What is this icon that looks like a battery in the field of domain name of the Firefox browser?

The battery icon, do you mean that I have attached below? If so, it's just a new Firefox security measure to prevent malicious plug-ins to run automatically. The button is provided in case you disagree, so that you can activate for that particular site. It is also there in case you want to disable some plug-ins for other sites. More about it here.
