• What is this icon on my text box? It is the breaking copy in the text box.

  Can someone tell me what this little icon on the left side of the text box in the screenshot below? I tried to google it with no luck and I don't know what to do to turn it off then my text doesn't go haywire. I copied the text area of a document.   Looks like you pasted the frame on a master page. This icon appears on text blocks that reside on a Master.

  Not sure if the erratic behavior of alignment is however; Maybe something else on the page has wrapping applied... (?)

  Can someone help me please understand that this lighter blue line is above the text box? It seems to be an extension of the text box, or a spacer/padding? I was given this file by another designer and unforunately, I'm not familiar with this feature. I would use it in the future - remove/change/add - to text boxes...  Thank you!!!

  Just moved to CS5 to CC and to see that the text boxes are always short fixed width despite URLs always larger than the size of the content.

  At hope that they corrected it because it is really difficult to type manually or correct a URL in these boxes of short.

  Is there is way to be extended to a larger width of character?

  InDesign lets me select the text box, but does not allow me to move. I've never had this problem before. I checked the items and they are not locked, I have no wraparound, related work or layers. • Responsive text box

  Excuse what probably is a very basic question, but although he had nearly 20 years of experience in graphic design, I am a relative noob when it comes to Web design. I have a landing page, I'm doing for a client (Dropbox - AYIN Website.zip ) which has the address and other contact information at the bottom right of the page, including a hyperlink to the email address. I searched the forums, but can't seem to find this particular issue, my apologies if I forgot the previous discussion.

  What I would like is this text box resize as-is as well as the rest of the page, as if it were an image embedded in the background; However all the combinations of parameters that I've tried so far can't meet this goal. The size remains the same when the window is reduced, and the text of the winds all the way at the bottom of the page, broken on more lines there originally. The logo resizes correctly, why the text will not do that?

  You want textsize to shrink, when the browser window is reduced to a minimum? More browser/screen, plus the text window?

  If you really need something like that, write your text in Illustrator and export it as an SVG graphic. Or use a system font, forcing Muse, to convert the text into an image, which will reduce proportionally just as each image.

• #apDiv text box position problem

  I am a teacher and amateur graphic designer, make a website for children who have learning difficulties. The page I'm trying is available here:

  As you can see there are 'bigger text' and 'small' buttons at the top right of the page using CSS (this is my first shot at CSS). The page works as I want, but I can't place the text as I want it on the screen.

  What I am after is the text boxes under the images where the text gets bigger and smaller when the 'more large text' button is clicked, but at present the text in small characters is not positioned below each image, and large text moves down rather than being exactly where was the small text. I don't know how to move the text up (i.e. to change the space around the word 'University' for the word is plu top), or how to get the big text to focus on the very place where was the small text. I hope that makes sense.

  Finally, I would like to add a cookie to the site so that the preference for large or small text will be remembered. If you could point me in the right direction on how to do that I would be very grateful.

• Drop-down list complicated, making several text boxes

  Hello everyone. I searched high and low for something to talk about exactly how to do what I want - but I'm not finding anything that is quite right. Anyway, I want a drop down (with potentially hundreds of choice - I'd like to limit the number, but there is really no way...) where someone can choose their selection, then, after this election, several other text fields are filled with the corresponding information. I would like to have a file of database with the drop-down list of choices, then define somehow this on the ground and then what information goes into the next text box. This way you can get something from the menu drop down and the other boxes get filled correctly. Is this possible?

  Hi Joel, I think, if the information does not change much then your best bet is to stay in shape, as independent as possible, is to have the information contained in the form.  There are a number of connectivity problems that your users could suffer with an external data source.  I do not expect performance to be a problem, I developed forms with thousands of selections in a drop down, you can find the example I did a drop-down list of useful research in the Adobe Cookbook section, http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_Drop_Down_List_Control_with_auto_complete__Searcha-18402.h tml, if your data contains a hierarchy then there are a number of examples around dependent dropdown lists to try , like this one http://thelivecycle.blogspot.com.au/2011/01/multi-level-dropdown-list.html. • Expandable text boxes continue on the next page?

  So I'm still new to do with LiveCycle Forms. I managed to get about 95 percent of the done form. What I can't understand is how to get a subform with two expandable to be returned on the second page text boxes. Any ideas? I read that "technically" it isn't a second page that it was all based on the hierarchy but, I have a second page "(sans titre Subform) (page2.") I want the subform with expandable text boxes ended on the second page and push the content down. So far, all I got is for information to cut at the bottom of page 1.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  given that your text box is inside a subform that is on a Page, you must ensure that each of the elements who are the parents of the textbox are all resolved Flowed content

  Also, make sure that each parents are allow to jump to Page content

  You can find these options in the object palette > subform

  

  Also, make sure that your text box has Page breaks allow within the content option 'checked '.

• Expandable text box

  My client is interested in the following set up:

  1. a user clicks on a button and it brings up a text box hidden with information there.

  2. in the text box, there is another button that is able to extend the text box and displays additional information.

  3. when the user is finished, the click the button again and the text returns to the initial display.

  Can someone guide me on how to set up this situation. I am aware that JS should be, but I'm rather elementary in the JS area.

• Expandable text boxes

  Hello

  I am trying to create a PDF form that contains the expandable text boxes.

  I want users to be able to type in a text box that would extend until the user types and once they are make typing the text box would then return to its original size, but if you click it again, he would show all of the text that has been previously typed.

  Database coding (HTML & CSS) is necessary to get the most out of DW.   It of not an app drag & drop like Photoshop or Illustrator.

  If coding isn't your strong point, try Adobe Muse.  MU is for designers and non-codeurs enjoy working in a GUI.   You are limited with what you can build with MU.  So don't expect to do advanced stuff or you will not be disappointed.  But for the basis of hobby, charity or vanity sites, MU might be all you need.

  I'm trying to create a form that has fields required in it. I know that Adobe Acrobat is a great way to say "Hey, you must complete this part of the form...." "so what I wanted to do was put an overlay of a text box on top of the question, so they can't jump some criteria in the form. For example, if my name is John and my last name is Smith I would like the first (first name) box is visible and the second box (surname) to be hidden until I enter any name such as John, Joe, Chris, Abigail, etc..

  Is it possible that there is that the availability of hide a box of text over the expression until something has a value contained in the previous question?

  When resizing of a text box, click and hold for a moment before starting to resize. This will allow to see live redesign.
