What type of license I have? (Dreamspark / MSDN-AA)

Hi friends,

I have a copy of Windows 7 and Windows 8 Professional that I got through Dreamspark program (formerly MSDN-AA) at my school.

It is my understanding that editions of the retail Windows are the property of the person and can be disabled on the computer, they are installed on and active on a different computer, as long as they are activated only in one place at the same time.

I've also heard that certain products present a number of activations, I don't know if the previous rule is true of these products.

How can I find out what type of license I have?

I have consulted the EULA, who had this to say:

"b.Installation and usage rights.". You can install and use on your copies any more two devices each offers software made available to you through the student subscription, but only (a) to support your studies; (b) in non-commercial research; or (c) to design, develop, test and demonstrate software for the above purposes. »

That means I have 2 activations? These activations can be disabled and reused? Is this a limitation on the number of copies of the installation of the media I have permission to do?

As says the EULA, you are entitled to install on both devices. Yes, you can deactivate and transfer the license to another machine.

DreamSpark/MSDN-AA licenses are equivalent to the commercial versions in terms of functionality.

According to the agreement between your University, there may be restrictions on the use after completing your course.
