What is microsoft visual C++ 2005 et al. redistributable?

In the list of installed is Microsoft visual C++ 2005 redistributable also in other years.  All this can I?

Hi Mary,

Microsoft Visual C++ is one of the programming languages that make up the suite of Microsoft Visual Studio Windows development. In order to run most applications written with the Microsoft Visual Studio program, users must have special programs installed on their system known as "packages" Redistributable

If you have Windows 8 and any software or old programs installed on the computer that require Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable, then you need to keep the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable package.

Hope the helps of information. Let us know if you need help with Windows related issues. We will be happy to help you.

    Hello

Can I use Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional for this?

No, because it is not yet certified.

When I re - install EBS R12, which is the correct path (below) # 1 or # 2?
    (1) s_MSDEVdir = C:\Microsoft_Visual_Studio\VC
    (2) s_MSDEVdir = C:\Microsoft_Visual_Studio\VC\bin

The first condition - I would suggest you change the name of the "Microsoft_Visual_Studio" directory to something like "VCPlus" or "VS2005" or "VS2008.

  • Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 - Setup in Windows 7 error

Microsoft okay, I've been loyal to you back 4.0, now it's your turn to show your support!

Short description: cannot install Microsoft VC ++ 2005/2008 Redistributable Packages

I encountered this problem with iTunes, Matlab, and virtually anything requiring VC ++ ATL. I tried to install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package"downloaded as "vcredist_x86" to the MS. site Product installation and then crashes as "0 seconds" remaining.

After about 10 min, the following error message is returned: "Error 1935. An error occurred during the Assembly "Microsoft.VC80.CRT, type ="win32", version ="8.0.50727.4053", publicKeyToken ="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b"processorArchitecture ="x 86". Please refer to the help and support... "

    What I tried:

"Windows Installer CleanUp": any trace of VC redistributable packages.

"Rename Windows\Winsxs to Winsxs.old": no success (changed the owner from TrustedInstaller to Administraor, still impossible to rename the folder"

"Clearing C:\Temp and Windows\Temp": does not solve the problem

"Try the other redistributable packages VC ++": same problem

Can't wait for this problem - please help!

Ask yourself what MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB954430) and MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KD973688) I was able to delete them?

Do not delete one of them.  They are there for a reason.  The amount of space, you can free up is negligible anyway.  When you can buy a 1.5 TB for $90 hard drive, it's a waste of time and effort to worry about a few megabytes.  And if you delete something you need, the consequences can be disastrous.

    By the way 1 TB = 1 000 000 megabytes.

    Good luck.
