What is rectangle in dots on my workspace

CS4 on Mac. I have some files drawn by someone else. They have this rectangle dotted in the workspace.

I guess that's a "page" or something similar. It bothers me. How can I get rid of him? It disappears when I go to the menu change work plans, and I couldn't find anything in the layout that seems to be tied to it.

Ah, Mary.

So what happens if you view > Hide Page tiling instead (which has to do with the page size (party printable of) in connection with a printer)?

What does the green dot on my desktop icons?

    Hi Jamie

The green dots are probably coming in a third-party program.

Some backup programs, such as Carbonite, will overlap at a point of color icons of file or program to show the status of backup of this element. In addition, some abtivirus programs will use these points of overlay icon.

Most of the programs will be an option to turn off the icons.

    I hope this helps.

  • What is a red dot with exclamation point average

I have windows XP and lately the red dots with exclamation points appear on more and more of my file icons.

They appear in the lower right of the icons of file.  I see no difference in functionality, but he fears that

I have no idea what it means, and it is spreading in addition to my files.  What does that mean?

You have some sort of software to backup installed, for example, Carbonite, Mozy, Norton 360?

Many of these applications use overlays on file icons to indicate the status of the backup.  What you describe sounds like Avast! Backup--> https://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=1000#idt_0108

  • What is this line dotted on the network map?

I'm just curious as to what this line dotted on the network map?

    Hello

According to the description of the problem, I understand that you are asking some about the network card and dotted line. I've certainly you will help answer your query.

The following diagram illustrates a typical presentation of home network with several computers and other devices connected to each other through several components of the infrastructure and to the Internet via a router.

The network map lets you see the devices on your local subnet, and how they are connected to each other and to the Internet. The computer on which you build the map is displayed in the upper left corner. Other computers on your subnet appear on the left. Infrastructure devices, such as switches, hubs, and gateways to other networks to appear on the right.

The green line indicates the device you are currently using in the visualization of the network card. The solid line indicates a wired connection, while the dotted lines indicate that the device is connected through the radio.

Hope this can help, please write back to us if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

  • What can I do to organize my workspace in SpeedGrade?

Screen Shot 2016-03-16 at 9.23.10 AM.pngThis is what my app SpeedGrade. No one else that I've seen have configured this way. In order to be able to follow along with the tutorials, I would organize it look like this:

Pretty easy to do... and in the 'manual' of SpeedGrade is under several heads reading and others. Also shown in the tutorials on AdobeTV, which has a good help for that.

At the left end of the read head on your calendar, is a number in a box. Click the number and drag to another item or task in your timeline, it will create another piece-head there and probably put you in 2 - up mode... not, in the second picture you have validated, the "2-up" in blue right down to the right of the playback screen? After you have created a second game-head which should automatically turns blue... If it is not manually select 2 upwards.

You can reset the distance and/or the location of every head of game by clicking on the number of the head piece and moving it. If you play your timeline, they move together keeping the same distance between them.

  • What white rectangle next to the reset button on a layer do?

I tried to click on it, right-click on it, drag, scroll on it, drag with MMB - nothing.

Is it a button or indicator? If the latter, then what this indicates? (never seen change)

    Thank you.

    Hello

It doesn't do anything. This is a spacer between the Reset button and masks / Alpha indicators.

  • What is this TeamViewer dot com and why should I not go?

    Slow moving Machine

It is a legitimate product that allows a computer to access remotely via the Internet from another PC.

The problem is the fraudsters that sounds and falsely claim to represent Microsoft. They try to convince the target that there are problems with their computer. Often, they will ask to visit the site of Teamviewer to allow them to access their computer. Other sites for remote access can also be used as Logmein. The goal is usually to sell a bogus tech support contract or a fictitious Windows license renewal.

There is a record of all of the process here if you are interested.

  • What is - this in multicolumn listbox?

    Is anyway to show/hide it?

    Hi George,.

Unfortunately, it appears that there is no direct way to the rectangle with the dotted line disappear because of constraints you mentioned; However, I may have a workaround. I suggest that you create a "dummy" with no actual data column in the first column and then change its width so that it is almost nil. When I tried this, I could see no longer the rectangle with dotted outline. Hope that helps!

