What is the difference between the processor

Hi all

I am interested in the R500, but can someone explain to me the difference between the processor

T5870 & T6670

I don't need a technical explanation, but this will be the average practice of difference?

Is it worth to pay extra price?

Any help is welcome

Thanks in advance

Yes, you can... depends on the software vistualization... running linux in windows is the best option you have... the other way around is a bit complicated

  • What is a difference between 'Logical processors' and 'logical processors for each host?

    Hi all!

In the official document VMware "vsphere-51-configuration-maxima" or "vsphere-55-configuration - maximums.pdf" in the section "ESXi host maximum rates------Maximums calculation" exists in the elements:

    "Maximum CPU------logical CPU for each host ' (vSphere 5.1: 160;)   vSphere 5.5: 320)

    and

    "Machine virtual maximums------virtual CPU by host ' (vSphere 5.1: 2048;)    vSphere 5.5: 4096)

Question: what is the difference between the two?

And a more complex thing to maximum rates:

    Virtual machines per host: 512

Number of hosts per cluster: 32

Therefore, the cluster may be Virtual Machines (maximum): 521 * 32 = 16384

But in the document, we have only 4000 VMs in maximum.

    Why?

    Thank you

    Ramirez,

I understand your question as difference between 1. logic virtual CPU vs / by the hosts and 2. cluster/host Max County VM.

    Consider the case below;

    2 servers ESXi - 20 mV

    ESXi taken 1-4, 2 cores / socket

    ESXi 2-8 Sockets, 2 cores / socket

    Now here number of CPU logic-(4 x 2) + (8 x 2) = 24

    20 virtual machines - 2 jacks, 2 core / socket

    Virtual CPU count - 20 x (2 * 2) = 80

Hope your first confusion is clear now.

And a more complex thing to maximum rates:

    Virtual machines per host: 512

Number of hosts per cluster: 32

Therefore, the cluster may be Virtual Machines (maximum): 521 * 32 = 16384

But in the document, we have only 4000 VMs in maximum.

    Why?

This means that even if you have 32 Guest and each host can accommodate 512 VMs each the maximum number of virtual machines per cluster may not exceed 4000. And it does not mean that you can have a maximum of VMS (512 * 32).

I plan to upgrade my OS to El Capitan.  What are the processor speed and memory required for the operating system works well?

    I use a processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 with DDR3 4 GB 1333 MHz memory.

My last similar attempt on another machine resulted in a very slow computer.

    Thanks, Ron

    Apple says the following:

    General requirements

    • OS X 10.6.8 or later version
    • 2 GB memory
    • 8.8 GB of available storage

For best performance, I would say not less 4 GB and preferably 8 GB or more.

Your i5 is well able to support properly.

  • What is a difference between the Satellite & Satego?

    Hello

Please, can someone tell me the difference between satego and satellite?

The difference between the Satellite and the Satego is the same as the difference between the Satellite and the satellite ;)

The difference is a portable computer name, but of course not all series are equipped with the same parts and peripherals!
So it's not easy to say what are the exact differences between the single computer laptop series. Simply check the descriptions

I just bought satellite A200 - 17 (PSAE0E) and BIOS in my machine is v1.50.
On this page, I noticed later BIOS is 1.80 so I wonder what changes are there between these two BIOS?
At the moment I am on Linux (ubuntu 7.10) as my OS and having two or three ACPI related problems so I can use the information on these changes.

    Hello

Sorry to say, but as far as I know BIOS changes are not published on the page of Toshiba.
I find some details about the driver Toshiba we page but nothing on the European driver Toshiba page.

I guess that it s a part of politics.

  • What is the processor Xeon 4 SCv2000 hearts?

I apologize because I had a similar question, but I posted it on NX3230 in the PowerVault section and it was a mistake. Do not NX3230 but SCv2000. What should I ask is on SCv2000 processor.

I have download a data sheet on SCv2000 series and it says that its processor is 4-core Xeon. Now I would like to know exactly what processor Xeon 4 strands used in Dell SCv2000. Is - this processor is single or double? What is E5 or E7? Is it v2 or v3? If only one CPU, is not turbo, the single processor Xeon E5-1607 v3, or low voltage Dell SC4020, single processor Xeon E3 - 1265L v2, 2.50 GHz, 4 cores?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I'd like to update my CPU, but don't know which are supported by my motherboard.

    I have a HP Pavilion DV6T-3000 series.

    Part of the motherboard: 615278-001

    Original CPU: i7-720QM

In the dv6 manual (link below), it is mentioned that the Intel Core i7-740QM, i7-820QM and i7-840QM can used in general by computer laptop dv6, but it's not to specify which processor when with the motherboard.

    http://www.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02657339.PDF

I would like to used the upgrade to i7-840QM, or at least i7-820QM or same i7-740QM as last resort.

Will be my motherboard suport it?

