What is tap/double tap process

My slide to unlock iPad won't work and I can't get into my iPad.

I searched communities and found a suggestion that I'm using the tap/double-tap process.

I'm sure that it's simple, but I can't wrap my head around it.  What exactly am I supposed to do?

Thank you.

Try force restart unit of home support and the power button at the same time. Keep the keep until the device restarts. Release the buttons.

  • What the handles, threads, and processes means or function, they are performing?

My son will ask me a question and I could not answer (it is perhaps a good thing because I think he will try to enter and change something he doesn't know) so I thought that I felt I'd better try to find out. He and I are eager to know what the handles, son and process average or functions, they do. They are in the performance tab in Windows Task Manager.

    Thank you

    Hello

A process handle is an integer value that identifies a Windows process. The Win32 API call a HANDFUL.

When you start a program, this program runs as a "process". It's something that runs in its own protected area, with its own memory. Other processes cannot touch this memory.

A few times, the program needs to do several things at once in a way of multitasking, similar to how the multitasking process. For example, a spreadsheet can recalculate the cells you enter data. He * could * start another process, but they can't (easily) share the memory, he would need to if recalculate cells!

Must be a different sort of process that is not quite as separated. It is a "thread".

Process: the number of applications that are running at some point in the computer.

  • What is the correct recovery process once upgraded to Windows 10? (No OneKey Recovery)

I have a cell phone Z50-70 which is preinstalled with Windows 8.1. It is an OEM version, with the product key that is stored in the Bios. This is an installation of UEFI.

The vehicle currently has OneKey recovery installed, which, if I understand well (I've not used actually still), allows you to recover from a hard disk recovery partition. This is not a "fresh" Windows 8.1, but an image provided by Lenovo that take back you to the State the laptop was bought originally (will have all software Lenovo and preinstalled drivers).

According to the official upgrade guide Lenovo, before performing the upgrade of Windows 10, we should uninstall basically all software from Lenovo, including OneKey recovery and it won't work in Windows 10.

    Issues related to the:

    1. What is the correct process to recover the system from Windows 10 if something goes wrong? I think that Windows 10 integrates a feature "Reboot your computer" in the settings which I suppose is what we are supposed to use. It would take me to:

    a. a completely new install Windows 10?

    b. a created image during the upgrade from 8.1 to 10, containing all my files etc. when performing the upgrade?

    c. or he would use the recovery partition from Lenovo (which would have used OneKey Recovery if it was compatible) and take me back to 8.1 for Windows?

    (d) another thing?

    2. once I did the upgrade and Windows 10 has successfully activated, I think I could create a bootable with ISO of Windows 10, inside boot media and install a completely new install of Windows 10 and activate it. Theoretically, I could make as many fresh installs from the boot media I want, as long as initially, I did the upgrade (not a clean install), and the hardware of the laptop does not change. Is this correct?

2A. If, therefore, during the first boot media clean installation process, I'd be sure compeletly remove the Lenovo recovery partition entirely and go from there, rely on 'Reset your PC' feature of Windows 10? Could I could use even just reinstall Windows boot again media 10 as a way to recover? If I understand correctly, it is not absurd to keep recovery partition it if it can not be used within Windows 10.

I think I had a desktop PC ordinary with a retail version of Windows, then everything above would be fine. The complications added here are that 1. I have no product key Windows 8.1 (alll is managed by the BIOS) and 2. I have no recovery disk. I want to make sure that I understand everything completely before moving, and potentially do a clean installation using bootable media, so that I don't end up ruin something and end up with either a laptop I can not recover, a Windows installation that is not enabled.

    Thank you.

Update for anyone of another reading:

I just uninstall OneKey recovery on my installation of Windows 8.1 for the upgrade. While Windows is concerned, OneKey Recovery has been completely removed.

The good news is that I then shut down the laptop, you press the novo button, selected "System Recovery" and I was always greeted with OneKey recovery program where I could choose to restore from original image, or a custom image. So I guess that once I have upgraded to Windows 10, I'll always have the option to restore to the factory Windows 8.1 if I ever need/want to.

The confusion seems to be that OneKey recovery software is actually two separate software:

1 OneKey Recovery #1 is installed in the hidden recovery partition which is responsible to perform a system restore from the image of your choice - either the image of plant or a custom image created by #2 OneKey recovery software. OneKey Recovery Software #1 is still accessible via the Novo button.

2 OneKey Recovery #2 is installed on the Windows 8.1 installation, which is responsible for the creation of custom system images. You can also choose to restore the system from here, but AFAIK, it just restarts the computer and OneKey #1 software, which allows you to recover expenses. OneKey Recovery #2 is the software Lenovo told us to uninstall it before Windows 10. However, uninstalling OneKey Recovery #2 let software OneKey Recovery tact #1.

As far as I know, this means that the uninstall OneKey Recovery #2 mean that we lose the ability to create custom system images, but we reserve the option to restore from a system image.

Can anyone confirm that I understood, and that what I said above is indeed the case?

I'm still a little uncertain about what Windows built tens in the willingness to ' PC ' do well - that it will use the Lenovo recovery partition or run a 10 Windows Installer Clean up.

  • What happens when two parallel process call the same VI in an FPGA?

    Hi all

I was wondering, what happens when say two parallel processes call the same Subvi in an FPGA? I think that the FPGA would create two instances of the Subvi, not sure. Any point of view?