  • ThinApp packages not detected by the workspace

I have a VMware view Horizon 6 Proof of Concept environment. I configured ThinApp in view and added a few bundled applications. I attributed these ThinApps to a pool of offices and they are hunted successfully to desktops when users connect. From this point of view, I'm so happy that the ThinApps work OK.

However, I just installed Workspace 2.1 and it does not detect the ThinApp packages. I've enabled view pools within the workspace and it detects my office pools OK. I also packed ThinApp compatible applications and pulled on my file ThinApp share. However, whenever I try to sync manually (or runs the automatic synchronization) in the area of work, I get the following error:

    Push is scheduled:

    Every day at 23:55

Error occurred in the synchronization of the applications (ThinApp) packed. Please check if packaged applications (ThinApp) configuration is correct and the share path is accessible.

The logbook on the virtual appliance contains the following:

    2015 01-08 T 09: + 00:00 XXXXXwork01 ThinAppRepoService 54:14: t@349c7700: cycle start inside hand (\\XXXXXview01.viewtest.internal\ThinApp\).

    2015 01-08 T 09: + 00:00 XXXXXwork01 ThinAppRepoService 54:14: t@349c7700: mount [\\XXXXXview01.viewtest.internal\ThinApp\] path is CIFS, acquire credentials.

    2015 01-08 T 09: + 00:00 XXXXXwork01 ThinAppRepoService 54:14: t@349c7700: initialization of the discovery of application sharing

    2015 01-08 T 09: + 00:00 XXXXXwork01 ThinAppRepoService 54:14: t@349c7700: Discovery actions of Application initialization succeeded

    2015 01-08 T 09: + 00:00 XXXXXwork01 ThinAppRepoService 54:14: t@349c7700: end import cycle (0 scanned app, 0 treated app).

So Workspace connects successfully to the share, but cannot detect all ThinApp packages. I tried one of the packages ThinApp reconstitution with the option 'Manage the space working with VMware' checked, but the package is not always detected. The permissions on the sharing of files and packages appear to be correct.

What should I do to get the workspace to detect the ThinApp packages?

Looks like your folder structure? Try to put them in subfolders in the specified directory.

  • "Horizon lines ' is not considered in the workspace 2.1

In the old version of workspace, there is a service called 'Horizon lines', but he is not seen in the last 2.1 working space. idea?

Starting with version 2.0, the part of files is simply removed from Workspace. VMware has decided to stop this product which, somehow, I can understand. With the acquisition of Airwatch, Secure Content Locker will replace the files of the Horizon and that the product is more mature than the way files was. The only thing so far that I stumbled on, he seems unable to share folders with people outside. There is a way to get around this, but I was informed by a pre-sale Airwatch, be it in their next release. To be confirmed.

Now, you have 6 days to qualify for the "no charge" upgrade, mentioned in KB2076011 if you are entitled to it. So pick up your phone and call everyone you can to have done would be a shame to miss it.

When I say 'free' actually, you get the SCL licenses for free. You must register for a maintenance contract, what is normal and that this is a facility on site, you will have to pay also for the implementation. But this s money if you want my opinion for what it brings.

From the workspace 2.1, SCL is now fully integrated into it.

    Hope this helps

  • Mysterious red dot

I did a card of thanks in InDesign; exported as PDF ready to print. Customer asked me: 'what is the red dot for the pix on the face of the person... " There was no red dot on the imported PSD file and it does not show in the InDesign document, but it definitely shows in the PDF document. When I discovered cymk exported in Acrobat PDF seps, 4 colors show no color, BUT the red dot as the m swiped on an indefinite color sets its own with no value of color set for it!

When I print to my Office B & W printer, it appears too.

    Clues?

What it is is an oval markup, a sort of commentary (annotation). You might have accidentally created in Acrobat. It can be removed safely in Acrobat. It would be interesting to see if it somehow automatically added in the file PDF if you need to export from InDesign again.
