What happened to Lightroom 6?
I bought Lightroom 6 a week ago and were widely used.
It was supposed to be much faster and more effective than 5 Lightroom, but after a week of use I went back to Lightroom 5.7 – LR6 slowed my workflow almost to a halt.
Import is twice as slow, images rendering takes forever and a day and the edition I have to do a step at a time, because the image becomes black when the changes are executed. In addition to this, it crashes immediately.
What happens here?
Just disable the GPU using LR support / Prefs / shows / uncheck CPU-graphics-use.
On my 5 year old computer I had to do that because it was slow and stuttery and gives me a black screen an once-in-a-while.
On my 1 year old computer GPU support makes things a little faster.

I have an old imac 27' with mac os 10.7.
I try creative cloud and lightroom 5. It works perfectly... But what happens with lightroom 6?
It's pretty simple. 6 Lightroom will not work on OS 10.7. See ightroom.html http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2015/01/update-on-os-support-for-next-version-of-l

I have a subscription of 5 Lightroom but also started a trial of CC. If I cancel the trial of CC, what happens to the pictures that I have developed in CC? I'll be able to go back to 5 Lightroom or updgrade to Lightroom 6 and keep the photos developed in the CC of the trial?
Your photos are your photos. They are yours to do with what you want when you want.
You mustn't lose all photos by unsubscribing. However, it is always a good idea to save the images on another drive anyway.

What happened to the Lightroom Beta 5 forum? Deleted, merged, or archived?
What happened to the Beta 5 Lightroom forum? I understand that LR5.2 is now in full version, but it would be nice if the Beta forum has been locked and archived for consultation. It seems completely deleted, so that a few comments detailed by myself and other beta testers. (I don't find it if it is archived, in any case.) None of my contributions to the forum LR5Beta a lot, a lot are listed in my tab "Content" in my profile Adobe. What happens if my copy of lightroom is damaged that I lose my changes, is there a way to write the changes to the image files so that they are there when I opened in other programs like photoshop, nikon view etc.
See you soon
Warren
Lightroom changes are always stored in the catalog, but return it to the top.
Also you can save the changes in xmp (embedded or file) and then by choosing metadata-> Save... - save files containing the xmp.
Nikon View etc can see that Lightroom changes via RGB files exported (as Lightroom cannot see that NX2 changes via "exported" RGB files), but Photoshop can see Lightroom edits, automatically if you edit via Lightroom, but outside of Lightroom, it will read changes to xmp, so save as described above. Similarly, DNG Profile Editor can read edits in Lightroom, but only from xmp (DNG Profile Editor is not integrated into Lightroom as Photoshop, but it has * some * smarts Adobe Camera Raw as the two Photoshop Lightroom & (he can't make PV2012 edits yet, but soon...)).
See you soon,.

Q -? What happens to the catalog LR-4 when upgrading to LR - 6?
Plan to spend at imminent LR - 6.
Seat of LR-4 current catalog in iMac, 1 TB, 16 GB of Ram desktop applications, implemented to date in / running ver El Capitan OSX 10.11.4
LR-4 original bought and installed by using disk. (loved the simple disk of re - install, if I had a problem/crash)
Do not run Hrly time machine back-up PC to a separate hard drive Seagate >
(not the stand alone LaCie hard drives / duplicate, containing all my indexed * raw + Jpg + LR-Treaty Jpg photo) in case of crash.
Understand the LR - 6.5 more recent/current version will read new XQD NEF raw files? & are now without disc, requiring direct download online?
(* I do for security/peace of mind, where I've already lost the LR-4 catalogue for some reason any)
What happens to my current catalog of the LR-4 when I download LR - 6, 5?
Fact he skillfully but simply to assimilate my old catalogue LR-4 but with all the enhanced features of LR - 6?
Am I worrying about nothing, being too careful again?
Hi ashleyk,.
When you install Lightroom 6 and open your Lightroom Catalog for the first time, Lightroom will be asked to update.
Note the latest version of 6.5.1.See keeping updated in Lightroom
Select Yes and you will have all the images, fixtures in the new version. For more information, see How to create and manage catalogs in Photoshop Lightroom .
So nothing will be lost and your catalog of Lighroom 4 is left intact after the upgrade.
About the XQD card, if your operating system recognizes the card XQD, Lightroom can read the data about them.
Hope that helps.
Kind regards

