What is a wpa password?

I have a HP Photosmart C6380 all-in-One printer. It's wireless and I can't print from my laptop wireless provided with Windows 7. The printer has printed in the past without problem. The computer sends the document to the printer, but I get the message that the printer is offline. It is lit with the blue wireless light.

Recently, we had AT & T U-Verse installed with TV, internet and phone. I was wondering if that made a difference. I tried to use the wireless on the printer configuration wizard and I put in the code SSID. Then he goes to the next screen and asks you a WPA password. Don't know what it is.

Hello:

Technology service should have left you some formalities with your SSID and WPA exp.

If they do not have as many times you use the number on the bottom of your modem DSL AT & T as the password.

  • What is the WPA password?

I'm trying my hp 6520 PHOTOSMART e-ALL-IN-ONE SERIES connect wireless to my MacBook. When I press Assistant to Setup wireless on the Panel of the printer, it brings my VodafonePocketWifi device and then asks for a WPA password. What is this and where can I find? Thank you.

    You want the WiFi Key.

  • Printer rejects the WPA password

My HP Envy 4500 worked very well without any hiccups until three days ago, when she refused the WPA password he used throughout.  I checked that the password still works with my other devices by making them forget the network, then join.  No problems.  But the EXACT SAME password doesn't work on the printer anymore.  Again, I insist on the fact that he works for a few months.

I restarted the printer, restarted my computer and my router.  No joy.

I tried to manage the printer of the 192.168... address, but it does not connect.

I am running Windows 8 on a laptop Samsung and have two phones and an iPad Mini running off of the network.  The router is provided by Shaw (internet provider) and shows that all systems OK.  I have no problems with wireless access on any other device.  Kapersky doesn't show any malware.

    What should I do now?

I spent the better part of the day trying to understand the same problem and then noticed when you go to enter the WPA password, which is the same that the network key that you use to connect to other devices to your router, the printer was automatically his debut with a space at the beginning where you enter the password.  I finally understood how to get rid of this extra space at the beginning.

-Put your first letter/number/symbol of your password in

-Press the arrow curved to the left on the face of the printer - move your first character back to the position it is.

-Press the right arrow to the right on the printer face - this will move the cursor to the next position

-complete the entry of your password

Now, he needs to connect - the extra space at the beginning was originally passphrase wpa message incorrect for me.

I also had to switch my router WPA2 to WPA security.

FYI - my printer is HP Officejet 4500 Wireless

  • How can I recover my WPA password?

Hi - I'm slowly losing my sanity.  Yesterday, my HP Photosmart 110 wanted to install the update to enable messages to be sent wireless.  Installation took place without problem.  Today button blinks and the printer asked me to add the wireless network - I did.  So, my phone crashed so I unplugged the network printer thought that had caused the problem.  Laptop recovered so I tried to add a new wireless network, but he keeps asking my my WPA password.  I have forgotten this and cannot find how to reset or recover it.  Help please!

    Hi smartlady02,

  • I can't find the patch file for an update of the WPA password. Someone help me with this? Any help or clarity is appreciated. Maybe I'm going the wrong way? Thank you

I use an old Dell XP Home Edition with SP2 preinstalled.  2 days ago at home, this laptop recognized and connected my network home wireless (802. 11 g Linksys). Today, at work, while sitting next to a wireless router, nothing (Mac Airport Extreme).  I use a Belkin Wireless card.  I'm not sure of the model of wireless card.  Laptop is older and I am afraid to remove the card, but I will if necessary.  Belkin Tech offers a WPA Librarians dwnld password to update my XP Op sys. She said that this update would allow my Sys OP to recognize an encrypted router WPA-2, which is how my work router is encrypted.

    HI Captben,

The patch file the Belkin tech was referring to can be found here.

  • Installed beta mobile version, but what is my username, password and especially my sync key? Cannot be used without her...

Just installed the beta version of Firefox mobile on my HTC Desire running latest updates, to Canada on Tulus. Installed correctly, but in the first configuration screen (Preferences) I wonder at the bottom for info sync... What should I enter, nothing I put in works... Need this info to set up syncs not between my HTC and the computer then what is it? Looking forward to this, but can not use without completing this...
Would love to get that will sync with my computer!

When first install you Firefox Sync in Firefox, you would have to create a new account. This process involves the definition of a key user name, password and sync. If you haven't yet set up an account, you can then choose a name of user and password key / sync.

For more details, see How can I set up Sync on my computer?. The article refers to a passphrase that will be the same as the key to the synchronization, it has recently been renamed.

  • Windows XP - Home Edition: what is the administrator password? Or how to find / change (OS is OEM - only have not disk) _

    Windows XP - Home Edition - SP3.
Is there a way to know what administrator account password?

    Standard mode:

If you have forgotten your password, if you have another user who has administrative privileges account you can log in to that account and change the password of your account of origin of the user accounts applet in Control Panel. If you do not have another account like this set upwards or that you do not have the password which you will need to log on to the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, start the computer in Mode safe. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. This will put you in the right menu. Navigate using your arrow up; the mouse does not work here. Once in safe mode, you will see the normally hidden administrator account. The default password is white.

In XP Pro, you don't need to go to Safe Mode. In the home screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and the password that you assigned when you set up Windows.

WRITE THE PASSWORDS DOWN AND PUT THEM SOMEWHERE YOU WON'T LOSE THEM.

  • Special characters in my wpa password can be introduced to officejet J4680c

I have an officejet j4680c all-in-one, but I don't have a computer at the moment so I use my wireless printer using the application mobile ePrint. Recently, I changed the password wpa, but it includes a dollar sign. When I entered that code is there something I'm missing to this character? Or do I have to change my password again?

The sign $ is not one of the special characters available for the all-in-one Officejet J4680.  To get this connected device you will need to change this password again to include the characters available on the printer.

    Good luck.

  • What happens if a password or authorization is required for a "interactive logon to the local security for domain policy or..?

I use a pc at home on my wireless router which is password protected.  Under the local security policy, if enable password to access interactive domain requirement, what happens?  [Activate: interactive logon: requires authorization by domain controller...] I block someone tries to access my pc via a domain or I will block my access?  I use windows 8 and windows 7 HP, (different PC)

    Hi Laurie,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

According the information you have provided, I understand that you need information about the interactive logon to the local security for the domain policy. I will certainly give you with this information.

Logon information must be provided to unlock a locked computer. For domain accounts, this security setting determines whether a domain controller must be contacted to unlock a computer. If this setting is disabled, a user can open the computer using cached credentials. If this setting is enabled, a domain controller must authenticate the domain account used to unlock the computer.

  • C6180 - what are the id password & network settings?

Windows XP Pro. connection router wireless dLink for my C6180. Everything seems to work, thanks in large part to the excellent paper of Jasdev Singh to resolve the errors of analysis on network printers

However, when I got hurt, I tried to access the network settings Solution Center. I was invited to an ID and password.

What is c? I couldn't find anything in the manual about this password or what I might be able to see in the network settings.

It worked! I can now enter the network settings on my PC.

The only singularity is that it took a long time for the printer to obtain its IP lease. Wireless authentication was immediate after that I entered the password. It took less than 20 seconds, and then he fell. After that, it took 20 minutes, turn on/off the printer and manually enter the IP address, and then return to automatic, before he got the rental contract. Then maybe part instructions reset in some cases might be: 'If you connect wireless, it can take 10-20 minutes for the connection to be fully operational after a reset.

    Thank you for your help.
