What is the exact definition of a "resource" in the contect of Oracle

Can someone please provide it? It's hard to Google for it :)

Hmmm, no resource is more info on the consumption of resources (CPU, memory,...).
You can set a profile to disallow the user to consume resources over a limit.

If by chance, you are looking for this definition.

What is the difference between oracle and peoplesoft databases. How the tables of metadata between the two relate?

According to my understanding, peoplesoft database exists as a schema on the oracle database.
Please correct me if iam wrong.

The second statement, I realized that each schema created its specific use.
for example, peoplesoft had 1000 objects (including the peopletools and application and system tables), each schema created above has access restrictions different on these database of 1000 objects. Am I wrong?

Yes, each schema has its own purpose and the grant for objects of Peoplesoft. SYSADM is the owner of the objects of Peoplesoft with all rights. PS is the owner of one and same table, PSDBOWNER and the PEOPLE is granted to select three of these tables (PSOPRDEFN and PSACCESSPRFL PSDBOWNER).

In addition, for DB2, what are the patterns of PeopleSoft?

It is located in the installation documentation dedicated to the database you want to work on:

The first statement, could you please elaborate on the part highlighted.

A "Peoplesoft database" is nothing, it's terms to refer to a database containing everything you need to make a Peoplesoft application running.

  • What is the map loads Oracle in 10.2.0.5 OEM?

In My Grid Control, I go to the target-> databases, see: map loads Oracle

but it's not showing anything... When I change the display of the search list, I get my goal of databases...

What is the map loads Oracle? why it does not show anything on my browser... It's like there is a missing image icon...

Am I need to install an IE plugin? My IE 6 shows nothing running out of plugin or something...

The load plan Oracle, will show a map of all of the databases according to the load. She'll understand each database as a rectangle, and its size depends on the load of data. More load on the database, the largest and the rectabgle.

You must however have installed Adobe Flash Player!

So just install the Flash Player.

  • What is the difference between Oracle RAC and Oracle Clusterware?

Hi all, it's maybe a stupid question, but I read the documentation and still do not understand what is the difference between RAC and Clusterware.
Can someone explain it to me?

    Thanks in advance!

ACR is part of database software Oracle database option should be the database mode cluster; See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e16508/glossary.htm#CNCPT2076.

Clusterware is a separate required to run the Oracle database in cluster mode: you can use Oracle Clusterware without Oracle database, but you cannot use Oracle Database with the option CARS without Oracle Clusterware.

  • What is the difference between Oracle and Oracle BI Apps applications?

Hello world. I am a consultant OBIEE and am looking for a job at the moment. I'm requirements asking for Oracle Apps (EBS) or Oracle BI Apps. 40% needs to ask these two. But I have no idea on the applications of BI O. I know EBS is an ERP... but there are a few similar words in BI applications. What are you saying??

If I want to learn Oracle BI apps, I need no knowledge of BSE?

    Thanks in advance,
    Pratap.

OBIEE is the infrastructure or the engine that runs the Oracle BI Applications. In other words Oracle shipped a full suite of Applications in the BI space, which is analytical supply & spend. Others to be called financial information and profitability, management of orders, related HR Analytics, etc. You can download presentations from Oracle's Web site marketing.

These are nothing, but the things that you would normally but comes pre-built out of the box. It is a whole warehouse with the model Physics (all of fact and dimension tables) Business model and presentation catalog data (Repository) and especially you get pre-built ETL routines in the form of adapters that you plug n play. You configure just a few things on the warehouse, beside the repository and on the side of Informatica (assuming you choose Informatica as your ETL product) and you're ready to go. Just to give you a simplistic ;-) This fact that re-badged Seibel analytics.

If your core skill is OBIEE then you must get your hands on an output of the drop box and start having a glance. You do not have to re-skill/re-train somehow, but just understand architecture. Then you use the same skills as answers, Deliver, Oracle BI admin.

  • What is the differene between the operation of the filter and NL semi join?

    Hi all.

The oracle is gr 10, 2 and 11 GR 2.

There are differences between the operation of the filter and the HASH/MERGE semi join in the treatment of subqueries.

But I couldn't see the difference between the operation of the filter and NL semi join?
(the only thing I know is that the operation of the filter mechanism has cached, but I'm not sure if semi NL)

What are the advantages and disadvantages of each of them?

    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards.

Each of what? Again - it must be as specific as possible if you want specific comments.

In addition, given that you should generally not use indications in production in any case code what does what are the differences? Oracle will make the choice.

Without something specific to comment on everything that we can do is provide several links that talk about joins and how to produce and review them. These are all notebook of Jonathan Lewis:

    http://jonathanlewis.WordPress.com/?s=semi-join

    http://jonathanlewis.WordPress.com/2011/06/08/how-to-hint-1/--comment tip for joins

Check out these articles. Pay attention to how, in each of them, it does not provide only a text description but also provides the code and explains the code.

In other words, it provides information specific to illustrate what he is talking about. That's what you need to do if you need help with a specific topic: provide the query plans and output that you use as the basis for your question. Allows us to see EXACTLY what you're talking about.

  • What is the exact meaning of the ATP in oracle?

    Hi all.

I would like to know what exactly means GST.

As far as I know, GST = (sum (the user is validated) + sum (restores user)) / time seconds

    -> where name in (a "user is committed," restores user);

However, other people calculate the GST on the following basis:

    -> performances / time seconds

    I'm a bit confused.

Can be different on a point fo view? or does have a linguistic definition?

    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards.

    >

I mean, it's the way of counting the GST in oracle.

When a COMMIT is issued and there is no committed transactions.

    My question was stupid.

100000 records being changed, inserted, or deleted, or just counting one as
the same thing can be confusing.

You can also count records changed / minute - which can be useful for
determinant of load on a system - of course the operations that modify
number of records will put more stress on a system than those who
do not change some of them.

I would like to know the technical definitions of GST in oracle, the linguistic definition of the peaks (transactions per second).
What is the fomula when counting of GST in oracle?

    = AGREES.

  • What is the definition of inactivity in the power settings?

What is the definition of inactivity in the power settings? Lack of information provided by a user or a process does not? If a computer runs a scan of disks and a user does not input is an active computer or not?

    Hello

Idle refers to the question of whether or not a device is used. This could be due to a lack of user input. For example, if the user is running a disk check, the disc is in use and is not idle. If the computer has been idle and the hard drive was not used, then the idle development would come into force.
