New printing problems 2540 - lack of lines

Hello

I just bought a printer 2540 and installed, but it lacks at least all other lines when printing and I get horizontal stripes.  I went through the process of alignment and cleaning the heads, but it's actually got worse not better.

I see that you have a problem with the lines and scratches on your print jobs.  I would like to make a few steps, we can go to solve this problem.

First of all, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general. Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

I also find a document called the streaks of ink, fixing faded prints and other common print quality problems.

    I'll put up my new printer HP 2540 and have inserted cartridges HP supplied with the printer - all in a sealed box.  The color cartridge is OK, however, I thought that the black cartridge is not HP.  Help

    I understand that you have a printer of HP all-in-one OfficeJet Pro 8720 which took a long time to initialize and is now stuck in a mode 'check' cartridges after the reboot it because transport would not move to the Center. I would like to help with that.

    I would start by doing a Reset of the power on the printer.

    If that fails to solve the problem, you might want to speak with HP Technical Support as there may be a hardware problem.

    You mentioned that you are using a Mac running OS X 10.5 Leopard or more. The HP all-in-one OfficeJet Pro 8720 printer is only compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or later.

    I also tried to run an update of the Windows security updates, but same message.

    HI Maria/Winston.Not, trying to be coy but. I've never had close the firewall to load anything. It will be, or at least should invite you to make a choice to leave the program to run or not? Nevertheless.If you have windows activation hurt you firewall can reactivate manually without going through the bugs that you can not. If you click Start and choose the runtime application. Type cmd, and then press ENTER. When the command prompt box appears type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes. He'll say firewall reactivated and ask for a reboot. Restart the computer and it will be active again. Just trying to help.

    Thank you both for your advice.
    While waiting for your answers, I pushed all sorts of buttons and downloaded all kinds of programs in the hope that I could break the firewall (Hewlit the printer I tried to install says to disable the firewall to install the printer, and then turn it back on?).
    After a reboot, the message 'corrupt windows\system32 etc' file came and asked me to put in the original disc of Windows XP, I did not.
    Cut a long story short, I have now booked for a technician to come out as I'm totally lost.

  • Printing problem with OE - 6 format since the upgrade to IE - 8: no space between the body and the subject line text.

    My computer is configured with XP SP3 and IE - 8. I've been using Outlook Express 6.0 (update of MS according to needs). Messages are always printed correctly. Lately, however, the body of the message printed directly below the object without line - the space between them. This happens on my Brother laser printer and my HP inkjet printer. I have not changed my settings of the printer. I've recently updated to IE - 7 to IE - 8; However, I see nothing in the settings of IE - 8 to explain this change in print. I recently installed "MobileMe" Panel Apple configuration, which has installed a separate set of folders in the list of folders in OE - 6. I did a clean (with Revo Uninstaller) uninstalling the MobileMe Control Panel, removed the extra e-mail account/folders and rebooted. Yet the printing problem.

    If that doesn't help you can not save the file wmp.dll
    a. log on as an administrator.
    b. Click Start, type cmd.exe in the Run dialog box right click on cmd.exe, click Run as administrator and then click on continue.
    c. at the command prompt, type regsvr32 oled32.dll and press enter and then click OK.

    Method 2.
    If this problem started occurring recently, you can restore the computer to a previous state. You lose Internet Explorer 8 and return to Internet Explorer 7. In this way, we can check whether or not the root cause of the problem is installation of Internet Explorer 8.

    Try the printer troubleshooter, which will attempt to diagnose and solve your problem automatically.

    Clear printer spooler files and activate the spooler service

    I have an IMAC 10.6.8 who I am trying to download and install the software for a new printer HP Officejet pro 8710.  He said that it is only compatible with 10.7 and upward.  Is there a way to get around this? or do I need to get a new IMAC or other printer?

    HP wireless direct allows your wireless devices such as computers, smart phones, tablets and other

    Wireless, to connect to your printer directly over the wireless network, using the method you

    currently use to connect your wireless for hot spots and new wireless networks. With HP

    Wireless direct, you can print directly to the printer wireless, a wireless router, of your

    wireless device activated.

    To connect to the printer without a wireless router, press the button wireless directly from the printer

    Control Panel. If this is the first time you turn on the HP direct wireless, how Connect information

    page will be printed. Follow the instructures on printed information page.

    NOTE: HP direct wireless with security is enabled by default when you turn it on. The HP wireless

    direct password can be found by printing information page.

    NOTE: The information page are not available in all languages. It can only be printed

    automatically when you first activate wireless HP direct.

    To print information page, press in and hold the button wireless live for more than 3 seconds.

    If direct HP wireless is enabled, the Direct wireless status light is solid on.

  • Problem with the new printer print only some word from the quarterdeck documents

    I hope someone can help. I have a Dell Vostro and had 8 happy years print on a Canon printer. I just upgraded to a Canon Pixma iP4600 printer. I think that with some (not all) MS word documents it prints the rear tray (mean't for photo paper) by opposition to the tape before (designated for plain paper), for which I set the properties of the printer.

    Canon tech support say there is a Windows problem. I already reinstalled the printer driver but sill the same problem. Hope someone can advise.

    As you have already defined the properties of the printer and the problem is only with a few word documents. The first step would be to check if the word printing settings are defined in law.