    Thank you

    Altras

I don't know if the FPGA adds any ordinary special, but in LabVIEW rule and in LabVIEW Real-time, a VI by default is not reentrant.  Therefore, a process that is called when it is already in use is blocked and must wait.

If the VI is reentrant, however, then you have two (or more) for the VI dataspaces, so that each can run independently.

  • What does a double beep at startup

When I try to start the system I get a quick double beep and a message on the screen says "this bios is exclusively for Acer only" Copyright 202-2011 Acer Inc., but I can't enter BIOS using Delete or F10. What should I try to get into the BIOS or get the system started?
There is no disc in the DVD player and any connected USB disk. That means a double beep? I tried to use P2 mouse and keyboard and USB mouse then KB but still 2 beeps. Most computers have 1 beep at startup upward.

Well, I gave up trying to solve the MB. Instead, I just bought a new MB of Ebay, it costs $72 but was worth it. I installed the MB easily and it starts right up normally with just 1 quick beep, BIOS opens and everything works except that I had to order a new Acer E-recovery disk to reinstall Windows 7 but it's worth the $19 to have the original software from Acer for this particular PC. I always tell people to keep the system disks because you always in the future need, but most of the people who bring in it PC always loses, lol. Well, for those of you who responded to thank you for the advice.

  • What is the "system idle process" and why it seems to freeze my Windows XP and show the 99% CPU usage?

This problem sometimes occurs when my computer starts. Today, it happened and actually picked up my internet connection, which also won the update of Flash Player and Internet Explorer open. Also, I couldn't get the Start Menu to open. What is happening to the CPU is too busy doing something else? Is there a way to refresh the process or the CPU?

    Hi Hope_H,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

2 when was the last time it was working fine?

    3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    4. you receive an error message?

Checking service or program uses high processor usage by using Task Manager.

To view the CPU usage, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE, click Task Manager, and then click the performance tab.

    Overview of the Task Manager

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/taskman_whats_there_w.mspx?mfr=true

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

  • What is the system idle process, and do I need? Its killing me!

Can I remove it. Can I repair this hungry beast. It gets running in background and everything grinds down to a slow crawl. I check the task mgr and at the bottom of the list is the beast. Using 98% on the list, but showing the use of 27% on the dialog box. XP running on the laptop Dell D610. I've seen other years download program to show which processes are working but I'm not sure what to do with this info. I'm not as well that I would that be.

System Idle is 100% CPU capacity less any percentage is used. It is not the hungry beast, you think it is!

  • Is - what my VM double in size?

I had a problem today, when I noticed all the hard disk space has been exhausted.  I know I should have about 20 GB free so I ran the disc inventory to find where space is gone.  I found that VMware used 49GB, or almost double what I should be.  I went to start XP my machine to see what was going on and it wouldn't start.  I forgot the exact error I received, but research in the discussion, I found that I had to rebuild the .vmx file because the that I had was empty.  Now when I try to start the old machine, I get an error message 'One of the disks in this virtual machine is already used by a virtual machine or a snapshot.'.

I've included several log files, I found in the directory of machines.  I am new to this and completely lost now.  Anyone know what is happening?

    Thank you

    -Dave

According to the vmware.log file the following line should be...

    scsi0:0. FileName = "Windows XP Professional - 000001.vmdk".

Yet for some reason it is as follows...

    scsi0:0. FileName = ' / users/razorpit/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized / Windows Professional.vmwarevm XP / Windows Professional.vmdk XP.

Probably, he broke the VM further but you can try with the "Windows XP Professional.vmx" attached file created from the vmware.log file.

  • What is called the CAD process under windows

    Hi all

I installed on windows 2008 Server (10.1.3.4) DAC. When I go to start > programs > DAC > start server, I see a dos window which shows statements, but it does not say the dac Server began in everywhere.

When I look in the Task Manager, I don't see anything that specifies the dac server. When I connect to the console a few times I see the status of the server like Orange icon.

I'm confused :-(how should I confirm that the dac server runs on the server, which processes search etc.

in older versions the process window would remain but not this version, I guess, what is Server 2008?

    Thanks for your help!
    biadmin

    Hello

Normally the icon in the upper right corner of the UI DAC becomes Orange when server DAC works and is in a State of rest. ETL is running, switch to the Green so if the server is down, it passes to the Red

    1. If you are on windows, when you start the DAC server you don't see the window cmd back unless you change the file startserver.bat CAD file, comment out the line (JAVAW %) and the United Nations commentary line (JAVA %).
    2. an option under windows is you can create DAC server as a Windows Service and monitor the situation.
    3. on UNIX if DAC Server is running, you can check if the default port 3141 is listening

    Hope this helps

  • Help a beginner with what should be a simple process.

Hey guys, I'm a pretty much a poor Photoshop user at best. I can use all the basic tools and can usually figure things out once I have find a tutorial, but I was not able to find the best way to accomplish what seems like a simple step. I have a lot of icons I want to edit by removing the external grey/transparent square.

I tried the "select > Color Range ' and the 'magic wand' tool, but these tools themselves do not do the job. I couldn't get either of these tools to select only the exact area that I had to delete. The problem seems to be that some of the logo have gray similar characteristics to those who need to stay after that I have remove the external grey areas.

I need to find you with just the main logo in the square in a transparent .png icon. What would be the best way for a user of photoshop mediocre remove the outer gray image... and have all the edges that are just as strong as now?

Thanks in advance for any help.

For reference, I have included a few of the icons here:
