The fundamental difference is that Windows RT is designed to be on a Tablet Windows 8 Pro is the complete PC software.

RT will let you only install apps in the Windows store (like the iTunes Store from Apple or Google Play).  RT will also not Flash, except on sites that Microsoft have certified as "safe".

Windows 8 Pro will give you everything - install any Windows software, run websites in Flash, etc.

Think of Windows RT as a Tablet and Surface Pro as a laptop with a touchscreen and you will not really far from the truth.

  • What is the difference between Windows 8 'PRO' and 'Full Version '?

I'm honestly confused, "what the hell". In the online store, I see both versions without any explanation of what's what. Microsoft make it easier on us?

Full version means generally that the included DVD can be used to install Windows on a drive to empty.  Should not have an earlier version of Windows before installing this new version of Windows.

Pro is the 'more' advanced version of Windows 8.  It will be provided more features in Windows 8, as the connection to a real Windows Server.  It would also get the 'free' Windows 8 Media Center key, which will allow you to use a tuner TV with your Windows 8.

First of all, note that it is not Windows XP Pro and Windows XP, there
Windows XP Pro vs Windows XP Home Edition.

XP Home and Professional are identical except that professional
includes a few features (primarily related to security and networking)
away from home? Most individuals need not and would never use
These extra features and will see no benefit from the upgrade.

Also note another point, not included in one of the foregoing:
Professional only allows ten simultaneous network connections and home

You don't say what you use to install Windows XP Pro, but the normal installation media of Windows XP does not include device drivers for everything, especially for laptop/notebook computers.

You need to get the drivers from the manufacturer of the computer (or computers that are built or made by small manufacturers, manufacturers of the individual hardware components).

For a laptop Compaq 6510 b, go here--> http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3355661&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3355650&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1093 read the Installation Instructions which can be found on the individual download pages.

I GOT AN ERROR... NO INETCPG.dll.

'INETCPG.dll' is not a file of Windows XP.  Do you mean C:\windows\system32\inetcfg.dll?

Answer: No, once that you install on the customer's PC's linked to this PC / motherboard. There is a small chance that if you have another exact and model PC as the client, it "might" work.

3       the procedure for my problem?

For the 32 Bit just activate as you normally would.

For the 64-bit version, you can try if installed on a similar PC phone activation.

  • If I buy a tablet of surface with Windows RT can move to Windows 8 Pro?

Or I just have to wait until the release of surface Windows with Pro?

No, you cannot update the software because the hardware is different. Surface with Windows RT has a mobile processor (ARM), whereas the Surface with Windows 8 Pro has an Intel processor (like most of the PC).

    Hi Daniel,.

Based on the information, looking for a Surface RT of Windows application run flv files.

You may need to search Windows Store an application that can help you convert these files in a format supported for play on Surface RT.

  • Upgrade to Windows 8 Pro fails miserably, why?. What can I do to make sure it works this time.

DV6 - 7247cl just bought 1 week ago, I bought windows 8 pro upgrade pack and backed up my windows 8 base images.  When to perform in-place upgrade today ' today-all seemed well until it has restarted and came to a start with three boxes menu: Windows 8 on volume 4

    Windows 8 on volume 4

    Installation of Windows

I tried all 3 and each of them became all black and then blue screen, your computer has encountered a problem....

I went into recovery options and each tried and nothing worked.  The last option that I came was to make Factory Image Recovery, I need Windows 8 Pro because I join domain and use Bitlocker and start with the virtual hard drive.  Why it failed, would it secure boot or UEFI.  Please tell me what I can do to get this update to work.  The upgrade looked like it was working but then wouldn't boot into Windows more after the reboot.

Sorry for the experience with the support of Microsoft. I wasn't expecting that. Let us try the old process to restore the system to the factory settings, uninstalling unwanted applications and then create an inplace upgrade to Windows 8 Pro. Let's see what happens this time.

  • . What I have to buy windows 95/98 or y at - it a newer version which will still play older games?

    Original title:

    Windows 95/98

    Hello

I currently have an Apple. There are a few games, I used to play (i.e. Rollercoaster Tycoon) which are mainly Windows 95/98.

I have considered buying a less expensive to play PC. What I have to buy windows 95/98 or y at - it a newer version which will still play older games?

I read a blog that says Windows 8 would not work with most, but perhaps Windows 7. I tried many different ways to play games on the Apple and in some cases, I can play them, but it will eventually stopped my computer during registration or something of that kind.

Any suggestions? Of course, a suggestion at low cost is nice instead of buying a new computer.

Good luck finding a windows 95 or 98.

You'll have to do some research on Google or in the game forums to see what o/s these games could work. But I wouldn't count on much of this old games.

The size of the base operating system Windows Vista on my Aspire 3680 2682 is larger than 20 GB, is this normal?

    Hello

    Yes; It's normal.

In addition to the original operating system, you have updates, restore points of the system (set at 15% of the capacity of the hard drive) etc, etc.

    It will continue to grow.

If you are worried about anything whatsoever, do a disk cleanup.

  • How to make a video exported always matches what is shown in the window of the program?

I try to export several videos HD 1080 p for YouTube, nothing will do, often get weird proportions and still get black bars on the sides or the bottom and top (sometimes with the same rendering settings) in the final exported video.  The problem that I am facing has a very clear expected result with the following:

    • Export EXACTLY what is shown in the window of the program
    • Have the appropriate settings for the video good exported any standard modern computer screen (although this resolution can be)
    • Have the right settings for any project to export a 1080 p video that FILLS the screen in full screen
    • Have the exported video not stretch, scale or decreases in quality
    • Be able to use this project as a "Preset" for all of my future videos

Whatever my current settings, what I need to do to make sure an exported video remains at its highest quality while also never showing black bars?  I'm ready to start a new project from scratch if I need to.

    Additional information:

    • I'm new to this software, using the free 30 day trial of Adobe first Pro CC 2014
    • I use images from sources that are larger than what is shown in the project window.  For example, I stepped up a rectangular background image so I could animate the rotation without revealing the empty corners in the video.

I suppose that when a video is rendered, it flush with all source material that is not in the frame.  If this is the case, why are the exported videos different from what is shown in the window of the program and make preview?  Thanks in advance for your help.

    The sequence settings say:

Preview file format: I-Frame only MPEG

    Codec: MPEG I-Frame (out parameters)

    Width: 1920

    Height: 1080

However, it seems that doing a new project and everything again after setting parameters of the sequence to what I had before some fixed my problems.  Now, the program window corresponds to the export preview and export correctly.  However, this does not identify what caused the problem.

As far as I can tell, it's a glitch in Adobe Premiere caused by importing a source file, exporting in the wrong resolution (32: 21), then trying to change the resolution and export again in the same sequence.  For anyone else facing this problem in the future, make a new project, set up the correct resolution (16:9) in sequence settings and THEN export.

Thank you all for your help!
