that you run again, and with the following arguments:

  sysaux sysaux @apexins is temp

  The problem is that you have specified a different page than the page of connection (due to which your login page used the builtin page). During the passage of the authentication, you must specify that 101 is indeed your login page (disabled by default)

  Here's a screenshot of it.

  So, in your workspace, choose current change, choose the authentication name and when you get to this screen tick the checkbox and submit. You should be prompted for your login page (which corresponds to the theme). This should solve the problem.
