What happens when two computers call the same code stored in networked storage?

We have our code on the network storage and have worked on a single computer code.  We have now replicated our configuration and want to use the same code to run the new installation to another computer.  We want to run simultaneously both configurations (both using the same storage networking code).  Will there be conflicts here, or both computers load their own copy of the vi to run from?  I must say that we do not have global variables.

I am interested in the answer to this question anyway, but I'd be happy to hear any suggestions (or even critical) on how to do what we do.

You should seriously consider a source control system, which is the best solution here. This gives you an original copy of the code on the network. Each computer retrieves the latest revision of the source control, make a copy on the local disk. Source control keeps a good backup and allows you to track and compare the versions or to return to the old code, when something breaks.

I'm fairly certain that you can open the same screw that is stored on a network drive on multiple computers simultaneously. Global variables are not relevant here. Each computer is independently responsible for the screw in memory. The problem is if edit you and save the VI on a computer while it is open on another, and if you make changes on both at the same time, will certainly lose you some of her edits and could possibly corrupt your VI and lose all, that's why you should use a source code control system.

If you have the request of the manufacturer, I recommend your building code in an application. You can store the network application if you want and run it on multiple computers.

    Please help, thank you for this option online support

    I should add that if you operate the account using Pop then messages can be left on the server without any indication that they have been read. You define each customer to leave them on the server.

    However if you don't know what messages have been read, I know not how will you know which ones to delete and when to do it. Without active maintenance your server could quickly become full.

  • Can I use the CC apps on my two computers at the same time?

    A full individual membership, two computers simultaneously, using 2 different applications of CC. For example: I am editing/export in Premiere Pro on one, audio with hearing or graphics with Photoshop on the other. Is this OK and I will be able to access creative cloud of these two computers at the same time?

    Thank you! Christy

    Hi John,.

    There was some confusion on this subject at the launch of creative cloud. The EULA States that you can install it on two computers at once, however, you may not use the applications on those computers simultaneously. This is the case even when you are not in the same application. Sorry for the confusion.

  • Running two Apps on two computers at the same time

    I know the ability to install on two computers CC and I saw the restriction of not being able to run applications on two different computers at the same time.

    My question is, does that mean that all the two apps at the same time or cannot run the same application on two computers at the same time?

  • Run different applications in Creative Suites on two computers at the same time.

    I have a backlog of mini tape DV from my vacation for 10 years.  The rear reason is because slow computers have made a personal production until the very slow DVD creation.  I've recently updated to 4-core i7 with unique HDs and on the point of buying a custom built 6 hearts i7 with SSD and RAID HDs.  I understand that I can install Creative Suite Production Premium 5.5 on two computers.  One facility is already on the coreI-4.   I intend to install the second installation on the 6-core.  I would use the 6-core for production, while the 4 - core is the capture of DV cassettes.

    If I had bought a copy of an application separate and installed on separate computers, I'd be able to run them at the same time.  Is there a way I can run two computers at the same time with Creative Suite to accelerate personal production for example can I run separate from the Creative Suite applications, I want to use separate programs, on two computers at the same time, as long as these requests are not the same?

    You can run the same or different adobe products to the same or different times on the same or different computers (except that you can not run the same program more than once on the same computer at the same time).

  • What happens when two parallel process call the same VI in an FPGA?

    Hi all

    I was wondering, what happens when say two parallel processes call the same Subvi in an FPGA? I think that the FPGA would create two instances of the Subvi, not sure. Any point of view?

    Thank you

    Altras

    I don't know if the FPGA adds any ordinary special, but in LabVIEW rule and in LabVIEW Real-time, a VI by default is not reentrant.  Therefore, a process that is called when it is already in use is blocked and must wait.

    If the VI is reentrant, however, then you have two (or more) for the VI dataspaces, so that each can run independently.

  • With Creative Cloud, can run us applications on two computers at the same time?

    Hello

    (First Question):

    I have two diffrant PC with the same OS (Windows 7),

    can I use any application on the two PCs at the same time with my plan full creative cloud for individuals - annual.

    ((Deuxième Question):

    If the answer to my question above is yes then my second question is that I use my laptop at home, except office hours so it is possible

    to install creative cloud on my third machine (Windows - computer laptop at home).

    Example: Can I use Creative cloud when I am connected at home and not in the desktop.

    First question: Yes

    See Q3 in respect of development underway in the FAQ

    http://www.Adobe.com/products/creativecloud/FAQ.html

    Second question: not easily.

    Your cloud membership entitles you to 2 simultaneous activations only max.

    To use it on the 3rd computer, you should disable first on the desktop computer. Then re-enable the next day.

  • SkinnablePopUpContainer: What happens when close() is called

    Hello

    When I call close on a SkinnablePopUpContainer, what happens to events for her listeners the variable that contains the reference, the properties defined in it and so on?

    For example, in my app to check if there is a screen I do the following:

    Instantiate

    Popup = new mySkinnablePopUpContainer();

    popup.addEventListener (PopUpEvent.CLOSE, popupClsoe);

    ...

    private void popupClose(event:PopUpEvent):void

    {

    Popup = null;

    }

    And basically, I check if the popup is null. Is there another way to do this?

    Thank you.

    Remove you the earphones and jut certainly reduce to zero any reference you can think. The chances of the object is garbage collected.

  • Can I enable CC on more than two computers at the same time?

    See what adobe is always allow two computers active simultaneously?

    This is a subscription service and, while we're technically downloading the software, we don't really "own" it as it can be 'locked' if we go over our activations.  From what I've seen in many forums both in and out of Adobe, three computers seems to be the standard of what I see if I beg the question...

    What is the problem with allowing only TWO computers active being allowed to run the software at any time?

    And then I imagine that, logically, there is a problem if I wanted to use CC on a mobile device, but also my computers?

    With a music subscription service, once the music unsubscribe disappears and everything is fine - and I can access from multiple devices.  So why is Adobe being so restrictive with PS and LR (and CC in General)?  It seems rather strange that if I want to access PS/LR on a single machine, LR on the other and the first on a third, then I cannot, although there is never more than two instances of any single software used is THREE subscriptions - but it is yet another issue.

    If it can't get it fixed, maybe I should just watch Pixelmator and without having to worry about this.

    Please... give an overview.

    the only possible limitations are:

    1. you can use more than one activation of cc at any moment.  That is to say, you can use one computer at a time.  (not much of a limitation, IMO.)

    2. you must disconnect (your other connected computers) before the signature of the component snap on a 3rd, 4th etc. computer.  Once again, no downside unless you didn't have internet access to important moments and for long periods of time for the computer or computers that you need to connect.

    In another answer Ken_f suggest "a source online to centrally store the files. It's a way to do it, but not the only way.
    Using your router, you can set up a working group between the two
    computers (do a search on the web for info on how to do this) and share all
    files or the files anything you want to share. Personally, I prefer
    This method, since storing files online requires a certain
    security risk.

  • What happens when I click on the button "lock" on Windows?

    Original title: I have Windows 7 Home Premium.  What happens if I open start and click on "lock."

    I have Windows 7 Home Premium.  What happens if I open start and click 'lock' with my mouse? I be asked to install a password before my closing and locking PC, or I will have no way to restart my computer because I hit the lock.  Thanks in advance.

    Once you lock, you can press CTRL + ALT + DEL to unlock. If you normally connect with a password, you will be asked to enter this password to unlock. A shortcut to your lock screen is using the Windows key + L (lowercase).

    I hope this helps.
