  I don't know what you mean by getting the drivers from "various sites." The only place to get the drivers for the hardware that is installed with your Dimension is the Dell Web site.

  I just bought my HP ENVY 23-d027c TouchSmart all-in-One PC of office a few days ago.  It was working fine until I tested the speakers.  When you watch youtube videos, the internal speakers will stop working, while the mute button is not enabled.  It takes a few minutes, and then the speakers work again, only to cut out once more.  IT IS SO FRUSTRATING!  What's weirder, I put a dvd to see if it was the speakers, but the audio on the dvd seems to work very well.  Also, when I use headphones, the speakers work fine.  I don't know what the deal is, but according to my research, this seems to be a fairly common phenomenon on HP computers.  I'm struggling on the Exchange on this computer.  IF this isn't a simple solution, this machine will return to the store!

  Your speakers are not working correctly.

  Go to Device Manager, uninstall the IDT audio and restart the computer.

  Uninstall it and reinstall the audio driver.

  Here is a link to the Device Manager.

  Do a hard reset.
  
  Turn off the computer.
  
  Remove the power cable and battery.
  
  Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth energy sources are deleted.
  
  
  
  This should reset the hardware in the computer.

  Have you verified that the windows audio settings? Usually in driver audio, you can switch between the audio output on speakres internal and external speakers (headphone).

  I don't know if it is a hardware issue of m.

  Hello, I went from my output to a DAC using the Audio MIDI Set up and everything has worked. Then when I switched the output to the speakers they would not play any alerts - alerts were never neglected internal. Regular audio won't play - just no alert. -I looked into his system - it - preferences interface, everything looks good still does not. I changed the settings on the format via the interface Audio MIDI, thinking that would help, but none of the settings changed anything.   To be honest I don t understand why you think that exact this question must be a problem on Toshiba laptops.

  Your old L350 came with Vista and it would be interesting to know if the same thing will happen with original Toshiba (Vista) recovery image.

  No, there are no speakers built into the monitor.  You can buy external speakers.  I highly recommend watching the USB speakers.  The connection to your computer via a USB port.  My next speaker with being pregnant BOSE Companion 5.  They are expensive, but you don't need a sound card.

  the socket where connect you the external speakers generally used a suspended metal contact to disconnect the built in speakers when the plug is pushed. Removal of the plug in external speakers is expected then suspended contact return to its normal position which will return power to the built-in speakers.
  It is possible that the plug of the external speakers folded contact suspended so that it is no longer completes the circuit to the built-in speakers. You will have to remove you nnotebook to have access to the outlet to check.

  Let me first explain how I assumed that the switch between headset and speakers should work:
  I turn on the music or anything else and if no headphones are connected, all sound from the internal speakers. Now if I plug headphones then sound comes exclusively from the helmet. If I go out then again the sound comes from the speakers and so on.

  In my case, the situation is the following:
  If I have no headset connected and turn on the music, then I heard if via the speakers. If I decide to continue to listen to this music through a headphone and plug them in, then the music continues to come from the speakers, but for example, the outlook notification sound is delivered in the headphones. It works vice versa.
  If I open, say youtube for a video, while having the headphone is plugged, I hear the sound through them. If I now unplugg, them, the speakers will remain silent.

  What can I do that if there is no external speakers connected (helmet, etc.) all sound will be played through the internal speakers, if I plug in a kind of external speaker, it's their part and if I unplugg it it switches back on the internal speakers?

  Look in Control Panel audio Realtek. It should be an option multistreaming, make sure it is set to unify all devices.
