  • I can't sync my iPhone SE because it took the latest version of iTunes, and I have already!

Hi people, I want to synchronize my iPhone SE with the data (music and pictures), I have on my iTunes on my Windows PC. I did all the steps correctly, the way I used to do with my iPhone 5 c (I had no problem with it). When I connect the cable of the lightning to my iPhone, I get this sign "the latest version of iTunes, visit www.itunes.com/download to get the most recent version", the thing is that I already have the latest version of iTunes, because when I go to "help > Check for Updates" it says I already have the latest version. " Furthermore, I reinstalled iTunes just in case some files may be broken and the same attention sign and blah blah blah. Can you help me with this problem? Thank you!

What version of Windows do you have?

The iPhone IS requires at least iTunes 12.3.X which, in turn, requires Windows 7 or later.

If you are still using Windows XP, the latest version of iTunes that you can run is iTunes 12.1.3.6.  If this is the case, I'm afraid you're stuck.

ITunes now works much more slowly. Takes a long time to load. It takes more than a minute after I plug in my Iphone for the IPhone to be recognized by Itunes.

I rebooted the machine. Remove the locked file. All have failed to solve the problem

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review other cases and a list of documents to support further down the page, in which case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent if you have problems to download, need to revert to a previous version or try the version iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for the problems of performance or compatibility with third-party software.

Your library must be affected by these measures, but it is also related to backup and recovery advice if necessary.

If you have tried the suggestions above without success, then another option is to go back to the previous version of iTunes that has worked for you. See the roll back tips to installers of iTunes. Roll back of 12.3.3 will be to restore the pre-upgrade library in the previous iTunes libraries folder.

  • Two versions of iTunes on different partitions?

I have a MacBook Pro mid-2009 (4 GB of RAM, 2.26 GHz, 160 HD) which is running Mavericks (10.9.5) but I install a 1 TB hard drive.

If I have two partitions; a Mavericks running (so I can continue to use Aperture) and the second running snow leopard, am I able to run two different versions of iTunes? I prefer v. 10 to 12.3.1 which I am running.

If I'm able to run two different versions of iTunes, I am able to run them both off the coast of the same library or would I need a library on each partition? My current library is about 250 GB and is not likely to grow much. Obviously I prefer not having to have two libraries of the size.

If I am able to do all this, advice or suggestions on the best way to do it?

When you start from a partition or another, it's as if you use another Mac.  Each partition can have a different version of iTunes.

Each partition will have its own iTunes library.  Also, Apple goes to the "structure" of the iTunes library (to support the new features), so you would not be able to use the library to iTunes latest version with an older version of iTunes.  And if you use a library of iTunes version older with a more recent version if iTunes, iTunes will update the library.  So, you will need to have two different libraries.

However, the 'library' is not the same as the iTunes Media folder.  You may be able to set each library to access the same folder of iTunes Media (in the pane of the Advanced of the iTunes preferences), by putting the folder iTunes Media to a location that is accessible from both systems.  But it may not work so well in practice, because when you make a change to a library iTunes (such as adding a song), the other iTunes library won't change.  So, even if this new file of the song is in the iTunes Media folder, it will appear in the 'other' iTunes music library (until manually add you it too).

Subscribe to iTunes game can work ($25 per year) to make things easier

    https://www.Apple.com/iTunes/iTunes-match/

You launch iTunes game using the system with all of your songs in the iTunes library.  Your songs are "matched" (for the songs that exist in the catalog to iTunes Apple Store) or downloaded songs unpaired.  Your library of music iTunes "iCloud" (including data such as the sides of the song and playlists) becomes available for all your computers, so in each of your two systems Mac iTunes can access the library, which remains to date for changes or the other system.  And if you use an iPhone or an iPad, you can access the same library of music of these devices too.  At the bottom of the information page, it is said

iTunes game requires iOS 5.0.1 or later on iPhone 3GS or later, iPod touch (3rd generation or later), iPad, or iPad mini, or a Mac or a PC with iTunes 10.5.1 or later. Access to services is limited to 10 devices.

so it should work with the older version of iTunes that you want to use (as long as it is at least 10.5.1).  You must keep an iTunes library that is linked to your iTunes Media folder full local.  The other iTunes library access to your iTunes library in iCloud.  iTunes game synchronizes your local library with the iCloud library.  Added advantage is that you can replace any song matched with his record of 256 Kbit/s to Apple song (no), if your existing (local) song file is of poorer quality.
