What terminal uses El Capitan is bash?

Hello everyone. I know that Mac OS is UNIX-based. I also used Linux and I found that the terminal in El Capitan is Kind ' a bash? Am I wrong?

Can someone tell me what are the differences between a bash on Linux and here?
I did not had the time to explore all the commands but I used the most common and they are working like charm.

Is there a documentation on this?
I think I could manage my much better with the Mac OS terminal.

Thank you.

"Linux" is often used to describe a wide range of operating systems & comparing to OS X distributions are beyond most people, so you'll have to do some work if you really want to compare them. Linux is just a kernel, so expecting it concern the bash is somewhat inappropriate.

OS X uses bash by default as always read the instructions in the Terminal...
