What is realtek pcie gbe controller family? Why, he appears NOW in my computer?

My HP desktop computer is the host of a wireless network (the guests are my HP laptop and the Mac Mini snow leopard recently added)

Just got back from Florida and now I can't find the name of my network wireless in my network screen: I now find a LAN connection and the device is Realtek pcie gbe family controller.

(my host computers are able to connect to the internet, wireless, through the network established by the name of wwwxxxyyy).

Why can't we find this wireless by name in network and sharing of the desktop (host) HP Center? What is Realtek? who makes it?
I'm SURE in this particular situation?      MAB

Hello

As mentioned above (tetraethyle3), the RealTek is network cable from the laptop card and that it can exist in parallel for the wireless. That is, it should not be the reason why the Wireless does not work.

If your wireless network does not work, try to find out why.
------------
Assuming that wireless router is configured correctly, it is a signal and the wireless card on the computer is physically in.

Maybe this can help.

These steps and tell us where is the breaking point.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

------------------

The wireless card drivers much also install utility wireless of the seller.

To ensure that if there is Wireless Utility a seller is not running with the native Windows wireless utility (Service WLAN).

----------------

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Some 3rd AV/Firewall/security software part, s costume keep blocking aspects of Local traffic even it they are off (disabled).

If possible set up the firewall correctly, /Security costume otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

party like Hello and NetMagic 3rd network managers can block local traffic too.

---------------------------

Stack TCP/IP work should look like.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg

Description is the data of the card making.

The physical address is MAC of the card number.

The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

* Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

* Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

---------------------------------------------------

A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.

Connection to the router means that you can enter the IP of the router base in an address bar in one go, being able to connect and configure the router menus see.

If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

I just did an upgrade to windows 8 last night, and well, things seem to work except that I see now that my realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller is a warning symbol yellow when you view Device Manager. When I went to update the drivers it installed and then said that there was a problem updating the drivers and gave error code 31. Properties says drivers cannot be loaded and gives the same error code 31. Do not know what is this controller, but I can't seem to make it work properly. Any thoughts? Do not know why, after upgrading to windows 8 I would have this problem from the start. Also, Action Center identified a problem of communication with the modem and suggested I it reboot but I had no other problems with other devices in the House. any help is appreciated.

OK guys! Super easy solution, not as difficult as you think. I recommend to do two things at the same time as I did, but one of them (or both) has been the appropriate fix. I just do them at the same time.

1 start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning, (c) disc for me, the main drive I guess, I'm not a genius with computers by all means so that this should give you more hope. I just clicked on the temporary files, Recycle Bin, things that seemed undesirable memory unnecessarily, but I left just in case one system error logs to check the report
    2. I went to the control panel configuration, programs, and UNINSTALL THE LAST JAVA UPDATE, I remember that it was after this java update one night that I couldn't go online the next time (one or two nights after)

That's all! I rebooted and VOILA! No kidding, I have once again to the Internet!

FYE: Yes I tried the system restore, reconnected connection ethernet and power cord and a few other things I've read online. BUT IT WORKS! Apparently there was a corrupt file that I deleted during disk clean up or just uninstalled an bad Java update that turns off / disrupted the communication of my computer and its device drivers.

    Anyway, give it a try!

Why can't I find the Realtek drivers without someone wanting to buy me this wizard or the program of this kind? It's crazy, that I just want to keep my drivers up to date. You shouldn't go out and buy these rediculas priced at programs to keep the computer I already paid for. James a. mountain

    Hi James,

    ·         What Web site you use to download the Realtek drivers?

It is always recommended to consult the instrument vendor's site or software to get the right and compatible driver for the device driver.

    Hello

There are normally 3 possible reasons of this error you have.

    1. the BIOS boot order set to Network Boot: BIOS settings to check the boot order.

    2. check the cable connections between the motherboard and the hard disk.

    3. doesn't have a hard drive.

  • Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller 10 network adapter ID

I buy several new laptops Edge E545 as an upgrade for a customer.  I run Win7-64 on them so I've erased the hard disk, set the BIOS to install Win7 and proceeds on.  Installation went without a hitch.  I started to run all the programs to install driver for the various components.  No problem.  This is updated from Windows.  Installed all new patches, etc. to the top for the data current (08/01/2014).  Problem.  The Gigabit network interface won't work.  Install/uninstall the driver of Lenovo and Realtek.  Does not work.  Turn on/off the unit.  Does not work.  BIOS is 1.10 and the version available on the Lenovo's Support site is only 1.09 so the BIOS is pretty up to date.  UEFI turned to "Both" and "Heritage only.  Does not work.  Device Manager reports "this device cannot start.  Code 10 "no matter what I do.  Not having NOT a LAN work is NOT an option that the customer often goes to sites where there is a Wi - Fi connection.

Well, I took an another E545 off batch of 26, the client had bought and did a fresh install on it.  Ran through the same process and get it up-to-date with patches, updates, etc.  The NETWORK card was working fine so I photographed the reader.  Then I reformatted the HD on the other E545 just to be safe, I began to clean and then I restored the new image.  Booted up the laptop and the NETWORK card works fine on both machines.  Clone the drive 5 times more on more than 5 machines and no problems!  Must have just been a random corruption of pilots the first exit.  At least it was easy to fix!

  • Realtek PCIe GBE driver

Hello, I have a batch of 400 G1 PSES working on Imaging through MDT.  Start-up of the machines up to the image that was already on them and took the pilots under the SWsetup directory, because I think that they are above all day, however, the network folder is not all the .inf files, rather there just a setup.exe, which will not import into MDT.  When I do the discovery on the page of the driver for the machine, it only returns with Intel Network, no RealTek drivers, so I wonder if there's a SoftPaq somewhere of this pilot, taking somehow is not listed on the page of the main driver.

In this case, it is for Win 7 pro 64-bit.

    Hello:

That is interesting... the show even product sheet, it has a Realtek ethernet controller.

What I recommend is to use the gigabit directly from Realtek drivers.

The second listed file is the auto install file.

  • Network connection problem Wifi (Ralink RT5390R...) and Ethernet LAN (Realtek PCIe...)

    Hello

With my HP Desktop Pavilion P6-2417eb on a 64-bit Windows 8.1 platform, I have serious problems to connect to a network or the internet. The office is connected to a router with wifi capabilities and modem broadband with wireless internet capabilities.

Several other devices (computer laptop Lan and Wifi; Android tablets; IOS Tablet; netbooks; NAS server) are connected to the network via wifi and Ethernet LAN calbe with no problems.

After a long period of crossing possible problems, I come to the conclusion that it is a problem of my dekstop PC-related equipment. In the past, a reboot of the desktop computer was enough to settle the problem, but these days it is no longer possible. This afternoon I was able to connect for 15 min and after it ended again. It was the first in a week again. I post this message with my laptop. I have 4 possible for Internet connection but no wok with this desktop computer.

The following products do not work in my desktop pc:

    • Ethernet Lan, Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