Whenever I open a creative cloud application adobe (such as Photoshop, Flash, AfterEffects etc.) it takes so long to open, and then after a few seconds, it freezes and I have to close the application ("force quit"). What happens here? Thank you
If it's all programs of cc,
Uninstall (properly using the uninstall programs) all cc
clean through the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems
Restart your computer
Reinstall the cc desktop application, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and use the app to install your programs of cc.
If it's only some programs of cc who are broken, reset their preferences-

I lost some of the folders in the library. They exist in the Explorer solutions, but somehow got removed from the library. I can bring them back in but I'm afraid it will happen again in LR. Please help me understand what happened and how can I prevent the recurrence. I use Win7.
A few possibilities:
1 > you click with the right button on the files and chose to remove them from Lightroom.
2 > you have created a new catalog, and records that are not part of another catalog.
Each of these scenarios seem like they could be a possibility?

What happens with the Dehaze adjustments during the transition from CC LR6?
Hello
I use LR CC for a year, but for my personal use (do not use PS at all), it is not sensible to continue in this way.
I would switch to LR6, which does not include the cursor "Dehaze."
What happens to my catalogue after this switch?
The pictures that I have already edited will be even more "washed out / misty", or that they will keep their current appearance, only that I won't be able to change more?
Are there risks with regard to the compatibility and stability due to switching of CC to LR6?
Another question: are there any other restrictions with the Windows program (in order not to count mobile / Cloud / etc) in LR6 compared to the CC (meaning in addition to Dehaze)?
Thank you and best regards,
R.
Hi icarus,.
Your catalog will remain that is after that proceed to Lightroom 6 and all your changes will be kept however, you will not be able to apply dehaze more edits since that option would be eliminated.
6 of Lightroom is also compatible and stable as Lightroom CC.
There is no other limitation with Windows program outside the Dehaze slider and the Mobile version.
Kind regards
Claes

If I subscribe to CC now, what happens when I get a new PC
Hello.
I use Ps CS6 and Lightroom 5.
I put buy Photoshop/Lightroom CC because I need to upgrade my desktop PC. I also use a MacBook Pro laptop.
If I agree with CC and download Ps and Lr to my existing PC now, what happens when I get a new PC?
You can have the creative cloud installed and signed in on two computers as long as you don't use it on one at a time.
Download and install as you did on the first computer, sign in to your Adobe account on the Adobe using your Adobe ID website, download the desktop app from clouds, then download the software.
You can download the installer for Creative Cloud from here:
Creative cloud help | Creative cloud desktop. After you install the creative Cloud desktop application, you will need to sign in with a login password and Adobe. Then you can install applications. This link provides more information and step by step instructions, if you need: CC help | Download, install, update or uninstall applications
If you get a new computer, simply log out of creative cloud over one of the other and log on to the new. Connect, disconnect you and | Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app

What happens if I stop and restart a cc membership
I'm not interested in a subscription to CC, but looks like it may be my only option. What happens if I sign up and cancel my subscription after a few months, then re - subscribe a few months later? My libraries LR presets, collections, etc. will still be in tact? There are cancellation fees or other penalties? As an infrequent occasional user, this pourrait to be an option.
I'm not interested in a subscription to CC, but looks like it may be my only option.
Adobe offers both stand-alone CC in Lightroom versions.
What happens if I sign up and cancel my subscription after a few months, then re - subscribe a few months later?
Nothing happens to your photos or changes or tasks that you create collections and presets (and any other work you have done in Lightroom).
There are cancellation fees or other penalties? As an infrequent occasional user, this pourrait to be an option.
Here are the annual plans. You can pay monthly, or the full amount at the front. Yes, I think that there is a penalty of cancellation.
