What does a padlock icon next to my main Inbox folder?

I use Thunderbird to manage my email and cannot connect the server of the provider. I can connect with another device and directly on the internet. I remember this icon of a padlock next to the front main folder. Could be my problem?

A lock next to the account means that Thunderbird has this account set in place to use encryption (SSL/TLS) to connect to the remote server.

If you are not able to access it, it could be that your settings are false, for instance configured to use SSL/TLS, but the server does not support or you have an incorrect address / configured port.

Find out what encryption settings provider they support and check that Thunderbird is configured to use: look in the account settings, then the server settings.

  • What happened to the padlock icon in the lower corner right?

When I order the items online, I'd like to see this padlock icon in the lower right of the window. I thought that this meant that the site was secure. Now I just see the Fox head icon. I don't know if it's safe. Is it?

Everything is fine with firefox, but I don't know if this function has been deleted or moved elsewhere. It provided a sense of comfort see the lock icon on the sites where I was ordering elements.

In Firefox 4 and later you no longer have the Status bar which showed the padlock in previous versions of Firefox.

The padlock shows only that there is a secure connection and does not guarantee that you are connected to the right server.

So you could always be connected to the wrong server if you make a typing mistake in the URL and someone said that mistyped the URL.

    Hi Jamie

The green dots are probably coming in a third-party program.

Some backup programs, such as Carbonite, will overlap at a point of color icons of file or program to show the status of backup of this element. In addition, some abtivirus programs will use these points of overlay icon.

Most of the programs will be an option to turn off the icons.

    I hope this helps.

I'm new to lightroom. I downloaded a bunch of files from my Mac HD. There is a question mark next to each one. What does that mean?

    Thanks for the update.

Question mark on these files means that you must be moved/renamed/deleted files on your hard drive where they were originally.

When you import an image in Lightroom, it does not matter the original copy of the image instead it saves to the original location when you import or where you copy the image using Lightroom and it always refers to this place.

So if you want to move or rename these images, you should do it in Lightroom instead of outside of Lightroom.

Now, if you know the current location of these images on your hard drive, you must move them into Lightroom.

  • The padlock icon indicating that a website is safe never appears on sites like paypal or my bank sites. How will I know if it's safe for me to use?

I'm moving to use IE8 for Mozilla Firefox. When I access my banking Web sites and Paypal on IE8, the secure lock icon always appears next to the address. When I try to use FF, none of the Web sites show all icons padlock secure, so I'm afraid to connect to these Web sites using this browser.
This sounds really weird as I thought FF was supposed to be safer. If the padlock icon does not appear, should I refrain to connect to these sites?

Check the extended certificate of Validation is much more important than a padlock icon, which can be "faked" by a Web site.

The current versions of Firefox appear, so if you don't see something wrong with your user profile Firefox.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the lock is there. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables some settings and disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

(If you are using an additional theme, place you in default theme.)

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Mode without failure of Firefox in the Help menu by clicking on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item:

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  • How to make the component from the tree to remove the icon next door

    Hello

I need to change the default behavior for the tree component when based on a table.
By default, it shows essentially an icon ' arrow ' next to the nodes visited (but not yet explored), even if these nodes are leaves and cannot be expanded more.
In this case, the user might think that these nodes contain the subtrees when they are not actually. The only way to make the icon disappear is to force exploration of the node by clicking on the element node.

What is the easiest way to change this behavior in the tree?

    Thank you.

    Hello

There is no other easy solution that does not show icons at all (that you can do through the counting). For performance reasons, ADF does not check if the number of children on all nodes in tree and instead pretended to be records. One option would be to build your own model of tree, but so is not 'simple and declarative.
