  first of all the aeons exists only in 11.2.0.1. It is removed in 11.2.0.2. So actually nothing to worry about.

  However IG itself uses multicast on public and private interconnection.
  Public, it is used by mdsnd to share the profile.xml if you change something in the bootstack (such as network or ASM_DISKSTRING settings).
  The private sector is used by mdsnd for the same (if there is a problem with the multicast on the public) and 11.2.0.2 for HAIP (redundant use of interconnection).
