  Even if you get a Mac or any other Windows laptop, you have the same problem with a screen high resolution or the retina.

  I am currently looking for a new laptop that I play music and video clips. The program I want to run has a recommended spec:
  P4 3 GHz cpu
  Card direct X video such as NVidia GeForce 6600 or higher, or ATI 9800 or higher
  4.1 direct X or card Asio sound compatible
  2 GB OF RAM
  200 MB or higher-hard drive

  Anyone know a name or make of laptop can handle the above?

  The specifications of your programs are not high if you buy a cheaper model with a bit slower CPU and graphics card.
  But important to know would be what display size you want because there are a lot of different Toshiba laptops.

  Theoretically, Toshiba NB300 should be fast enough but it has a small screen size but very high battery life because it saves energy.

  You have external speakers or headphones? If this isn't the case, I would recommend a laptop computer with speakers Harman/kardon powerful as Satellite A660. This last one I and it of absolutely brilliant, the best laptop I've ever had. It has the powerful processor Intel Core i7 CPU with 6 GB of RAM, 500 GB drive HARD and nVidia GeForce GT330M graphics card. Keyboard is quite nice for typing and the display has many colors due LED backlight.

  Friend bought me also by Satellite A660 but with processor i3 and Core 4 GB of RAM. That s too powerful and for your needs, it would be fast enough.

  I'm new here in the forum and really hope that you could help me. I am a convinced user of TOSHIBA laptop (currently using a Satellite Pro M30), but when it comes to the planned purchase of a new... I'm totally lost in the models and different series.

  I need only for text and the table (layout) work (MS Office) not for entertainment (so 15.4 "inch TFT (large?) the screen is enough), work and outdoor (long battery life is required), as well as the disk hard reasonable (60 GB) and USB (2-4) connectors. I DO NOT NEED a built-in webcam, 17 "inches screen, entertainment hot keys, TruBrite (I have heard that those who are irritating due to the reflexes of the light outside?). So a laptop TOSHIBA works rather solid and fundamental is needed.

  My deadline for this is 1,000, and after checking several sets of TOSHIBA, I realized that my configuration and financial limits correspond essentially to the SATELLITE series. But even here, there is such a huge choice. If someone can advise, who would best fit my needs?

  Well, you n t need a laptop for multimedia use high performance or game. In this case you shouldn't t buy a Qosmio series. The notebooks are portable high performance, but not very mobile computers.

  We will soon be deploying Office 2007 Std. For our desktop computers that we replace everything with a less powerful than a P4 2400 MHz processor.
  However, the situation with the laptop processors is less clear. Some of our Toshiba laptops have Celeron or other low range processors.

  Note: I am assuming that we will upgrade at least RAM 512 MB on all PCs, so it's only the processor I'm not sure.

  I spoke with a friend of mine on Office 2007 and I asked him about the problem you are having.

  There is a kind of MCSE (Microsoft Certified Software Engineer) and he told me that everything on celeron would be good for Office 2007.

  So if you want Office 2007 to run smoothly on the listed machines then just use laptops that have a "pentium M" installed because the Celeron is really too slow for this work.

  It seems that the 3521 is always available on the website of Dell India. The warranty is indicated under the pc as to how much time it is available. The two models seem to offer the same guarantee. You can always call and ask questions about the extended warranty.

  Either probably would be perfect for your needs honestly.  I don't see being a big limiter there RAM, and Intel HD graphics have come a long way since the horror stories years (Vista).

  As long as you have a model with at least two internal disks of 7200 RPM SATA and eSATA and at least 6 GB but better 12 GB port you are marginally OK, if you also have a quad core i7 with HT.