    Thank you

See page 22 of the manual here:

Unlike compatibility processor only in motherboards, it's that there are motherboards for dual core and Quad Core boards. If you have a Quad Core, you can install any other Quad Core. These mobile Intel Core i7 1 genQuads always tends to be expensive and I don't know how much delivery must be done by replacing one such Quad Core for another. The base clock speed increase would be only 1.6 to 1.86 ghz, which is not terribly important. On eBay the i7-840QM is still ongoing for over $ $100 and for that price you approach the cost of a 500 GB SSD, which would provide a lot more help to your user experience.

    Hello

Until you have created this topic, did you find it?
[Is it possible to upgrade the CPU or GPU of a Toshiba laptop computer? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=13]

If you want to risk this update check the specifications of the other portable Satellite M30. If you can find one with faster CPU, maybe it will work also on your laptop.

But don not forget that the current CPU is tested in your laptop!

  • RAM upgrade problem: Flash the BIOS? or upgrade the processor?

Hi, I jumped in with both feet and now need help to get out me!

I have a desktop PC HP Pavilion Elite HPE-470uk who becomes a bit slow (processor card here http://ark.intel.com/products/48505/Intel-Core-i3-550-Processor-4M-Cache-3_20-GHz). After you have added a bluray player that I noticed that it's getting a bit slow so thought I would add little RAM.

I bought a few Hyper X8GB of HyperXbeast 1600hhz, slipped in and the PC did nothing but to turn on and off several times. I checked the two sticks and they both do it. I then (plow in front) checked what memory, the processor can handle and discovered "The Intel® Core™ i3 - 5xx / Intel® Core™ i3-21xx processors handle memory DDR3 1066/1333 MHz" by http://www.intel.com/support/processors/corei3/sb/CS-031175.htm

After a discussion on another forum, that it has been suggested that I have updated the BIOS because it can allow the processor to manage memory 1600 mhz, but I don't know where to start on this or what version to selected download. I'd appreciate any help you can offer on this.

The other way, that I can see is to update the processor itself. I thought of nothing too fancy just an i5 because it will allow me to run 3d blurays and should allow me to run some apps at the same time. After reading this http://m.wikihow.com/Upgrade-a-Processor it seems too complicated. Is it really just a matter of taking off the fan, declipsant the old processor, nine droping in and then put on some cooling stick stuff?

Or should I just return the memory and get good memory?

    See you soon

    Atdot.

Here are the specifications of original factory for your desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-470uk and its card mother MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E). Based on these specifications, this model can support up to 16 GB (4 GB x 4 DIMMs) as follows:

    Dual channel memory architecture
Four DDR3 DIMM sockets (240 pin)
    PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)
    PC3-8500 (DDR3-1066)
    Memory non - ECC, unbuffered
Supports up to 16 GB on 64 bit computers

    In addition, this model can support the following Intel processors;

Maximum frequency of the processor of the heart < = 2.93GHz
    Intel Core i7 - 8xx (Lynnfield core)
    Intel Core i5 - 7xx (Lynnfield core)
    Intel Core i5 - 6xx (Clarkdale core)
    Intel Core i3 - 5xx (Clarkdale core)

If you do not have to worry about the update of the BIOS, there is no updates available for your computer BIOS. Honestly, I return the incorrect memory and upgrade to a minimum of 8 GB of RAM. Then, if it solves all your problems, you could also upgrade the processor.

As the computer is nearly 4 years old, you can consider a factory HP restore to return the computer to a facoty as State. In many cases, it returns original full speed of the computer. The reason why this helps, because the BONE is swollen and clogged over time.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

My computer is running Windows XP. When installing recently my computer HP printer failed complete installation on the supplied CD.

Then I noticed a dramatic slowdown in the speed of the computer.
I uninstalled the HP from the disk and was able to install the printer using the HP Web site.

I'd be interested to see a report of Disk Defragmenter. Open Disk Defragmenter and click analysis. Select view report, and then click Save as and save. Now find VolumeC.txt in your My Documents folder. Open the file, and place the cursor anywhere in the file, select Edition, select all to select all the text and copy and paste into the body of your message. To do this, before you run Disk Defragmenter because it is more informative.

2 Event Viewer includes three main newspapers of Windows. Here's the Application, security, and system. For purposes of troubleshooting system is by far the most important.

    3. to access the system log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window select Windows and the system logs.

    4. a tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. You will see a button resembling two pages. Click on the button and close Event Viewer. This places a copy of the report to your Clipboard. Paste it into the body of your message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.

    6. all reports have stamps date and hour and when troubleshooting, it is important to focus on the latest reports. Reports of studies from the point when the computer is started, and then check if a similar report appeared in the previous session. If errors do not repeat investigation as to why they happen is wasted effort.

  • difference between materailized and a table

    Hey hiii

I want to know what is a difference between a materialized view and that is to say a table suppose I create a table and another table B on the table, I created a trigger that will download all changes made to A, it IE insert, update or delete while it will perform all actions that a materialized view can perform on one or is there a difference between them

    Thks

In this case, MView will be much more robust and reliable, because it is designed for that you use coding the trigger. You will manage all possible exceptions and lock the trigger claim everything is Oracle build-in MView. And also, MView can be much more powerful.
